I agree, but I put more onus on the whiner snitched to them.

I'm too bummed out right now to read a bunch of legalize in a foreign language. Can any of you guys summarize their definition of 'real porn' and reasons why written smut shouldn't be considered such? Many thanks.

I think it boils down to "It offends my boner/clit therefore it is wrong."

Really? I don't see why would Google revoke their decision then. Savin's stuff is good, but it can offend plenty of genitalia.

...differing opinions? In all honesty I genuinely don't know, but I saw an easy swing and I took it I admit.

Nah, see, Google doesn't give a shit about written porn.

They care about VISUAL porn, and a lot of my old docs had pictures of the characters at their header. eg. Treated Reaha had a pic of a futafied amazon Reaha bending a catgirl over on the front page. Just backspace the image off and bam, good to go.

So you can have mamabliss levels of vile snuff pron if it's written but one set of drawn genitals gets the doc pulled? Seems legit and not at all retarded. ¬¬

figures... still that whole having interns glance through these documents is amusing. Makes you wonder do they just glance through it or are they forced to read the whole thing to come to a determination on if it has said breaking the TOS or whathaveyou. And you got to wonder how many of them have been corrupted by reading said material o_O

That awkward phase when Caede was transitioning from abandonware SavIP to Kaede in TiTS.

Wait what? *Goes and reopens SavIP to check* Holy shit I totally forgot what the feline chick you meet at the start was called! She became Kaede? Wow, hell of a transition, good thing I had the game still to remind me.

You probably weren't around for the days of yore when Savin created a sequel to CoC, this was before TiTs was even an idea in Fen's head, it went by the name SavIP. Meanwhile the discussion is in reference to the first NPC ally you meet in that game who went by the name Caede, apparently after Savin sent the game to Valhalla he brought the character over to TiTs.

I had read something about a sequel to COC, but I thought it was still in the works...is the concept of a sequel still happening and it's just it happening in the form of SavIP or is the entire idea scrapped.

Hopefully I'm not nudging a dead horse, but as you correctly surmised, I've only been a back for Savin's stuff for about a year now and even then only a couple of months on the forums.

No you're half right, SavIP was the sequel to CoC and had a very early alpha release, Savin dumped it however in favor of continuing his work on CoC. Then TiTs came along and the idea was that only until CoC was done would Savin restart his work on CoC2.

SavIP itself is based on the same theme of fantasy-adventuring-rpg as CoC but unrelated to its story, CoC2 however is supposed to be more related and official a sequel to the original whereas SavIP is a spiritual successor. (Or at least this is how I remember it from scattered bits of info here and there, you'd need to ask Savin himself for the details, I probably got a few bits wrong somewhere along the way)

Gotcha, so TiTS now, CoC2 later. I'm guessing that while still a sequel, CoC2 won't be connected to the previous game except in the most general terms. As awesome as it would be to carry over stuff from the previous game, I am pretty sure that the coding and time needed for that to happen could be summed up as, "Aw HELL No!"

Personally I hope that whatever comes as a sequel, and Savin is the main writer for it still, he keeps some of his ideas from SavIP. I honestly adored it when it came out, it was like seeing CoC for the first time all over again, it's why I still have the alpha release years later.

Now you're making me wish I had had a chance at it, sounds pretty epic.

But yeah, good old pinkie got recycled after SavIP was rip. Just changed her from doge to cat-grill and bam, new Totally Original Character Donut Steele.

SavIP was meant as a "proof of concept" for CoC2, and was written in a way that the CoC IP could be applied with a few minor edits (ie, the Demon King becoming Lethice the Demon Queen, etc.). But yeah, now that CoC is actually ~done~ish and I have secured Based Code Dragon, well...

Nah, nah. SavIP was years and years ago (and was abandoned because lol coding hahaha). CoC2 is happening as CoC2.

Good guess.

The sheer, massive differences in CoC's epilogues (not to mention how sweeping and expansive they are -- some taking place over generations) makes a direct continuation pretty much impossible. At least without screwing half the audience and choosing a "canon" ending.

Can say with some confidence most of what was in SavIP (mobs, characters, locations) will be making the transition. Though the context for them will be fairly different.

Yeah, I actually like the mechanic of the paired spells, one spell that "softens up" the enemy and the other to do the damage.

I also thought the idea of the Demon King being beaten as the "calamity that changed the world." is a nice touch as it harkens back to the well done fantasy trope of "spiteful parthian shot." by the defeated baddy.

I grock that the vast majority of stuff from CoC won't be making it in but will some of the fav characters be making a reappearance or at least homages in the form of new characters?

Probably not going to have more than a couple reappearing minor characters, though homages are certainly possible.
