I think calling it mindless grinding here is a bit much Melancholy. I hate grinding in games, but this will take you all of about 30 seconds if you want to blitz right through that, it's not a hassle at all. Is it a bit odd that this needs to occur in the first place? Perhaps, I don't have many personal thoughts on it at the moment, but when I think unhealthy grinding I think of the shitty 30% drop rates on Succubus Milk, which you need 9 or so of to recruit Viv if you banished the fiendish blue cat-thing from your Wayfort and can't just buy them.Using mindless grinding as a fix is never good, that's the fastest way to have anyone switch up.
I believe they meant rp as in getting a bit more in-character whilst playing the game, getting a bit more immersed and actual roleplay are too completely different ballparks and the former is something I imagine a lot of people do to some extent given this is a text based smut game with a bit more emphasis placed on writing and world than most. This isn't the rp boards so it's not surprising people take what ya said seriously. (it doesn't sound like rp at all either) >.>''''
Oh I see now, you have to talk to her again right after to not do that. My bad, It didn't occur to me to talk to her again after our chat just stopped and I always went back to Lumia and she wouldn't continue without her. It's not.
Christ, that's ruff. Never occurred to me to send the big blue merchant away even as a pure boi. Not all the quests are hits but when they hit it's a home run.the shitty 30% drop rates on Succubus Milk
True, but that wasn't my beef; if you look at the problem it undermines both ways of play. According to @Tide Hunter our character is the one holding out (which is true, I checked), which is even worst than my first point. It breaks immersion because our character is down to fuck anything at any time, yet he wants to wait with Cait even tho they are still willing to have others fuck her. Then from a roleplaying perspective, it takes already limited control from the player by saying their character thinks this, what if the player that created the PC doesn't agree with that?I believe they meant rp as in getting a bit more in-character whilst playing the game, getting a bit more immersed and actual roleplay are too completely different ballparks and the former is something I imagine a lot of people do to some extent given this is a text based smut game with a bit more emphasis placed on writing and world than most.
Harvest valley is right there bruh.Using mindless grinding as a fix is never good
Maybe it looks weird to some. But "The Dev Team" you're talking about is Savin who straight up had Cait state that because of where she came from and her upbringing that casual sex is normal for her and she makes that clear to you when you approach her. You're not the one telling her to fuck strangers, she was. Cait is allowed to fuck anyone she fancies just like the PC is. Savin wrote her personal quest (not the one involving Calla, her initial character quest), which is literally you going from Evergreen to Barley and then boom. And all you get is an actual (casual, open mind you, just like she stated) relationship and anal sex, which outside the latter there's nothing different in your relationship with her outside of it being official. If you have a problem with Cait tell him so that he can ignore ya.It might not be the intent but it does look weird, you don't see the disconnect between telling her to fuck strangers which she'll do at the drop of a dime, her fucking anyone she fancies, and having to wait through a bunch of texts for it? It ain't deep (a lot in this game isn't deep, except the quest variation, those are mint asf) but the details matter, I said it before, someone in the Dev team just didn't think it through enough.
Who are you even implying with that first question? Because atm I only have seen Ryn brought up in that sort of thing around here because I haven't played the damn game further than what I'm used to in a looooong time bruh. (At least let me take my time so that I can get context, dang /sarcasm)When someone says they look at you differently when you've done something they don't approve of, what does that imply? If the intent of the talk scenes are to subtly convey she's hypocritical with sex, cool that adds depth to her character, but I don't think that's the case because other character moments and events don't acknowledge or use this fact. And you don't either because of what you said.
Don't even bring that up, I didn't even realize Zo gave away abilities until entering Khor'minos. Grinding will always be uninteresting unless there are major differences in the scenario you are grinding in, the thing you are grinding for is big in reward, or it has a lasting impact throughout the game. I'm not going to bash Harvest Valley because it was one of the early lvls when they were figuring out quest design (which is weird to me since Foothills was the first and it has excellent quest design). It is what it is.Harvest valley is right there bruh.
I don't think you understand or you are twisting my words, so let me break down. I do not care that she fucks other ppl, what I'm wondering is why my PC is made to wait in line/grind dialogue when both characters are randy and ready to fuck at any point. It does not make sense or serve a function. This "dialogue gate" makes both characters look weird and it isn't implemented right because both characters aren't given any development outside of this moment that indicates they would wait to fuck someone. From the pc's perspective, the warning is good but the gate should go unless it serves another purpose.Maybe it looks weird to some. Okay, I'll say it in a simpler way, because maybe I'm too stupid to understand what you're getting at (because I have a hard time getting things):Don't even bring that up, I didn't even realize Zo gave away abilities until entering Khor'minos. In hindsight, Foothills is a bit rough, but they were starting to find the grooves of their quest design. A good fix for Arona and Berry is to have sex scenes unlock gradually to signify progress. They had splits in the narrative and last consequences down tho.For the record I find looking around for Arona and repeatedly beating her up, as well as to a lesser extent looking around for Berwyn and beating him up repeatedly to be more of a "grind" than anything in Harvest Valley. Zo I... may or may not have read much of because she's wordy to a degree I normally only ascribe to certain Foxen I also tend to end up skipping massive chunks of because otherwise my eyes would glaze over, but clicking through her text boxes when it's in a pre-determined order of how many clicks get me my powers (of which I most often just want the first one anyway) feels to me at least less grind than just repeatedly searching for Arona over and over again until she grows tired of it.
Lusina and Sariel in Harvest Valley I might compare to them, and maybe the Centaur Pack if I'm looking for the TFs, but unlike Arona and Berry not caring if you're finding them or not doesn't gatekeep a pretty big chunk of content, making them way more optional.
Is what it is, call it a convenience then?Okay, I'll say it in a simpler way, because maybe I'm too stupid to understand what you're getting at (because I have a hard time getting things):
Literally what "grind" is there. Because I don't see it.
O_O wow it looks like a lot of stuff is happening in this thread
I know people have talked about CoC II's design documents and such... but I don't know if that was enough. Or too much, for that matter. It looks like the scope of the game has slipped out of their fingers... character customization with intimate consequences, dialogue choices, free movement, time of day, companion NPCs, combat with unique weapons and varieties of damage types/modifiers, base building... I don't know how large the development team is, but there's no way it's large enough to adequately cover all these things. Not even Bethesda can do it, hence the popular catchphrase "wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle".
I don't know how much of a nest egg they've saved up, but maybe they can have more time in "pre-production" for the next game, and along with a more stable and cohesive writing team, and a smaller scope. Then again, without advertising such a large scope, they may end up lacking in Patrons... sigh
Most transformation turns you into a woman most of the cool ones would love more transformation that allows the mc to stay as a guy would love to play incubus buuut.....
In my opinion it seems majority of the clothing and armor is written for women. And no, most transformation items do not make you look like a woman
those are not TFsIn my opinion it seems majority of the clothing and armor is written for women.

Most items seem to be made with a female character in mind in terms of describing it as "revealing" or similar, but that didn't stop me putting Kunoichi suit on my very male Kitsune thief. I just figure he adjusts it a little bit to be more "ninja" suit than specifically "female ninja" suit. My Orc meanwhile quite enjoys his Royal Leathers, I figure the skimpy bits there as per the tag are just to show off his bulging muscles and bulging... bits to show off when using Dominance on his next hapless fuckpet.
Ok let ! me clear up what I was saying, a lot of the transformations will turn you into a female grow boobs etc, was trying to transform into a manticore then bam the mc got boobs then I tried salamander and the boobs struck again lol. I'm not complaining or trying to force the creators to change their hard work I'm just pointing it out because I don't understand how salamanders and manticore are female only races not trying to start anything.
Fine, "most unique armor" then, there's a few very notable exceptions (Conqueror's Breastplate, Tiran Paladin Plate) and one very unique example where you get either the Tiran Nun Habit or the Tiran Vestment, altering depending on your gender, which personally I appreciate but when that was brought up last time there was at least one femboy player unhappy about not getting some sexy nun wear so... I guess you can't please everybody, lol. That‘s true to an extent, at least in regards to some of the light armor, but that still only amounts about 1/3 of the armor on offer. That’s hardly ‘most items’.

For the most part Heavy armors are fairly gender neutral, but that pretty much means tanks in this game, which is part of what led to me making almost all my male characters tanks and my female characters light armor DPS types. Which feels like an artificial shift.
Corrupt Salamander?Well, Manticores are all all either females or hermaphrodites in the setting, so there is no getting around that with their transformative. You can just take some Wild Melon infused Blue Eggs to shrink them back down though.
As for the Salamander transformatives, you really shouldn’t be getting them if your gender alignment is masculine/gender preference is male, but honestly I’m not entirely sure they’re all working correctly, particularly the Corrupt Salamander transformative sold by Nash.
Lastly, for the Incubus transformation, either bite the bullet and drink the cum, or just use the save editor to give your champ the associated demonic features if it’s really that much of an issue for you![]()

First, what I meant to say was that the majority of light armor and clothing seems to be written for female as that is how I imagine them when ever I read the description. As for heavy armor I tend not to wear them so I have little to talk about them. How, exactly? I mean, certainly an argument can be made in regards to the underwear on offer, but over 2/3s of armor and clothing would be considered unisex.
This is particularly true of the armor on offer, since judging by their description most of them are practical armors, not fantasy boobplate, with the obvious exceptions of things like the Mail Bikini.
Since head, hands and feet are different slots, there is no single armor that covers you from head to toe. The equippment in the "armor" slot only covers the torso and presumably the thighs as well. Also correct me if am wrong but it seems the game lacks full body armor or is just me not reading them well.

If I recall correctly, the femboy player was mostly unhappy that they didn't get to choose. Like, having something like "You find a..." and then having the choice between the nun habit or the vestment would make it better for them. It's good to have differing aesthetics, but making it a gender lock (even if only on acquiry, since a female character turned male can still have the nun suit) is rather annoying.Fine, "most unique armor" then, there's a few very notable exceptions (Conqueror's Breastplate, Tiran Paladin Plate) and one very unique example where you get either the Tiran Nun Habit or the Tiran Vestment, altering depending on your gender, which personally I appreciate but when that was brought up last time there was at least one femboy player unhappy about not getting some sexy nun wear so...
