I mean there is a logical argument to be made when it comes to cursed artefacts that change your gender that it is also rewriting your brain, especially when the specific purpose of this golden armour was to change overly dominant males into much more docile females by the tribe that used it.
Suppose there's the fact as well that the very first thing you can do after Brint goes through the transformation is roughly push yourself upon her

Personally not like I think too heavily on it myself, its a porn game so the whole thing is just a contrivance to get a sexy minotaur girl on the team and Brienne is still a warrior after the change.
Though also one that is pretty obsessed with being bred...

This is the nittiest of picks, but I wish silly mode were a bit....modular

I want the pop culture references and a couple of the fourth wall breaks, but I don't want my currency to just be called "fur gold" for example.

I've hosted and been part of several campaigns that have gone to level 17-20. It's all based on what you find fun, I think the low level stuff is quite boring personally, but that is just me.
Yeah, I'm the exact opposite. I can't stand D&D past level 10.

Really, at least in 3/5E, it start losing its fun pretty quickly past level 5.

You probably would have hated the campaign I ran up to level 38 in 3.5 than lol.

10th level is where the absurdity is at least somewhat grounded, and 10 levels is good enough for this game.

I can't speak for others, but for me personally I don't like grounded stuff in a fantasy game. I love the magic and over the top stuff that comes with becoming incredibly powerful. If this game stops at 10 awesome, but if it went higher level than that even better imo at least.

I'm have trouble getting invested in Cait because it feels like she left the temple and chased after her sister cause 'she had to for the story'. Was her goal simply to bring her sister back to the temple to live with her despite it clearly being a life Calla despised or did Calla actually leaving make Cait think "Oh shit, maybe I'm missing out on something more in life"?
You have done all of Cait's conversations, right? Because she answers this right at the start of the game if you ask her about her family. Calla wanted adventure and to see new horizons, Cait was happy at the Temple but wanted to be with her father and Calla more so after agonizing over the decision for a while she left to join them, but not before getting her brand because she hadn't made up her mind by that point. The three of them were traveling together for a year or two before the start of the game so there was absolutely no 'I must bring Calla back to the Temple' about it, Cait wanted to see the world too and she wanted to do it with them. She mentions that her mother even encouraged her in this.

There's followup to this once you complete Cat Call and can talk to her, to Barney and to Sally. While there's plenty of room for further writing, two branching paths for her and a few teases to future story content for her, Cait's motivations for being in the Marches in the first place are pretty established at this point.

I haven't played in awhile and was trying to pull from memory, maybe I just didn't find her interesting and that was the problem with remembering her story. Or I'm just fucking stupid. Either way thank you for humoring me, disregard my stupidity.

I didn't want to give the impression that I dislike Cait because I actually don't, my feelings for her as a character are just neutral. Their story (as I remember it) just didn't get me particularly invested in the sisters. Regardless, I need to replay with the combat balance update maybe revisiting their story for a second time will be different. My apologies, I shouldn't have posted in the first place.

A minor thing I wish this game had - a tomboy salamander waifu

Helia from CoC1 was my absolute fav and she even got a full story dungeon and romance arc

I do adore the companions already in 2, but.... c'mon now.

Tomboy salamander.

Considering Helia is Savin's creation and we'll eventually get to Tychris - A new tomboy salamander waifu probably in the cards. In fact if you follow Moira on twitter she's already created several pieces of art for some frost manders for the game.

Pretty sure its also the Perma TF(god TF) Savin is doing, so you can become the tomboy Salamander.

Kythie. She's waiting for Tychris to be written/implemented but Savin has literally described her as 'bluemander upcoming tomboy wife' and it sounds like we'll be seeing her early-ish next year.

He's also described her mother as the 'MILF tomboy'.

CoC 2 needs a level expansion very, very soon. I am actually surprised they didn't include one in the update.

You are pretty much guaranteed to be level 6 when you finish Winter City, and even excusing use of Razorcup nector there is a good chance you will have maxed XP by the time you finish it. There is a huge amount of content that you see while levelcapped at 6, and a lot of it is extremely challenging due to being stuck at 6 and unable to advance, such as all of Winter Wolf.

Level 6 just doesn't cut it anymore for how far along the story has come so far. I know that level 10 is final-total-for-real endgame but I feel like we should have hit level 7 somewhere in Khorminos, or even level 8 if we did Winter Wolf and all the Kitsune den stuff too.

After reading in this thread and seeing the other guy I want to clarify that I am not griping about the existence of a level cap, I just feel like the storyline has moved beyond the current level cap. With the way things are going, by the time they DO introduce more levels characters will naturally reach level 7 or even 8 while still in areas balanced for level 6 gameplay.

Its like DnD, there is no fucking reason to go above tenth level in campaigns. Because the absurdity people can pull.
The reason you don't go beyond level 10 in DnD is because people are too smart for their own good and there is no real way for a DM to plan around all of the different kinds of bullshit they can come up with.

It really isn't the same in CoC because you can ONLY do things the writers have come up with.

I actually got an explanation of this from Savin and the other creators in the discord a while ago. The creators are sort of obsessed with not making a "power fantasy" for some reason. While in a DnD game emphasis on characters as normal people or part of a machine makes a better experience for everyone, in a single player game the only thing it does is make the player feel impotent and let the writers' characters look oh-so-powerful when they bail your ass out of trouble.

This brain bug that has developed amongst those in charge of CoC2 really is nonsense.

This seems to be a much more honest reason, like look at how the Gods were handled in CoC1 compared to those of CoC2.

My combat rework is basically the thing that has kept level 7 from happening, and the we wanted to let the explosive changes from this patch settle so we can take a second look over level 7's planned perks to make sure they all line up nicely and work and whatnot

I got that directly from the discord, from users with flairs indicating they were contributers to the game. Maybe I misinterpreted some sarcasm but it seemed pretty clear at the time that the authors have something against power fantasies, and the discussion was brought up directly.

I also agree that the gods are a good point. In CoC 1 the gods had all been completely defeated or forced into some form of hiding. Part of the horror of and hopelessness of facing the demon armies was that not even the gods could stop them.

Meanwhile in CoC 2 the gods are all insanely powerful superbeings who don't even try to stop the big bad because it would be too easy, or something.

Thank you for this explanation. I really appreciate the update and while it nedds a lot of ironing out for detail it has greatly improved the flow of the game.

I do have to ask though, when you removed the resolve bar why didn't you have the health bar circle all the way around the image? Is it harder than I am thinking or was leaving the asymetrical UI display an intentional choice?

They made the PC a genius and master of combat, magic and sex, giving them a Barony, a champion title, a bunch of mythical weapons and items, and giving them so much heroic renown that bards will be telling tales, singing songs, and writing epics and pornographic novels about them for centuries to come. If they are trying to NOT do a power fantasy they're failing horribly. also you should be using multi quotes instead of double or triple posting.

I apologize, I am not familiar with this type of forum. I didn't know you could do that.

Is... is 10 am really early or am I missing something? Either way you did a good job and I am really happy with how the combat feels now, it is a huge improvement. I do feel like the lust-bar has been a staple of CoC and TiTS forever and it is sad that it is gone for good, however Resolve just didn't work and CoC 2 is better off without it.

As king pointed out the champ has the ability to learn anything with ease, and there is no weapon they cannot wield. They are pretty fucking powerful in a traditional sense but not in a unstoppable sense. And I forgot they also have a ludicrous amount of magical power but zero ability to utilize it iirc.

I was wrong. Point withdrawn.
