I tried to explain, not to justify. Especially as I dislike the "baka gaijin" kitsune behaviour. Generally speaking, I tend to dislike the "x, in [setting]!" approaches.
Whilst I am more than okay with the product in question featuring "questionable" activities and characters, I do hate it when almost every single member of a given collective will cling on to them for dear life. Or "positive" ones, mind you.

I like Fantasy racism; it gives the world depth. I remember back in the day some ppl would complain about Skyrim having casual racism but that's gold because everyone in Skyrim was racist to the point where it had race fetishists. The lusty Argonian is the most memorable meme next to "You're finally awake?"
Agreed here, especially in terms of Morrowind. As for its place in fantasy in general, or CoC, it does give the world depth. No, it's not exactly 'cool' or acceptable, even in these fantasy worlds, but it's not like we're pretending it is. It just emphasises cultures in these worlds having a history with each other, and tells the reader you're not exactly 'living' in a perfect world (that you're reading). It's a good plot device, as long as you're not making RL connotations with it ofc.

1. I loved seeing so many dark-skinned/furred* characters/enemies and ran with the headcanon that they were all BIPOC.
2. I eventually started to dread seeing them and hoped the next person was always light-skinned/furred.
So, you inserted race into this game and attached it to... who, even? Given that you quit at Dog Days, the only dark-skinned or dark-furred characters in the Old Forest are Brint (who is one of the game's companion characters and who, I will note, comes from a culture which is literally "what if Rome was made up of minotaurs and cowgirls?"), the hornets, Azyrran, and one of the three members of the Wyld Elf Band. These make up the minority of characters in the old forest. And it's really weird because you seeming to hope that you would run into a "light-skinned" character seems like... well... racism.
3. Much of the writing gives off the impression that the writers were actively engaging in (casual) racism.
3a. See Gwyneth having a "dirty white undercoat" (as opposed to "off-white") and being called "Domestic", which was conveniently replaced with "Homely" on her wiki. She's basically a mammy (racist caricature of African-American women).
She's a humanoid dog. Lupines are based off of dogs and wolves. And even if I buy into your idea that fur colors tie into race (as opposed to the characters which are part of fantasy races largely being fantasy races with an extremely loose connection to the real world), looking at your source there are basically no traits whatsoever which connects Gwyneth to what's listed there. I feel like you could only possibly draw this conclusion if you just didn't engage with her at all and just made immediate assumptions using your own prejudices.
4. Even though I managed to make it just past the Dog Days quest and declined Hethia's offer (SPOILER: she turns on you, right? ), playing this game feels ick, so I'm just gonna quit. Thanks for making it. Sucks that y'all made it racist.
And here we see how obviously you've brought your assumptions into this. I'm not sure what exactly you think Hethia's offer is, since there's a few things I could see as being offers from her and you don't describe what path you took through the quest, but to put it simply, there is no path in which she turns on you without you expressly, directly, being hostile. She acts standoffish, but that's about it.
Given that you say it was an offer which you declines, I'm going to guess that what happened is that you did diplomacy and got to the point where she showed up and offered sex, and instead of going "this is a porn game and the character I resolved things peacefully with is interested in sex, of course there's going to be sex if I accept this" you jumped straight to a completely uncharitable (and utterly unwarranted) conclusion.

Since nobody bothered to answer my question here or in the General Bullshit forum, I'll leave out some of my original comment and make this quick.

Wait, so you headcanoned in real-world race equivalent and then got mad at the devs for writing what you interpret as racist when aligned with your headcanon????

Do you really not realize you literally invented this problem for yourself? Nobody made it racist, you did.

As a black person....what the absolute hell is this guy even talking about? How did they even get the mammy part? Isn't Gwyen (i probably misspelled her name, my bad) supposed to be a caretaker? And if she is, she def doesn't give mammy vibes what so ever imo. All i see is a whole bunch of nothing trying to be said. Which is sad considering that's what I do but whatever.

Is this a bad time to mention how I'm sometimes uncomfortable with the casual use of "knife-ear" even in dialogue when talking to Elves, be that NPCs or elven MC?

That racy post really threw a pungent vibe, eh?
In other news, while looking for the doc I need to edit in Notepad to give myself Horn of the Tides I realized that Drag Evelyn and Demo Ryn have the same nutsack, not a gripe just an observation.
But I would like a scene with demon Ryn tho since she has a full portrait it'd be a shame to waste it.

I think Demon Ryn is sexing in one of the Bad Ends. Not sure, only really found the wraith troll during the journey there to be anything worth raising an eyebrow over, otherwise main problem I had with that quest was mirroring all the powers before they died. Knowing Alissa had nothing I needed to mirror was such fun though, finally I'd be able to actually fight instead of just letting Daliza hack them to shred while I was doing defend and the occasional war cry to keep aggro, one application of the Daybreak power and Etheryn using her ult and all her minions were down and she was on second phase, then one Smite Evil and fight was done, it was... very anticlimactic. But given I have been called a "cheater" on this toon by Kas for handing her ass to her, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised, sigh.

No, not really. you can see the less prominent nut's bottom is even with the close testicle in Evelyn's sack, but for Ryn's, the ball behind hangs lower than the forward bollocks.

I'm really glad that the obsessive min-max part of my brain that makes me stop having fun with these games hasn't yet attached to the mirror stance.

Problem is they had some seriously good and unique (so far) powers that you can use. Searing Arc is like a fireball at the end of your sword, a [weapon] tagged black mage spell that does large fire damage to primary target, then half that to everyone around, Reaping Blade is Blight damage [weapon] Black spell that staggers the enemy and then heals you for half the damage you do with the attack, and Shielding Smite is a white mage [weapon] power that adds large fire damage, then puts a 3 round buff of +50 to Armor, Ward and Focus for the entire party, those are all really freaking good spells, especially for Spellblades, of which I have three characters that are some variation of. Currently to my knowledge these spells are only available by being mirrored off the Dragon Knight and the Forge Golem, they don't exist otherwise in the game, and they can be used just fine on level 7, unlike Dragon Breath or Double Attack which is going to be useless for likely years still.

Tell that to Japan, there is a reason the stereotypes exist...whether you like it or not.

Not sure what you expected this to be called mate. I dunno what you and the writers issue with Japanese people is but this is always the defense I hear...just more blatant then usual.

I will say though that one of my big complaints with the way races are written is how uniform they are. If there were real world analogues to these races it absolutely would be racist like for example the kitsune. Almost all of the characters are stereotypical of their race and that sucks.

There isn't anywhere near as clear a real world analogue for the other races as them though. Kinda surprised you wouldn't lead with them.
Clearly, they were so "offended" by Gwyn that they just gave up and stopped after the first couple minutes of play. That or they totally argued in bad faith.

You really spent your time openly claiming to be a racist and advocating it. Enjoy your perma
Speaking as a racist myself I have to tell you stereotyping is pretty tame as far as discrimination goes. It can even save your life.
To quote the late, great philosopher Patrice O' Neal;
"If I'm walking home at night and I see four bald headed white dudes coming toward me, I'm not gonna wonder if they're coming from chemotherapy, I'm gonna run."

Racism is the current dominant social ideology in the west at the moment. White privilege and white supremacy are the same in every practical sense. Imagine apologizing to someone because you think the color of your skin gives you inherent advantage over someone. That's cartoon villain levels of arrogance, but if you phrase it the right way.....
We're getting off track though, more to it, racism is a real thing in real life, and it shouldn't be ignored in media solely based on the fact that it makes some people uncomfortable. When you refuse to see people as individuals, and make comments like. "I hate how all of these kitsunes act the same" you are becoming the very thing you claim to hate.
I work outside, all my coworkers are Mexican or Columbian. I'm the only non Spanish speaker among them most days. Would it be racist to assume that with a job like mine, we'd get a lot of Hispanics? Yes. It would also be correct. And hilarious, I might add.

Gotta say I just want nothing to do with you at all and your "you're the real racist" shtick didn't work when the first white supremacist thought it up and it's not going to work for you now.

As validating as it is for all the racists on the board to come out and say "You're right, but it's no big deal, stereotypes exist for a reason" I'd much rather those racists just not be here.

Again, whose justifying? I'm not seeking approval or validation from anyone. Im more than comfortable with my racism, thanks. Id much rather people who see oppression and victimization in anything and everything not be here, myself. So we don't like each other. That's established. In other news, water is still in fact wet. The fact that we disagree is the point of discussion.
What I've heard so far, though, is "here is racism in the game, I don't like it." and I've said, "yeah, that's pretty racist, because real people are real racist, and it makes the world more authentic."
Tell me why a fantasy world shouldn't have fantasy racism. What is the point of different races if they aren't different.

Okay, so, I am going to close this tread for a while.

I would like everyone who has been participating recently to take a good long look at yourselves and your posting history and ask if you're A) actually contributing anything of value to the sum total of discussion around this game and B) making a good use of your limited time on this earth by flaming each other in the complaints bin of a porn game.

This forum doesn't have much, if any, moderation these days. But when I reopen this thread (or more likely, maybe a new Gripes Box), if people resume... whatever the fuck you've been doing in here for the past several days... I'm going to start issuing timeouts and bans.

Posting your issues with the game is the point on this thread. Sometimes people will have wildly bad, dumb takes. Sometimes they will have valid takes you just don't agree with. In either case, that's not an excuse to just go stirring up shit for your own amusement, and it's not a place to start talking your own weird race philosophy. For God's sake, it's a porn game, contain yourselves.
