I'm pretty sad to hear that Embry will never be finished as well as the Sacae never being created and added to the game. I don't really get the absolute abandonment either, though truthfully with how much time he spent on here I often thought his wife must be a goddess so there's that. Along with Kaizer I thought of Jim as one of the "internet strangers" I most got along with and one of my best "forum buddies". This all really has my head spinning, especially with how curt his goodbye was [sorta sounded like he was mad at us all].

A fair point towards the end but at the same time it's very hard to read tone via text and for all we know he just didn't want to get bogged down with people trying to beg him to stay, however well meaning. Maybe he was mad, maybe he was just trying to make as drama free a break as possible, we won't know.
I mean, on the plus side I can start writing the "Murderfuck Embry" and "Napalm the Vanae" xpacs now.

To be fair, the latter seems like an almost sane thing given some parts of the 'going native' Vanae Bad? End.
The whatnow?
The wiki isn't very unhelpful when it comes to being informative at what bad ends there are in game, and I've only experienced two of them.
One of the written (but never implemented(?)) bad ends (or good ends depending on how you interpreted it) is that upon losing to the Vanae enough times, you'd eventually just settle down into a Vanae village and play space breeding simulator for the rest of your life with your new, ever expanding, incestuous Vane family.
Neat.
Very much so, makes me wonder what about that bad end makes the Vanae worthy of napalm though? It's not like they've done anything particularly worse than other species.

In the PC-is-female-vanae Bad End, the vanae get tired of being pushed around and occasionally abducted, and successfully throw the colonists out of the planet (or at least out of Esbeth).
Therefore they should be preemptively nuked, at least according to Nik_van_Rijn and (presumably) Andrew Jackson. Can't have the filthy natives getting any big ideas, after all.
