I agree Mabs needs more content but I dont' really care what it is. Last time I interacted with her she had not smut scenes at all.
I think the perks could do with a rework. Each level, you only get a choice between two options, and half the time it's not a real choice because it's a choice between melee or ranged, so you just follow whichever one you're already specialising in.Personally I'd like the classes removed and perks gained from level through a differernt mean than, you are merc so you get cluster grenades or C4 bomb. Id like something like COC where you could get any perk as long as your char was strong enough or fast enough for them. Or another class like Rusher where you get acess to all the class perks when you level up but can only pick one from that lvl.

The system you describe could work, but it'd need a loooot of balancing. The system you described has a little bit of weirdness where a character can minmax and take ten perks which are completely unrelated in order to create a jack-of-all-trades super soldier aka merc
All the classes have perk tiers which are pretty mediocre, but they come at different levels, so by picking perks from different classes you can avoid the crappy ones. For example, Smuggler gets to pick between the super situational Quickdraw or Leap Up perks at level 6, but if you off-class, suddenly you have access to the consistently powerful +20% damage perks that Tech and Merc get.
Yeah, the perks may need to be reworked or changed up to be more than shoot people better or hit people really really hard.
Your right there could be a lot of min-maxing, with people probably making super soldiers or tech mercs or smuggler techies or smuggler mercs, but it would need some balancing or the player character would have to go through a lot instead of the usual level up to get the perks and or abilities.
I just came up with another idea, instead of reworking the classes why not either make subclasses or challenges to become stronger with current abilities or perks, like say you want to be a melee oriented merc so you get a subclass of barbarian or Amazon or something where you have to defeat a certain number of enemies with melee attacks only or finish them with a melee attack, Smuggler could get gunslinger, I'm unsure what techie could get but probably something that relates to weapons that burn or laser weapons of the sort.
Either way, the perks do need to be changed up, maybe rework smuggler to be less crap and a little more tactical or something I don't know, I'm just making a suggestion to better the game and feel the classes kinda trap you into a certain playstyle instead of like coc where you could work to become something strong but at the end you pretty much were just a super warrior battle mage.
That's true, you are a bit trapped in TiTS. You pick a class and either melee/ranged, and just roll with that forever. Comparatively, with CoC you could choose between physical/magic, power strikes vs double strikes, offense vs defense, lust resist, tease improvements... lots! And at any given level, you had a good number of choices to choose from.
After the experience reward scaling was added to CoC, it became harder to grind out the higher levels especially if you didn't deliberately bank exp to level up 10 times at once, so it wasn't that easy to spec into everything and there was still some specialisation. I think that's good. I want to be able to pick from a diverse series of perks, but I definitely don't want Skyrim-type "You are the master of all trades in existence, forever!" characters.

The only time I felt trapped in a character class was pre-tech buff and sometimes as a smuggler. Playing now as a shield tech or merc, I have never wished I had a power from another class.
Oh, definitely. Some kids don't show up in the Nursery, which makes it feel weird and glaringly unfinished, so even a short description would be nice.Definitely would like more Nursery interactions. I want to be with all my children.
I understand it'd be a lot of work writing scenes for every possible species you have for kids, but maybe a generic catch-all scene could work for now?
We really need something like the Memory Den in Fallout 4, so we can revisit these awesome scenes without having to go through all the bullshit. I literally have a whole save file dedicated to allowing me to revisit the Cass x Kaede scene!
Hey, I really like that idea. You're right, there are a lot of items that become obsolete but remain super cool - a trophy room would be perfect. I'm also all in favour of more nursery interactions. What we truly need to be added ASAP is a trophy room for one of the kind items on the nursery main floor. You maybe wondering why on the main floor and what will be displayed in there? Well currently we have a serious problem with storage space on our ship and even though having the deluxe backpack upgrade does alleviate some of frustation in micromanaging your space and using cured Reaha as additional storage for your least used peaces of wardrobe (the reason i rush to buy her as soon as i have the funds and to start her's addiction curing path on all my characters). Another reason being as mentioned before one of the kind items that you get as rewards for quests or as drops from quest enemies which really fast become outdated by newer gear and start to pile up in Steele's ships equpment storage effectively leaving you with no space for additional weapons AND ACCESORIES for set swaps for specific aproach bosses! I dont know who designed the storage to not have a dedicated accesory tab being it Fen, Savin or Gedan but they deserve to get a bucket of Ice cold water dunked on their head(s) for just that! The final reason being a great opportunity to add nursery snippets of kids looking with amazement on all the crazy weapons/armors and weird gizmos their mommy/daddy brought back from the wild frontier. And as bonus you can have scenes proc whenever steel will add a new item to the family collection where kids will crowd around you and ask on which adventure you have gotten the new item and ask for stories which would allow PC to answer depending on their personallity score with Hard characters bragging about their accomplishments and victories while kids listen with bated breath , Mischievous characters making jokes and trying redirect the line of conversation only to be defeated by combined puppy eye treatment of their little gremlin army and give in, as for Nice characters sitting for some story time but omiting any content not suited for audiences age range and then asking their kids how they are doing and giving each of them some of the time
like true caring mother/father they are.
I think what Trials in Tainted Space is really calling out for is climbable radio towers!

Varmant mob? ...not really bosses and it's more by consequence of not having your class stuffs, but you get the idea.Name me one boss-type creature besides Dr. Lash that requires any class to switch to a specific set of equipment.

You mean like the Lava Saber?I want to be able to fight a Not!Jedi on a Salt Planet. No, but seriously I would like a Plasma Sword type weapon.
Don't worry. Preacher's already on it.Snake transformative.
