AN: A one-shot that just wouldn't go away not to mention expressing my gratitude of helping me build the courage to start writing up again after so long. This takes both before and long after the canon timeline for Trials in Tainted Space. I hope that my writing quality has not degraded too much over the years, and that I didnt make too many grammar mistakes and the pacing is consistent. Please be gentle with any critique that you might have as I am quite delicate at heart despite being a fervent follower of the Emperor.

The Last Angel of the Blood

A Warhammer 40k/ Trials in Tainted Space One-shot

He was alone

Alone in this vast new and unfamiliar universe

But honestly, it wasnt so bad all things considered. It could have been worse, he could have been frakkin pulled like the ancient Terran confectionary called Taffy being stuck in the Warp with the minions of Tzeentch pecking their beaky business and spiraling screaming forever as his soul was trapped in the Warp at the mercy of the Dark Gods outside of the Emperor's light. He could remember it all like it was yesterda-.

Ragh!!! Blasted red rabbit eared xeno! poking at things where they don't belong!

...tinker tinker tinker....

Ahhh much better, more than better I have to admit. Now where was I, was it something to do with cheese? No Steele! Oh yeah, reminiscing on how I got stuck here...

It began 140 years ago to be exact...

It was a time of war, a time of great heros, and equal villainy and sometimes in between. This was the Time of Ending where the last remnants of my brothers of the Lamenters made a final stand against the forces of Chaos. I was there when I was set loose upon a Traitor ship, aiding Space Marines and Guardsman in escaping the vessel so that they may continue their fight as they make their journey to Holy Terra.

At the behest of my command I sealed and blocked off the passageways that lead the mortals, my brothers, and cousins into the chamber from which we boarded. The ship I was on, was too dangerous to be left alone, and one less ship against the assaut of the throneworld, one less burden the Imperium shall stand in the coming trial that will decide the continued existance of all that is good against the tide of darkness. Fortunately, the Emperor blessed me that day that would make it easier for me to do just that; The Orks thank the Throne were a great distraction.

The pandemonium of the Orks and Traitor forces was a sight to see as the Furioso Chasis was all but impenetrable to small arms fire, and it was easy to get the traitors and Orks to divert their attention from the 15 feet tall walking coffin of of mayhem with tossing a few champions here and a Nob there, even some daemon engine and a can or two to rumble my way into the ships plasma core. While I may not have the acute knowledge of technology as my Techmarine brothers, I was and still had a particular talent that all my brothers venerated me for: Blowing stuff up worthy of the Emperor, kill a traitor dreadnought, I am your brother. Demolish a Tau battlesuit, how quick to do you want me to crush it. Tear down a building filled with Dark Eldar, how throruogh do want it smashed.

Unfortunately, someone else seems to have a similar idea...

By the time I reached the reactor with the enslaved daemon of Khorne serving as its power source, a Mek Boy was tampering with and found him litteraly poking the ire of the demon, just to see if it works. It didnt help that the WAAAGH energies that surrounded the area and colliding with the Warp energy caused a cocktail of cacophony that was just asking for trouble. My initial plan was just to detonate the reactor so that the caged sun would envelop the ship and the nearby adjacent forces into blazing pyre. That plan was shot down like a Thunder Hawk without wings as the worst case scenario as this could potentially cause a tear to open in reality for all I know.

I couldn't remember exactly what happened afterwards, all I know was that I strangled and rip the daemon first, before setting my sights on the Mek Boy and everything turned bright. Instead of the screeching howls of Neverborns that I sometimes hear when we transistion into the Warp, I was instead enveloped in a golden light. I couldn't see anything, nor feel anything. Weightless. Then like some clunky snotling I recieved a rude awakening when I found myself underwater as an aquatic xeno lifeform TRIED TO EAT ME!!!

It was dead soon after so all was good...almost that is. By the Throne I was underwater after all and pretty deep too. So using my gut -what guts I had left anyway- I picked a direction and made my way over hoping that the Emperor may guide me to the nearest Imperial settlement and rejoin my brothers in the battle against Chaos.

I didnt know how long it took to reach the mainland as the chronometer in my auspex visor no longer functioned. I made my way atop the cliff and found a settlement from which I made my journey. You can imagine my surprise what I found there when I finally managed to reach it hoping to direct me to the nearest space port back into Imperial Space, oh I found humans thank the Emperor, but xenos as well!

They were mingling and happy, humans maried with xenos and had equally half breed children, humans selling or buying wares at xeno vendors, and I even saw couples that fraternized with each other. It rankled me to no end, I was at war with myself for a time wondering to clench my ire and seek their assistance, or turn the other way, and let myself rust and die on the chance of another possible settlement before the local law enforcement saw me.

However, my internal debate had to be put on hold when pirates descended upon the settlement. I watched and shamefully waited in the shadow of a hill filled, thick with foliage as they descended planetfall and made their march. Their defenders fell before the pirates superior weaponry and numbers, I saw humans defended their fellow xeno defenders, and the xenos did the same with equal fervor, I also saw the faces of the children who were held in the arms of their kin. So I made my choice, may the Inquisition damn me a heretic, but if there is one thing that I despise more than heretics and xenos; they are the treacherous. Man or xeno they are those who backstabbed their kin and lavish in their infidelity.

They must die.

"FOR THE EMPERORRR!!!"

My bellow though garbled by the fluid and the built in vox caster in my casing. My presence and point was made clear enough. The pirates at first jeered at my appearance, that was their first mistake as my strides were long and I was closing in fast. Weapons and projectiles I have never encountered pelted my frame, but my march was unhindered, only then they realized their folly.

It was a glorious feeling after what must have been days wandering these unknown lands as I grabbed the first mechanized combat walker in my claws and ripped it in two as blood and warped metal that made up the unit to function was but scrap in my grasp. As I had hoped their attention was then focused on me, the under attachment Melta-Gun on my left claw turned any vehicles that they brought with them to molten slag, while the Storm Bolter on my right turned the traitors into so much ribbons.

Hmmm spaghetti flavored nutrient paste today?

They were no match for me as they cowered before my onslaught of their pitiful rabble. I rallied, whatever I could to muster behind me, I didnt care at the time whether or not they were xenos or heretics, only that the pirates needed their well deserved oblivion and the defenseless needed a pillar of strength to wind the flames of courage within their breast, while bidding time for whatever reinforcements the locals had for peacekeepers to arrive. It was a good start that day, and while the people curios and at first suspicious of my being, they had their priorities straight as we proceeded to lay waste to their invaders.

The pirates however were fortunate that day, as my frame weakened after fighting for so long, my leg finally buckled after a shot from one of their anti-armor weapons destroyed the entirety of my left side. I blacked out and it would by the time I revived, the battle would have long been won by the local forces as I would soon learn that reinforcements from the UGC had arrived.

I would find myself waking up, surprised that I still yet live and upon the ship that belongs to the then CEO of Steele Tech Industries. With a particularly eager canine looking abhuman yelling gobbledygook in my ear...and some of the locals apparently to oversee my well fare. I could hear some in languages that I both could and could not understand, though from their eager expressions I could deduce they terms of endearment; of thanks or praise, but I needed neither as I did what the Emperor demanded of me, as his Angel of Death, as a defender of humanity, as a Space Marine.

My thoughts at that present time was to whom I give my gratitude for my continued existence aside from the Emperor and who was the commanding officer of the ship, the one who I would later come to know as Victor Steele extended his hand to me and with a facsimile that I could with my remaining claw, returned the gesture in kind. It was here that while I was lost and the future uncertain, that my place here was needed.

---Back to the Present---

Like a gathering around campfire, lit by the overhanging lights of the ships cramped hangar the gaggle and crowded mix of races that existed in this universe stood around the Ancient Furioso Dreadnought, and last of the Lamenters Chapter.

"SO FROM THERE AS WE ALL SAY IS HISTORY. THAT IS THE TALE OF HOW I CAME TO BE HERE, FORMER CAPTAIN MIKELUS OF THE LAMENTERS CHAPTER OF THE IMPERIUM, STANDS BEFORE YOU..." the dreadnought heaved a sigh as his story for the day finished and now remembered. "ARE YOU QUITE DONE YET? I SWEAR I THINK I CAN FEEL A CHAFFING DOWN THERE AND YOUR OVERSIZED EARS MIGHT END UP GETTING CLOGGED IN MY CHASSIS"

A wrench flinged over his mighty frame, after reaching its apex arc and gravity resumed its hold over the benign tool of engineering it fell with a harmless *plink* atop the sarcophagus that held the only existing Space Marine veteran of the Imperium as the poor mishandled tool is left forgotten and unnoticed, sorta."THAT WAS A GROSS MISSUSE OF YOUR SACRED TOOLS XENO ENGINSEER SHEKKA, THE MECHANICUS WOULD HAVE WORDS WITH YOU IF THEY WERE AROUND TO WITNESS YOUR MISCONDUCT."

"Well they ain't here! AND I aint part of whatever kooky techno-religion you cyborg-codger! Now do you want me to fix your internal refractor field or not?!" the red skinned raskvel Shekka stomped/hopped her way towards the visor of the dreadnought and his vision of the gathered crew was replaced with an angry and even redder face of his current engineer. "I'd like to see your fingers do a better job!"

She emphasized her point by this Dreadnought Claws which have long been upgraded and modified into a proper pair of hands complete with gigantic fingers similar to what some of the Grey Knights Dreadnought Claws use.

"IAM OLD I HAVE THE RIGHT TO BITCH AND MOAN IF YOUR WORK IS SHODDY, NOW GET BACK TO REPAIRING MY REFRACTOR FIELD, ITS STARTING TO GET ITCHY"

Shekka's only response to her growing ire was an relenting aria of 'geezer' 'fucker' 'asshole' and then some in no particular order.

The others though were processing as their excitement abated with the end of Mikelus's story while cleansing their palate watching the comedy duo unfold in their own little world.

The only kui-tan hermaphrodite of the little circle of companions/lovers was the first to speak. "Well that was more interesting than I thought!" Stretching her arms overheaad and patting her cushy round keister to get back some feeling "So you guys up for a round of drinks? Steele's payin of course" ending with a sly grin.

"Hey!" Only to be silenced when a four pairs of eyes fluttered in her view; one the perpetrator Kiro herself, the second the Ausar engineer herself Anno, the third the fox-morph Kaede, and most definitely not least was Kara. All of them and then some is and are her significant others. The result was inevitable and resistance for futile.

"Really? No fair you know..." the scion of Victor Steele, Justice pouted atop of her 'seat' which similar to a now wasted certain mad doctor that she had the displeasure of meeting sat atop her more than bountiful spheres that were swimming to have a chance at impregnating another lover's egg. Her response was an amorous mischievous assault of four pairs of lips that left her flustered and still pouting despite her very visible heat that bloomed her cheeks of their affection.

"Sorry Boss, but your just to easy sometimes" Anno stole another kiss at the end of her sentence as she made her way to open the cargo doors so that everyone and especially Mikelus to exit Steele's vessel.

Captain of the Silence Kara stretched her limbs with the grace befitting of her race's feline limber and dexterity "Well that was an interesting, while I dont entirely believe it, it still sounds possible"

A booming holler erupted in the hangar as she swiveled on her rear, towards her anthrophormophic lion crewmate Tarik "No offense my captain! His tale is more than just interesting, his tale beats with might and wisdom as loud the thunder that drums the world and it blazes my spirit by standing before such a noble warrior, nay quite possibly one of the mightiest warriors of our generation I have much to learn and I wish to take every opportunity to be in the presence this warrior's wisdom"

"WELL THATS A FIRST, NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD ACTUALLY HAVE A NALEEN ACTUALLY WANT TO LEARN FROM ME" Mikelus contemplated from the lion-snake man's request for knowledge and tutelage, thats one more heresy atop of the other list of the heresies where he has long filed away in the 'meh' section of the cabinet all the while how and what else could he teach considering he was stuck in his adamantine shell.

"Oh no! You will listen to my rant! I aint finished with you! and how come you get to call him by his species, while I still get called shit?!" the red alien bunny continued her tirade her ears flopping all over to vent.

"YOUR WORK IS LACKING THATS WHY, YOU STILL HAVENT FIXED MY REFRACTOR FIELD"

"If you just be quiet and not complain every thirty seconds I can actually get somewhere!"

"THATS JUST GOES HOW POOR YOUR DOING YOUR JOB IF YOU CANT WORK UNDER DURESS!"

"You! Youuuu!" Shekka if possible grew even more red in the face.

Justice could only giggle cutely as her bimbo lips threatened to break into a fit as she hid it behind her palm as she watches her surrogate grandpa's antics. A kiss from her left cheek brrought her attention to the smiling freighter pilot "See you there Steele, I'll help with your tab. Hey wait up!" Kaede waved to the group following Anno closely behind. A slight pinch on both two of her four reclining testes, almost caused her to blow her load in her customized Herm Harness, as she was met with the smoldering gazes of the New Texan Tank Girl now self-proclaimed Gunner Reaha and Kara, blindsiding Steele and feeling her cocks hardening as two more weights made themselves comfortable and raising the temprature of her vicinity was Emmy the jackaless in her own herm harness, and her android lover slash officer of communications Bess-13 or simply Bess.

Followed by a sudden but brief drop that vibrated through Justice's balls that almost through her into delirium. Her unfocused eyes fluttered back into visibility as she recognized Emmy holding the power cell to the hover pads that held her gigantic testicles aloft.

"Well cutie girlfriend, looks like your in abit of a pickle..." her latex covered hand tantalizingly slid her favorite cock from the beautiful equine bouquet that Steele is fully equipped with. Reaha followed it up with by enveloping Steele's head in her own prodigiously modded bossoms.

"Aint she just the most adorable slut" Reaha giggled before pulling Steele back on her testicles like a water bed and peppering her lover with kisses as both lactic individuals began to drip as the makeout intensifies between the five now horny individuals from all walks of life.

"Hey!" A shout directed the five busy herms and ladies attention from an over head catwalk before jumping down and glaring at her Kaithrit captain.

"Whoops, sorry Logan. Got carried away" Kara rubbing her head like child at her mistake as if she just spilled some milk.

Logan said nothing as she walked right up to the crowd atop the testicle bed all the while stripping down to out right nudity, taking a brief sprint before she jumped and laid claim to one of Steele's erect shafts. Justice's scream echoed through the chamber as she feels the familiar tight flesh clamp squeezing her penis, curling her toes as her natural high high-heels were jutted ramrod straight in different directions.

"I cant believe you Kara, I thought we agreed that I get first dibs with Steele since you already had her last time" She argued with her captain through gritted teeth all the while milking the udder-like nipples of her lactic cargo before lapping and sucking on one of them.

"My oh my, how bold" Bess leaned down towards her lover's other nipples enjoying her own milk reserve.

"I am sorry okay it kinda slipped okay!" the Captain of the Silence replied in dejection as her ears drooped, yet the face of dejection was betrayed by the fact her kitty cock was standing ramrod straight.

Logan popped off the nipple after having her own fill "Oh just shut up and put another bun in Steele's oven" Logan sighed before taking her Steele's face in her hands away from suckling Reaha's own breast milk. With stern features she closed in on Steele's tan skin and shining blue eyes of the parent from her mother's Leithan side boring into her own reptilian ones "Seriously what am I supposed to with you two incorrigible excuse of herm lovers, got anything to say Steele, hmmm? she prodded her lover with the question.

Her only answer was a giggle in return, before Logan began snogging her lover after weeks since she had her own time with Steele.

The two other stared at each other with challenge in their eyes as they lined up their respective cocks aiming at one of Steele's half-leithan vagina. Emmy and Kara stood each other down, their breasts pushing against each other for a vye of superiority, of the patriarchal kind.

"Wanna bet whose kid will Steele pop out next kitty cat?" Emmy flashing her teeth. Kara returned the gesture in kind "Your on coyote!"

Both herms plunged their cocks and Steele began to see stars.

The final occupant however knew that this was his cue to get out of here before his eidetic memory processed the scene any further, since after all he did sort off sees himself as her grandpa in all but blood.

"ENJOY YOURSELVES YOU CRAZY KIDS, IN THE MEANTIME I WILL SERVE AS TEMPORARY ESCORT FOR RATION PROVIDER YAMMI TO THE PURVEYOR OF ALCHOHOL AND LODGING AT LADY KALLY'S DENIZENS"

While reveling in her bimbo addled thoughts at the current orgy, she was able to wave to the armored giant "You the best hand-me downed gift ever grandpa!"

"HOW VEXING, I WENT FROM BEING A WARRIOR OF THE EMPEROR TO FURNITURE" even though filtered by the speakers, everyone could tell the he said it in jest. "COME XENO SHEKKA! LET US FIND YOU A SUITABLE BEVERAGE TO INTOXICATE YOURSELF AS YOU MORTALS SEEM TO LIKE TO POISON YOURSELVES INTO UNCONSCIOUSNESS"

"You are last person in this galaxy or any universe for that matter to help me get drunk you old fart you!" following after the towering engine of death.

"SHOWS THAT YOU STILL LACK INSIGHT XENO SHEKKA FOR I NO LONGER HAVE A BOTTOM, NOR THE ABILITY EXPEL FLATULANTS. I THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE OBVIOUS BUT CLEARLY YOUR INFERIOR XENO INTELLECT IS IN NEED OF A TOUCH UP"

That was the last straw as Shekka in pure spite just outright kicked at one of his legs, while an imagenary steamboat willie version of her knocking down and crubmbling the old coot into a scrap pile. She hopped on her one foot all the way out the hangar doors for her futility, but at the very least she vented enough.

The Furioso Dreadnought's footsteps were thunderous throughout the compound filled with purpose, as Yammi followed the ancient warrior where she waited for her company with Tarik following not far behind as he continued to regale to the cantankerous warrior of his own exploits all the while seeking knowledge to the veteran of more than five centuries of battle.

Back in the hangar and with their privacy they orgy paused as they look back to when they met Steele and her grouchy geriatric bodyguard and wondered that so much time has passed and so many things have happened.

Kara still lodged in Justice's cunny giggled at her memory when Mikelus grabbed the tank at the pirate base mission, and used the main gain with the cockpit still attached as a club all the while Steele's Fenris Drone was being upgraded.

"Yknow I wished I found him first, he would have helped quite alot with my own troubles"

Steele could only imagine what would hit have been like if her father never found and befriended the lone Space Marine.

Logan however had to set their priorities straight as she clung to Steele's udders, while Reaha sat atop her Mistress's face smothering her in her pussy. "Hey less talking more fucking here! I am thirsty, and I dont mean water"

It was another day of adventure for Justice Steele and her companions even if they went their separate ways, they were never too far from each other so long as the stars in the sky to conintue to shine.

As for for Mikelus, while his stars, one where they once hid untold horror and carnage. These new ones held the hope of a promise and a future, and should one day that he falls whether his transhuman physiology finally wither due to age or fall in combat. The pact he has made with the former Steele patriarch, as well the new and shining future matriarch (or was she a patriarch as well? To his confusion), he hopes that so long as he breathes, he will continue his service and all those that follow should they be able to revive his chapter as not just defenders of the peace in this new universe, but the eternal companion of the Steele family and all the sons, daughters and herms that will come after them.

Hence he WAS alone, but thank the Emperor and Sanguinius, he is not alone.

AN: Hope you enjoyed that, dont know if I'll be doing this again, as like everyone we have our own things, but I hope I have the spark to make another one of these. Thank You

Yeah poor Dark Eldar, no one likes them. They have been ignored for so long by GW too, even though I think they are a pretty neat race. (despite being sphess dark knife ears)
@noobsaleh Fine, I don't care anymore.
What I am interested in is why Savin picked the Tau, now that is interesting.

@Ethereal Dragon Pretty much!

@RanmaChan Speaking of that that lone Tau reading Melee for dummies, emphasizing them in a nutshell; hence why the Emperor despise them since they never fight in melee. Maybe Shadow Sun will finally learn her lesson about the need for melee after almost having her head lobbed off her xeno shoulders by Kayvaan Shrike and Korsaro Khan. I mean look at this dude!

I mean you know your not someone to be messed with, when the Orkz are actually afraid of this guy, on the off thance that he happens to be around the sector they're fighting in

That was some good quality fan-fic, and it makes me wonder: what would happen if Steele got thrown into the 40k warp. I mean he/she'd feel right at home in Slanesh's part of the warp. And I'm certain he/she wouldn't mind fucking a Bloodthirster or two.

@blaster @Byronhunter why did you guys vote for Tau? They were getting no love before, now they are close to taking the lead.
@Ormael Why'd you go for Tyranids? I thought you didn't know anything about WH40K lol.

I've been secretly PMing people with Chaos pamphlets.

Unfortunately it looks like the 'The Greater Good & You' pamphlets someone else is sending out are doing a better job.

Lol, I am glad you picked the Tyranids, but I can't help but feel bad for the Dark Eldar who still have no votes, haha.

Oh, I also updated the OP, adding in some rules. Essentially:
If you don't explain why you picked the faction you picked, your vote is invalidated! We need people to explain when they voted for who they did as it helps to keep the thread alive.

My two favorite factions laughing at the pointy eared over-compensating edge lords excuse of a race suffering from being so mean that nobody likes them. I mean theyre the ones who gave birth to that Slaneshi person and they are all waaaay overdue for a rehab.

I'll say it again just for the heck of it, you know something's wrong when the Chaos Space Marines are voted over the Dark Eldar.

Gosh, every time I see Lutherniel's work, I fall more and more in love with Bolter to Kokoro. That laughing space marine is just perfect.
Yeah, the poor Dark Eldar. They kill-fucked a Chaos God into existence and they still don't get any love back. You would think on a smexy smut forum like this you would find at least one person who likes them. I guess they are just too depraved.

Imperial Guard vs the Citadel Council

This one is an excuse to satisfy my sci-fi fantasy scenarios, as well as looking forward to what people think could potentially happen should a scenario be possible.

Those who are familiar with me, can get the picture that I am a huuuge fan of Warhammer 40k. Now now, that doesn't mean that my tastes are limited, on the contrary, I enjoy a vast myriad of entertainment that has shaped my childhood into becoming who I am today.

Iam going to assume anyone interested in reading this already knows Mass Effect and is already aware of the lore behind it throughout all three games (Andromeda doesnt count as it is meant to be an entirely different series altogether).

For the unintiated and those who are interested in this, you might be wondering, who or what is the Imperial Guard. I will tell you a brief story so that you may catch up to to speed and find out for yourself about this faction.

Iam positive that anyone who has ever heard of the Warhammer 40k titles would easily point at WH40k: Space Marine of the story of Captain Titus or Gabriel Angelo of the Blood Ravens from the Dawn of War series. These factions are just but one in the gigantic galactic spanning warmachine that is the Imperium of Mankind; while the Space Marines are the ones who creates the ripples as being demigods, genetically engineered soldiers of the Emperor, they can only cover so much ground in the face of all the enemies that assault mankind from all possible sides. The back bone, of the Imperium, or dubbed the "Hammer" of the Emperor belongs to the Imperial Guard.

For every world that are not occupied by a Space Marine Chapter as its home base and recruiting ground, every planet that falls under the Imperiums's purview are drafted into the Imperial Guard to join the fight on the frontlines. These are ordinary men and women dedicated to the ideals of abhorring the witch, xeno, and the traitors. There vast numbers of more than trillions of soldiers that when they fall, their corpses can bury entire landscapes.

What they lack in superhuman physiology, they make up for it in sheer grit, and weight of their armored battalions. Tanks that number in the hundreds or thousands of all flavors, and some the size three story houses, missile barrages that blanket the sky and artillary that never ceases, that fight in conjunction with the Mechanicus and the epic mobile walkers of the Titan Legions. The Imperial Guard is the fighting force of the Imperium where the common man has put countless worlds that were lost and restored back into the Imperium. No matter the enemy, no matter the odds, they are expected nay are demanded to never break in the face of the enemy, and that if they go down, they make sure to take ten of his enemies, with him/her.

The backdrop will be relatively straightforward; we will use the vanilla Council Races, meaning the Asari, the Salarians, the Turians, and Humanity, encountered a cosmic explosion that briefly caused a blackout to the CItadel. Fearing that this was a natural phenomenon or an attack, they send their best and brightest Spectres to investigate; Shepherd and the other Spectres arrive towards their destination, where ground zero happens to be an uncharted region of space lacking adjacent secondary relays and will take days to weeks to arrive. Their discovery however is the most puzzling event to have ever happen in the history of the Alliance and the Citadel.

For what should have been empty space prior to scouting probes and star charts that mapped the region of space, an entire solar system has appeared seemingly out of thin air with ship designs never before seen by any race and dozens of planets that should not existed now remains stationary within this region of space.

Among those planets is Cadia (Full strength). Ursakar E. Creed makes contact with the fleet of ships that just so happens to be within Imperial void territories as he begins talks with Commander Shepherd.

However this is not meant to be, as xenos were among Commander Shepherd's retinue.

Abhor the alien, the witch, and the heretic. War continues as now the Imperial Guard directs their war machines to the Citadel and the Systems Alliance. Without warning and without cause, lance batteries and macro cannons and the fearsome Nova cannons flood the void like an ocean drowning them in shells and light. The Normandy and the lucky ones managed to report back to the Citadel and warned the Council of the imminent threat of the Imperium, but also the unfortunate implications of human separatists.

While preparations were made and tensions high, the Citadel would later discover an event that while originally thought a problem that would be dealt with shortly within the the year; it would a month later, that the threat they are facing is something without mercy or remorse.

Khar'Shan; home of the Batarians, where despite the Citadel's history with the quadro-ocular race, where its people despite its practice in slavery and piracy, they are a people who have lived for centuries alongside the Citadel Races, long before the humans came into fold.

The Batarian race is on the verge of utter extinction.

Reports have come in from the Batarian people under an encrypted distress call, with a message that filled the hearts of the Alliance and the Citadel races with pity and dread. A finely dressed Batarian, one of the higher caste of his people was whimpering and sniveling like a babe running from a terror in the dark, the couldnt tell where he was hiding, only that it was a dark enclosure and the sounds of bombardment and screaming was recorded into the audio.

Though he whimpered and cried he was able to relay his message; please he said, please help us, they're killing everyone! Please somebody, Asari, Krogans, Turians, anyone! Please help us! Plea-! Whatever he wanted to say was sadly cut short, something pulled him out of his hiding place, and the camera recording him jostled and turn until the omni-camera was fixated on the sky above as the Batarian was struggling against his assailant. The camera showed showed the portent of what is to come. Ships that belonged to the Batarians burned in the void of space as the sky were filled with Imperial ships decimating Khar'Shan's defense fleet.

Then the camera changed to a horrifying sight as they realized that the screaming they heard was the Batarian in the hostile forces hand as his entire arm was ripped from its shoulder, coming face to face with something inhuman. It wore a deep rich red ceremonial like robe, but its face was a mass of lenses that covered the entire right side of the assailant's face its green optical devices rotating and extending, but the most horrifying thing was ironically not the metallic mask it wore, but the organic component visible underneath the hood of the robe; it held a cold detachment, where it was balanced between intelligence and contempt that was the norm of more than 10,000 years of Imperial dogma and hatred. The thing then spoke, as he silenced the Batarian, by ripping its tongue and a nearby servitor to take him back to the ship. The thing then brought the camera back to view him in full and said only one word

"Witness"

The camera fizzled for a brief moment, and the Batarian kneeled in front of a wide viewport that showed the now scarred homeworld of the Batarians, and the prisoner, if possible looked even worse than before, and he was forced to kneel, while a horrific metallic macabre of a device is forcing him two of his eyes open, and stimulants, that prolonged the sense of time being injected into him as everything seemed to move in slow motion, extending his agony at seeing all the things that made up his people reduced, as every thing that meant to the Batarian people are being snuffed out in continental wide pyres.

"By the Emperor, By the Omnisiah, let His Will be done"

As if in cruel parody of a priest delivering the deceased from the mortal coil, several ships fired something huge even visible from the distances of the ship that sprawled around the planet. Their effect of their payload however spoke for itself in all its cruelty.

The Batarians don't exactly have a religion, nor are they are devout with a few exceptions, but they are aware of their old tales when there was a time, that the Batarians believed in the spirit and of times when all life will be judged in the time when they will cease to be when the stars finally die, and so does the universe.

Unfortunately for the Batarians, that day was today.

The people who watched the video recoiled in fear and terror as the Batarian watches the death throe of his home. His screams echoed throughout the Council chambers as if he was present himself; his wails were long, his wails were deafening, and of course his wails were of hysteria and mania. He could see in all its damnable detail, as he slowsly see the seas of his world boiling, entire landscapes lit aflame, as the world moans in its suffering as great mountains and trees are set ablaze by the very atmosphere that kept the flora and fauna alive, and entire continents cracking and shifting even from space itself. All of this unfolding before his very eyes, and he can do nothing about it.

He died on the spot, his heart died, along with his homeworld, from the combination of its passing as well as the cruel stimulants that was designed to prolong his agony.

The camera was then shifted towards the red-robed monstrosity and ended the vidoe with one final passage

"Ave Imperator, count your days heretics, your time will come shortly. For He demands it so"

The message was then cut, the Council and the System's Alliance had work to do and fleets to gather against the oncoming this wave of their destruction.

Thus decreed The Imperium of Man's first conquest, in the Milky Way where the children who follow the principles of Mass Effect face the Hammer of the Emperor.

No Forgiveness, No Remorse, No Mercy. War was coming

Addendum: Only Shepherd and his crew as hero team, vs Ursakar E. Creed long service and the armies under his command. No Space Marines as they will practically stomp their way besides the Imperial Guard as the balance is immediately broken with their inclusion. As the Citadel have the home field advantage; meaning access to all their resources and manpower, the Imperial Guard will have the Titan Legions within their retinue as a means to balance the logistics of quality vs quantity. No calcs, No Genophage, No Chaos, I want a nice messy fight involving starships, planetary bombardments, brains exploding by means of psychic powers, and honest to Emperor boots on the ground.

Hero Units for the Imperial and Mass Effect campaign
Imperial Guards: Ursakar E. Creed

Mass Effect: Commander Shepherd basically his entire cast even Cerberus (While their agendas might align on the surface, it still doesn't stop the Imperials for being a renegade faction as well as using xeno principles of their lifestyle so even Cerberus will not be safe)

Forces being Fielded
The difficulty with numbers is the fact that sometimes there will be that certain someone who can beat the odds even with the opposition stacked against them, so I will try my best to arrange it in a meaningful way where it can be roughly (veeery roughly) balanced.

Imperial Guard will have the entirety of the Cadia system to them as their stage of operations will be limited to the system as with the presence of the mineral element zero being useless to them; this mean that Cadia will have access to the planets under their and all the planets aligned to Cadia's subsector. The force's fleet strength is after Abbadon's 12th Black Crusade of the Gothic War; With the absence of Space Marine chapters and Chaos forces Cadia is whole and restored under Imperial command. Any regiments or battle fleets present at the time before the first strike of the 13th Black Crusade, will be present and are now in the Mass Effect universe.

The Citadel Council and the System Alliance will bear the full might of all the assets available to them; Homeworld of the Turians, Asari, Salarians, and Humans will serve as the Primary command planets with Arcturus Station as being one of the primary stronghold of the Citadel. This is Pre-Reaper era, so the Citadel fleets are whole and intact. As clean as a whistle to be exact. The CItadel will of course receive aid with the other races much like the Krogan, the Hanar, the Drell, the Geth and the Quarians, there existence as a species are on the line as well. No Reapers period, nada zilch. I still feel salty even after all this time with ME3 endings. As the Mass Effect forces have the home field advantage they have all the benefits that come with them. Dont know how to include the Collector's as this was made in made without the existence of the Reapers in mind. No Reaper's enslaving the Protheans- no Collectors.

With that said, how will the Citadel Council fair against the Imperial Guard? How will one side be treated when victory is within their respective grasp and what will the future be like by the time this war is over? I eagerly await your discussions!
