If I wanted to have my champ sleep after shoving her fingers and/or her fist (one of my champs has access to the fist variation?) into her pussy, I'd rather be able to masturbate then choose to sleep rather than be forced asleep. It's weird.
Fuckin' A. Honestly, I'm usually more awake after masturbating, so conking out at 9am just because my champ's boobs needed a load off is just goofy to me. (plus, then she wakes up needing milked again, lmao)

Also, if we're griping about masturbation, can we mention how the breasts option only lets you cum when pregnant? What? I'm just baffled by that choice. A game where dicks are shishkebobbing cervixes (ow ow ow) and cumming water-towers worth of jizz, but this is where we decide to be "realistic"? :catstare: Not even a "...but you don't cum, so you do what any reasonable gal would do and diddle yourself some other way instead of wasting your time and passing out unfulfilled like a dork." This is why I want what's-his-name from the caravan to sell a breast pump...

I mean, it's pretty hard to make mass murder sexy.
That's exactly my point. There's no reason they had to bring something that dire into the mix. Everytime, I feel like I just watched the Martin Lawrence movie Black Knight but with ten to fifteen minutes of Game of Thrones/The Witcher edited into the middle.
I'd say the problem is, is how unceremoniously it is info-dumped on you. And you don't even get to have a meaningful reaction at the end, it's literally the same reply whatever you pick.
I have a standing suspicion there was going to be two different responses but they didn't want a content branch where the player thinking Gweyr was a monster altered her scenes/quest significantly so they just didn't bother.
My one big gripe with Tobs's writing is how spineless he writes the Champ; this is at it's worst specificaly when it comes to Hethia.
Generally this is why I miss the ability to leave the parleying with her to Ryn, even if it was incongruous with later lore/leads to Hethia getting all transphobic on poor Ryn. At least then I get to save face.
Honestly even after I beat her up I avoid having sex with her. The Champ just constantly monologueing about how "Hethia is not actually bad really I promise" really got old quick. And her bow return dialogue has the most baffling writing desicion I have ever seen ever.
I think if her abrasiveness went away after a while it would make her better. Character development is a big help in salvaging characters people may not like.
Since masturbation was mentioned by Savin over in the "What content would you like added" thread, I think I might as well bring up this gripe. I don't like that most of the masturbation options (with the exception of Double Cock and Big Balls, which were the two masturbation scenes not written by Tobs or SKoW, having instead been written by QuestyRobo) cause the Champ to immediately fall asleep after. If I wanted to have my champ sleep after shoving her fingers and/or her fist (one of my champs has access to the fist variation?) into her pussy, I'd rather be able to masturbate then choose to sleep rather than be forced asleep. It's weird.
Yeah what the heck's that about? Next they'll write it so we get hairy palms and go blind.

Vicious cycle, huh? Oof.

Yeah boobs are boobs. They feel good when you touch them whether or not you're pregnant, or have been.
A game where dicks are shishkebobbing cervixes (ow ow ow)
This at least I believe for those NPCs and players carrying third legs/elephant trunk cocks around. Minotaurs especially. But it probably isn't pleasant IRL.
and cumming water-towers worth of jizz, but this is where we decide to be "realistic"? :catstare:
Yeah anyone who cums that much regulary probably burns water and bodily fluids hard and fast. Porn logic do be like that sometimes.
Not even a "...but you don't cum, so you do what any reasonable gal would do and diddle yourself some other way instead of wasting your time and passing out unfulfilled like a dork." This is why I want what's-his-name from the caravan to sell a breast pump...
Svern the mouse boy? Yeah, sounds fair.

Both CoC2 and TiTs have this weird tonal inconsistency where its light-hearted smut one minute and then dark brutality the next. It gets pretty ridiculous for me at certain points honestly.

It especially bugs me because again, it's porn. If I want to go to sleep unsatisfied, I'll call up an ex-boyfriend. :ghost:The last thing a game like this needs is realism.
But it probably isn't pleasant IRL.
I know women who have passed out getting IUDs put in. It's a Very Bad Time, but in reality getting 20 gallons of cum shot into you like a firehose would be, too. It's hentai logic, it's fine. I just want the same logic applied to titties. ;)

WHY is the text formatted the way it is? Why can't dialogue happen in normal font inside quotes, rather than all italics inside quotes? The quotes are there to signal someone's speaking. You don't need italics on top of that.

Storage becoming more of an issue the further you get into the game. CoC 2 has a huge amount of unique items, and every major content drop tends to add a few more. They're even conveniently labeled with a star, so you know for sure, it's unique. If you throw it away or lose it, odds are you aren't getting it back.
On it's own, this is good, and cool that the game has so many unique weapons. They feel good to collect and to have. Even if they're never used.

Even if it's an item type the player will never use for that build in that run, it just doesn't feel good to throw away unique items.
And while there is decent enough storage to store most uniques and ways to upgrade that storage, the result is your uniques take up pretty much all of the space, leaving little room for standard items a player might want to stockpile, like transformatives, healing items, buffs, etc.

I feel a dedicated unique storage area, like, say, an artifact museum to build in the wayfort would be a decent solution for this. Then players will be able to hoard their unique items as collectibles in one area, and have an uncluttered, disorganized normal storage area back at the inn.

I honestly don't see a reason for limited storage space. It's not fun. It doesn't seem mechanically necessary.

Limited inventory management systems in RPGs are always a complete pain in the ass. No it's not realistic to have backpacks or satchels that function like hammerspace, but the alternative is just crap like this, where you end up running out of space and trying to juggle what stuff you can afford to lose later.

Honestly I fell into the very common trap of hoarding uniques for a while too. What helped me is people stating that you don't need to keep every unique in the game and decided to try that, so in adopting that mindset, I sold the stuff that was a guaranteed "no" on my mental question of "Will I ever use this on any of my PCs during that save's lifespan?" and felt a lot less guilty or obligated to keep stuff thanks to that. Of course, I still hoard the stuff I DO need, but it's not as crazy as the habit in the past.

And I'm also someone who greatly dislikes the storage problems too. I love the idea of limited pc inventory but unlimited storage. A limit doesn't hurt when it comes to your inventory of which you're actually carrying everywhere, but ofc storage is storage and a lot of shit will go into there eventually, so either it has the space, or you have to start juggling shit out to replace what was in which frankly I rather eat my hair.

Hoarding is a result of the bulk of all items worth using being unique. You get 1 of these useful items and the amount of uniques has long since outpaced available storage. There's also the fact that there's not a whole lot of generic equivalents to what you're tossing away. If the future continues and more powers get tied to uniques it's going to be a worse problem.

It's also semi reflective on the re-spec. You can change your character right now to be anything you want due to being able to respec. You can't respec back discarded uniques.

i think I've written this before but i really don't like that the salamander eye color is hardcoded to gold maybe when the gothmander soulbind is added they will change the code for salamander eyes to be able to have all of the salamander eye colors or use the lenses to change the color

the autobattling isn't really cool, my characters cast a damage buff such as bless and instead of using his available damage spell, he use a spirit veils on a companion, wasting his buff..

Some thoughts and grips afters playing this game a lot these last weeks.

Others than that this game is peak “click a small phrase and your characters say a whole load of things you never wanted him to say/things you didn't want him to do”, of course this isn't something that will be fixed as i assume it's too late into development for you.

The control of “your character” just isn't there, it's like an ultimate weakness fantasy a great example is how """"""""my””””””””" character choose to occult information on the dryad in his codex.

There is a lack of answer to others character's beliefs in discussion, the player character don't have any retort, cannot be pro submission or anti submission, materialistic or anti-materialistic, religious or anti-religious, pro simple life or anti-simple life, etcetera. In fact, it feels like my character is just a rug in dialogue. Too weak.

There is also plenty of moment my group should be talking/taking part in conversation but isn't and combined with the fact they give up fighting if you go down make them feel worse than wolves/animal, while the hostile npc stick together until the end". Also, there is a lack of bro/gal moment with the companions that would help develops their personality, they feel like sex dolls. Except in combats.

In terms of goal, your characters don't have goal other than "uh bad demon woman/man hybrid want me soul", no greatest mage, no greatest wisdom/archeology, no greatest warrior, no spreading knowledge to destabilize the power / improving peoples lives, no necromancy, no “I don't want to be the puppet of the false god” driven by various belief such as arrogance, megalomania or disillusioned with the actions of the gods. Almost just a rug with bare survival instinct.

The npc IN GENERAL feel lame and happy with theirs simple live, like if they were in denial about the past/theirs parents didn't teach them anything/what will happen to them/don't care about their children's future in a non “return to monkey” manner. It gives most npc a “hedonistic laisser faire” vibe, something bordering on “promiscuous psychopath/sociopath”, all of this is just too mainstream and lame. In particular, in a fantasy world filled with possibility. They feel like stronger rug, but rug nonetheless, like someone else stated “80% corruption to 100% corruption” except in truth, they are already at almost 100%. Besides, shouldn't they all quickly corrupt due to being almost demon in everything already?

The race and transformation are strong “when the boss fights me he is strong but when i unlock him he is almost cosmetic” “the secret characters i grinded for is weak” vibes. The enemy and all get to use theirs wings and such, but not you. Weak, defeat the purpose of a fantasy video game allowing to play as exotic non-human. Of course, this game has decided for bland homogeneity when it comes to the player characters, but maybe in a next game. The straw man is “muh minmaxer” but in the truth that not true as peoples who like minmax will minmax nonetheless and peoples who wanted exotism and role-playing / different play style based on race won't get them. In fact one can argue the game force you to minmax anyway by recommending you 3 stats every level and the others stats just get ignored and barely level, plus you can't put all of your level up point in a stats to make it rise up quickly, which not only block extremist gameplay which is not immersive but also pretend from quickly raising a low stats.

Which in all i find pretty bizarre for a game with minimal visual, set in a fantasy world and no sound effect that i have heard, the gameplay/story could be quite vast and deep. But it's not. And in ultimate truth, """"my """"characters isn't trying very much to be mine. That a very big letdown as well.

Oh, also the storage inventory is too small, why even do this? In a game that lets you change class and attributes too…

Anyway, thoses are some of my thoughts.

edit: oh when writing i forgot my gripes with race not acting like a mix of the actual animal plus peoples, and instead just bizarre, such as sheepfolk being small in stature instead of having a large variation of it. And their male being androgynous. Like why, ram are testosterone incarnate, my family worked with sheeps for a very long time, one thing you learn is don't turn your back on a ram. The marespeoples being like this is also bizarre, mares huntings peoples to breed? What? And the male becoming insane at puberty? Do they spend all of theirs short lifes - before turning into glorified machines / getting strapped to a wall - in denial and/or anticipation of it?Yes, some get turned into female, but that still grim to have this or insanity. Gloom and doom fetish, and there don't seem to be much reactions from ""my"" character.

General gripes? Yea, the tonal inconsistency and incomplete threads. Really frustrating when you realize that a character whose arc you want to see more of is basically dead because the author fell off the map 3 years ago or got into it here on the forum and burned all the bridges.

The passionate writers who contribute are both a massive strength of fenco projects and a weakness, since the game lacks true consistency even for the same characters when the writers switch up.

I also dislike that I already know where content is going by which authors are making it, can pretty normally guess where the hard lines will be on how far content will go and what limits it will stop at. Kills any sense of surprise and as a result, kills the desire to engage with some characters.

These gripes are my own though, fenco will always have done something I'd never seen before I stumbled on this website and deserves credit for that and the passion project hodgepodge that are fenco projects like Coc and CocII

In which way do you mean this, friend? Storyline writing or sex scene writing?

Characters being unfinished is my biggest gripe. The only way around that is if the writer have their characters content complete before they are added into the game.

Probably both.
Bleh is corect, I mean both - but mostly on the sex scene content and how it will interact with the story. I know that I can count on Wsan to deliver aggressive domme's that don't mind pulling the trigger on a bad-end even when they aren't a part of a core story quest. I like this because it scratches my itch for suprise and dom/sub consequences in these games, because that sort of surprise is what got me interested in the first CoC. I would be shocked into siezure if I saw an author's credit on that type of material from The Observer. Franks, for as long as he wrote for the game, Is prone to giving us Dommy futa women who are up for a good time, but not for the bad-end sort of long time. That's most of his output. Many of the other authors who write domme's appear to be understandably put off by more aggressive forms of the content and stop short of crossing certain lines. Put shortly, when you get a sense of what authors are comfortable with, you already know what will and will not likely appear in the content they work on. In a meta-sense - the authors credit can be its own spoiler.

The game's writers have very distinct styles - some with quirks more obvious than others. <- I don't mean that as a negative. The ideal would be to blend well across authors for a project like this, but some writing habits stand out.
I do not mean this as a call-out. All writing involves feedback, learning and correction and its a really hard craft to do well. Easy to learn and insanely hard to master. Everyone who winds up in the game has put in a massive amount of work in the initial write-up, edit, and more. That has to be respected.
But a writer like William for example has a habit of using 10 dollar words where a nickel's purchase would do just the same and make for a smoother read. Now pause. I like William's work and he's one of the few authors that will take content in directions I personally enjoy. This is not a callout. But when you put his writing right next to other author's within the sequence of the game, the difference in word choice stands out very starkly and the reader becomes more aware of the patchwork quilt nature of the writing.

On some levels I absolutely love this dynamic because the collaborative nature of the project is really cool to me. Outside of that meta-level, its less desirable, and I really hate being able to guess content limits by just checking the author's credit - something that is impossible to get around because work that writers are forced to do that they don't like tends to be lower in quality because they aren't into it.

Just the nature of the beast that is these projects. Amazing and frustrating all at the same time.

I have noticed that there's at least one writer who seems to favour lines that could work as good titles for smutty post rock albums, what with "undulating ripples feeding through the overwrought tactile resolution" or love juices sizzling and imbuing manhoods with slavering rutting desire.

Exactly like that. Everytime I see the phrase All good things must come to an end I think of Fenoxo, because he ended a lot of sex scenes like that in the first game.

Because that would mean having [specific TF here] is objectively the correct way to make your character, rather than just being part of your appearance.
How does this philosophy coexist with granting an attribute bonus according to the race you start with? Wouldn't it make more sense to remove that attribute bonus?

Also, will we ever get starter-race-specific quests? Kinda like how World of Warcraft gives you a little prologue that grounds your identity as a member of the race you chose in the world. If you're a worgen/werewolf, for instance, you play through this whole scenario with an werewolf infection and a small war to retake your city. Or how Dragon Age Origins gives you a prologue related to your background.

Was going to post this in "content I want" in corruption of champions 2 area, but I feel this is better suited for here. Keep in mind this topic area is completely dedicated to talking about our "gripes" with the game. So the entire point of this thread is about fair criticsms. I feel I might get abit of hate for posting this, but please to the writer, the staff, and the fans, these are simply my opinions and nothing more. I have nothing but respect to the amazing writers of this game, and admiration. So with that being said, my criticism is largely to the story.

SPOILER CONTENT READ AT YOUR DISCRETION

1-Cait
The first companion we had and the person who is supposed to be the poster girl of this game has honestly been completely dethrone by kiyoko and the Kitsune content. At this point we might as well make kiyoko the poster girl of this game, for she has more sex scenes than anyone else, and her village has the most content out of anyone else. We literally get basically four wives out of the kitsune village. And most likely more in the future. Now I am not complaining at all about this, for Kiyoko is actually my literal dream wifeu, and if you were to paint my ideal perfect wife, it's kiyoko. So I am giving this criticsm DESPITE The kitsune content being my favorite part of this game. Cait is suppose to be the poster girl of this game, yet her father scene felt completely rushed and didn't even get her own dungeon for him. Like finding her dad should of been way more flashy. Just despite her being the poster girl of this game, I really don't see her getting any character growth as she just remains this unhinged nympho who will fuck literally anything that breathes. Honestly her unhingedness just kinda makes me think of. "She belongs to the streets" meme. Maybe that's the point of her character, but I just feel there is so much more we can do with this character. She's one of the driving forces to the plot and it just feels like the other wifeus in this game are simply more interesting.

Quick question. What makes Cait the poster girl? Also what is a poster girl? I assume you're not talking about a pinup girl..
