Regarding the question: All female for me. I'm that... predictable.

Regarding gripes: How the heck can Pyro Brienne's conjured flame get disarmed? It's not a physical object, she could just conjure it again. Unless the process of doing that takes the same ammount of time as fetching your weapon off the ground.

My pyro brienne got disarmed by a selkie and the flames were tossed from her hands like a sword... it was funny to say the least.

I assume the real reason is 'because game balance' since it would be broken to have a character completely immune to Disarm.

I would like to refer to a quote from an unknown forum user who is 100% correct:

They're not actual flames, she's just holding painted rocks that she throws at people while shouting "FIREBALL".

me, thinking about how I don't let Brint anywhere near that cursed armor because I like him just the way he is and vastly prefer him to Brienne:

Same. His threesome content or the exhibitionist scenes where he bangs Arona/Tui are some of my favorite in the game. It just feels nice having a bro in the game you can double team a stacked racoon milf with. Which is a shame, since Brienne ticks a lot of boxes for me too.

I'm gonna probably get kicked in the face for pushing it even in a gripe thread, but gonna add to this that when I snooped on Hug's twitter he revealed his plans for Berry and that yes he was banned from the forums and wasn't one who left voluntarily and had no way of telling anyone that. I'm gonna forever squint at Berry's production from this point as that just confirms that it's all against his wishes and he is not okay with what's going on with him. It seems things weren't as complicated as was stated. And frankly I wish it was just stated that Hugs wasn't allowed to write for him anymore rather than this whole beating around the bush/staying silent that went on. Because for the longest time I genuinely didn't know what was going on and thus only had his twitter to go off of. I thought the dude just up and left.

Regardless of the Berry in the game not being his anymore, I'm just not gonna touch the guy after hearing this because frankly the whole thing kinda accelerated my eyestrain rn. I guess there's some comfort in seeing that he's still gonna write his own separate stuff of Berry and get art of him and give himself some closure by separating the one in the game from his idea of it, especially since Berry means a lot to him as a character, but man.

(Not to mention this is exactly the sort of thing I feared would happen with these games and the whole policy around abandonware, especially when I had expressed interest in writing for it myself years ago)
He's gone and the character was left incomplete. This then gives whoever took over (B in this case) the right to do whatever they want (within certain limits obviously as some things aren't allowed).

That is the defacto state of things, yes, because surrendering the control to the devs is the only way anything would get done. If a major contributor could at any point somehow pry their stuff out of the game and leave it would have only led to madness. And in my heart of hearts I find that I'm weak and would often take more content I like over respecting the wishes of the creator.

But at the same time I can see why this can bother people that are really attached to everything they create, especially if they only write as a hobby and thus life has even more ways to get in the way. At least both TiTS and CoC2 are very upfront about the whole arrangement.

His was kicked out and as a result his character was left incomplete. But sure, minimize it like that. >.>

His was kicked out
Publicly dunking on somebody suffering like him isn't really beneficial to anybody, but no. Hugs kicked himself out in spectacularly toxic fashion and then later got banned everywhere because he decided to start a public toxic outburst when nobody wanted to work with him anymore months later. After B! was starting BerryQuest.

Kindly stop browning your nose in issues into which you have no insight, Em.

To get this thing back on track , i think that the lantern is useless ,there are no severe debuffs to accuracy for walking around in the darkness nor any special places (some caverns / tunnels etc) that would make this item viable.

It helps to see where the paths are going and makes it easier/better.

I saw somewhere that you'll be able to wave it at Lusina to stun her if you don't have any fire attacks but that's yet to be implemented.
Oh man yeah I need to get Drake on that.
Wait...what? :p

But...why? Why stash a combat buff against an NPC from act 1 in... act 2?

In my case Lusina has been staying in the marefolk village for a looong time

Cuz I ORIGINALLY wrote a lantern you could use against Lusi back when she was written but Drake didn't wanna code an item JUST for her. I finally got a chance to recycle the item but he forgot to code the Lusina bit. XD

It's never too late to flash Lusina in a fight. And it will never not be funny. Hardened life-long bandit with a bitchin sword. Stopped completely by pretty lights mid-fight.

It is a rather crippling weakness, would be infuriating to deal with if she was a party member.

Wait thats an actual thing?
Yep. Use a fire-based ability on Lusina in combat and she loses her train of thought to the pretty lights.

It's really good for early game when Lusina is in duelist stance. If she fails the check, then moth instincts kick in and she drops the stance and loses a turn. Makes an otherwise difficult fight hilariously easy.

Just give her some sunglasses, she'll be fine. Either that, or swell her breasts up to where they're covering her eyes. Can't be light drunk if you can't see the lights.

Besides, Lusina's glorious chest would make it worth her being stunned. She can still be emotional support.

Someone who dropped the game here (from being a Patreon supporter), so maybe take what I say with a grain of salt. My biggest gripe with the game would have to be the character of Gweyr.

I loved Garth, Gareth, and Gwyneth. Gareth and Garth's relationship in particular being among my favorite interactions to see in the game. So of course I wanted to find Gareth's Mom and get answers as to everything that happened, to bring her home. And I kind of wish I didn't. Yadda yadda, but I did have genuine investment in the game's story, all other things aside, at the time. I'm a man who enjoys his porn with good plot, top tier. I would like to make no mistake in saying that I do not think Gweyr was justified in the slightest.

From the first 3 cultists you kill, I can SORT OF see why she'd do it. They were attacking River and were after the gem. Now, she SAYS they might have killed her, but it outright says 'holding her back while they pry out the gem'. She didn't know they were mind controlled. So she does it. She didn't have to, she far outmatched them and knocking them out would have been as easy as using the flat of her blade, and they were young and residents of the town she'd lived in, but she did, and I think that was grey, but fine enough, even if she pretty obviously killed them because she enjoyed it.

I saw a couple of posts saying former soldiers said they'd have done the same. But I really, really don't think they would have. They attacked her with kitchen knives, a ploughshare, and a hunting bow. She had a sword. In war, sometimes the enemy will train child soldiers to attack grown men to shake their morale, lower their guard, and generally to have more manpower. And killing them FUCKS with soldiers, no matter what anyone says. When a child soldier is handed a gun or has a bomb strapped to them, you have to kill them, or you will die. It doesn't matter if you're a grown ass man and they're a child, a bullet is a bullet no matter who fires it. But a kitchen knife being swung at you when you have a sword? Parry and use the flat of your blade for a knock out. She served drinks to those guys. She said she'd take pleasure in it. And then she killed them. The attacks that do hit you do such minimal damage that you see how little danger she was in. They were kids. She'd figured out they were mind controlled partway through. And she still went through with it because she didn't care.

When Sanders yelled at her for what she did, she didn't care. She killed a bunch of kids in front of their parents knowing it was mind control at point and called it a "Job". Thought everyone in town was a coward for being angry at her for killing their children.

Now, this alone wasn't what made me drop the game. What made me really drop it is, all you really get to do is reply "Yes" when she asks if she's a monster and basically nothing comes of it. You get a line of dialogue and the sidequest is given anyways. Initially when that all happened I closed without saving, played something else, didn't play again for a while, then uninstalled. Recently I reinstalled it (about 4 months passed in between) and played through it all again for the purpose of this mini-rant. I know the quest for bringing her home is done now, but I'm not gonna do it, and I have little intention on ever going back to the game. This turned into something longer than I intended but I did want to get this all down, I just think Gweyr's a poorly written character, and the story wanting you to forgive her is what made me drop it. If you read through this all, thanks, sorry for the wall of text mid-forum, later.

Gweyr's not really that poorly written? It seems more like your trying to put your ideals on a character who wasnt designed with them in mind. And yeah our character only really having Yes as a response as well makes sense cause at this point in the story chances are your character is a parent, only logical response would be that(especially those who have done KinuQuest). Also she was a mercenary, killing peoples kids comes part and parcel with the job.

The undermount is a bloody nightmare, I swear every three or four squares I'm being ambushed by some kinda imp/shark thingy/demon or minotaur dude that wants a blowjob (always ends in a fight). I also find Kiyoko, Arona and Brienne are slowly but surely moving to the bottom of my fav companion list.. all three suck in a fight and if I use any two of them I end up fighting near the end by myself.

She isn't a monster, not to me. The brats deserved whatever came to them, you don't sympathise with terrorists and the cult to me are. I personally wanted to say to mama wolf that she did nothing wrong, the villagers are to blame seeing as they sat on their asses and allowed their brats to become what they did. They should of been thanking her, not exiling her to the ice. Sanders did fuck all and Carmen stayed pretty in her castle.

Well the imps are very numerous there but it is annoying. Why are those three moving down? Their fighting style, Kiyo's first set works per for me me, her counter spell passive ability was fucking hilarious when I fought Tullus in the abyssal depths, he just got his ass handed back to him, same went for the Lurling.

A woman after my own heart. I do want to see the rift between Mom and daughter fixes but it is most likely a after game thing, maybe some healing at some time. I have a self insert with Gwyn, that's why and in general.
Sorry for my wording if it's hard to understand I I'm tired of the time of writing this had a hard time going to sleep.
