Why do a lot of people dislike the kitsune so much?

Okay? And I was quoting the Wikipedia page. Also if this mode of thinking is that much of a cause of values dissonance, should it have been put into something with an audience that, I assume, is predominantly made up of westerners?
That's such a weird question. Are you implying that westerners need to be constantly sheltered from experiencing a bit of values dissonance?
Just because it's something that exists irl doesn't mean it needs to exist in the game too.
Why not?

No, I'm saying that if it's something that would make the kitsune look unfavorable or annoy players ─ as it clearly has, based on a lot of these replies ─ then maybe it shouldn't have been included so that it wouldn't have negatively impacted the players' view of them. Experiencing values dissonance isn't inherently a bad thing, far from it. But if the writer isn't careful about how they go about doing it, you wind up with something that has a very divisive and polarizing effect on the audience. It doesn't help that the kitsune's particular take on this attitude isn't delved into or explored at all, and without the player really understanding anything about it aside from the fact that it's apparently a widespread attitude, it comes across as less a cultural mindset and more as a convenient excuse for their inaction. This is especially true if players don't have any prior knowledge of this particular bit of japanese culture, which the game kind of assumes they do.
Given how nothing has been and likely won't be done with this concept, in practice it feels more like the writers just took a convenient piece of japanese society and used it as an excuse for railroading. Like a "This is how i planned for them to be and you're not allowed to have any effect on anything. They don't want you to do so because culture reasons and therefore you can't do anything" kind of mindset. And in terms of practicality, an attitude where nobody tries to change anything and the player is forced to go along with it seems ill-fitting for a game which has players making choices and ostensibly affecting the world and the people around them. It's understandable that players would be frustrated when in a game where they can make different choices, there's one area and one people that railroad them.

Discussion is going to dumb places again, and it's the same old stuff. We need data, so you got a problem? Give both the name of the character and what they said wholesale in a quote. It should be that easy to prove what your problems with the Foxs are if you just spit back what they said, you can even use it to prove something.

Like did you know in the main content_KitsuneDen there is only 90 instances of the word "outsider" and only one in the content_Companion for Kiyoko that is not involved in something related to Etheryn? There is only five outsiders in the content_Dungeon and only three of them are from Kitsunes, looking around you get called an outsider at least once or twice per place minimum.

How many of you have played Morrowind? I swear in every town you get 50 N'wahs called at you minnimum, even if you are a Dunmer they don't care you aren't from Vardenfell so fuck off. You can work to get some people to like the Great Houses to like you or the Morag tong but every Dunmer rando is still throwing a N'wah at you.

Am I seriously the only person who just dips in to talk with one of the vixens every couple months? Not to derail the discussion to much but, I never really considered the Fox Den much more than another town. I forgot about Harvest Vallet's settlements quickly after them.

Pretty sure the only reason I'll stick around Khor'Mhinos is the sheer amount of content that appeals to me there.

I did find it disappointing what happened to Kinus character. It felt like when she was still in the amulet I was playing the roll of her father but then the moment she gets out it stopped feeling like that. The interactions came off as kind of awkward to no fault of the players. I also found it pointless with the while inari/hime thing like maybe she was intended to be a party member and they just decided against it for some reason

Or maybe that's exactly what being the father to a teenage girl is supposed to feel like. Like you're left wondering, 'Did I miss some part in her life where something changed?' Only in this instance... you definitely know you did.

Yeah you got a point there I just wish the more time you spent with her the better your relationship with her gets like with Inari kinu it always feels robotic like she's only spending time with you cause she's trying to be nice, while with hime it's out of obligation and feels fake.

Yeah but to be fair, you can save the game, blow em up, then reload in Morrowind. No such luck in COC2, I'm afraid.

And with your necromancy at play it may go further. Either way I said too much on this topic in other places for my own health's sake.

I was going to actually mention that, but they are the OP, so necromancy claim is invalid. Thread can be considered refreshed, this is not a necromancer. This is a cleric casting Resurrection.

Don't think too much has changed about the kitsune since last time though, the addition of Hana doesn't change much overall.

Yeah, having a kitsune character who has deliberately placed herself outside of their miserable, repressive, authoritarian hierarchy and who isn't using her disillusionment as motivation to join a cult and stab your girlfriend is nice to see.

Hell, may as well say my phantasy: helping a countryside kitsune exile create a new home for herself and her family (and probably helping expand it even more, one way or another), with rowdy tanuki gang arriving later and maybe an FGO Douman-like onmyouji appearing (who would totally not try to mess with Kiyoko, making bets and such). As for why she wouldn't settle in the tree? Gee, maybe she actually lived in a place where Kitsune aren't a uniform blob, considering most people of the Konkon Nippon aren't Kitsune.
Though my self-doubt ridden ass tells me that another Kitsune place wouldn't be allowed.

I really need to catch up with her. Been telling myself to wait for more content

Still leaves the question of another settlement.

To avoid the Necro, I am not sure why we do not just lock the threads after certain time passed.

And anyway, better to reuse this thread for all the Kitsune grievances.

Anyway, beyond obvious how there is no fuckable Kitsune guy to this day, it kind of sucks how Hanas love confession/progression is locked behind being pregnant. Same with Rindo. Same with every other Kitsune. While understand the focus on it, it kind of sucks when you get invested into a character and then you get hit with the "can you/do you want to have children" part of the procedure. Do not get me wrong, the rest of the game is also guilty of this, but it is most concentrated with the foxy succubuses.

Edit: Also, Kinu existing locking us out of fucking Nakano. let us do so if we give away Kiyoko. I am not sure how much the people that want to fuck the samurai Twink and anorexic MILF overlap, but it shouldn't be by much.

Hell, close to zero if you exclude me. For I would fuck both even Keros disallowed it. Not sure why he would; in all likely hood, he would probably find hilarious.

Also more bottoming content.

Edit: I do find it little funny how Hana seems to be into idea of being some specials guys wife. How her Rindo conversation implies that she is more into men then women, or at least more into idea of marrying the former. And them you get hit with the "no proposal ring for you, guy."

The Faceless Blade and the Ring of Fate.

I really don't get the fascination with sleeping with a guy who has wet dreams about beheading you.

You joke, but I think a boy that she can preg and also is willing to peg her is Hanas ideal partner.
Man thinking of which, Male Herm fans truly gotta be the most oppressed group in these whole games. I straight up can't think off any humanoid guys with both parts. Atleast with cboys there is that one dog guy in TiTS.

'Specially considering her first time was with 'nuki futa. And she do say that it was great.

Still kinda funny that it's us who give her opportunity in being top.

I can not lie, his bust is doing a lot of the heavy lifting. He is the most "anime-pilled" pretty boy in terms of design and personality, which by itself wakes up the "girl-ho" beast in me. What can I say -- a black haired swordsman is a tried and true cock and pussy magnet.

Beyond that, there is an appeal in fucking someone that is not immediately into you. Having to work for someone attention/adoration, especially in a game that is so willing to glaze the champ, adds a little spice to the usually goings of "I like you lets fuck (later)". Tsunderes are fun (just ask my otome fixation), and he is fucking baiting it.

Also, as a character, he is plesent. Sure, in bad end he is willing to kill us, but in other bad end (one of my favorites) he genuinely starts to care for the champion. Of course, it requires us to get genderbend and turned into a kitsune, but that is why it is a bad end. And it shows, that given enough time and champs pestering, he would be willing enough to let his guards down for the champ to pounce all over his twinkish frame. His "high and mighty attitude" is just fun to peal off and he is also just fun to tease. I enjoy what little interactions we can have with him (especially when his dear Kinu is involved), and just the way he is painted by the game is charming in both parts how pathetic he seems in his stubbornness to try boot lick his way to a higher position, yet also admirable in his desire to archive something despite the hand that he was dealt.

And, look, all I am saying if he wants to gain some sort of authority, why not marry the Baron/ness of the Marches? Become their consort/concubine or husband/wife(male) and all for the low, low price of bedding them. Why, if he is willing to work for it, I am sure both Miko and Mai would be willing to show him few tips in how to seduce a barbarian.

And, finally, he is a brat in need of some :siren::siren:correction:siren::siren:!

I was wrong anyways. There is a Male Herm in TiTs I forgot about.

Also I was wrong about there being only 1 cboy too. There is actualy 2 of them.

Because he wants authority/respect with Kitsuhon society specifically. Though given how zealous he is, if he somehow became disillusioned with that society, it's realistic that he'd redirect that desire towards the nearest authority that would be willing to have him - which could very well mean Champ, either by themself or as a vassal of Njorhaalt.

I am not that surprise. Fujoshi had ABO to get the boys preggers, so the concept of boy pus still needs time to catch on; nevertheless, I am starting to see some high quality picks and stories getting released for it now. We are getting there.

Yeah. And at same time, him gaining some sort of authoritarian foothold in the place he is currently residing would at least give him something to work with.
