buddy, i gave you an explanation as to why things are the way that they are and your response included "i refuse to acknowledge part of that reasoning".
Cute strawman. Try reading why that doesn't make sense first before you respond to me. Again, complete lack of any reading comprehension.
before i even started typing, you were given many other explanations. you started this conversation by trying to turn a hard no into a yes.
No I started this conversation by challenging an idea a writer had. It was your own hiveminded community that decided it was set in stone for one reason or another and got triggered when someone asked a simple question that really only needed an answer from the writer. "I'll save you, my queen!" you all rushed fervently to shout! Such gallant heroes to defend a fully grown adult over the internet...
it's character development in a direction that Savin does not want. a character getting stabbed could be character development.
False equivalence fallacy. A stabbing is a straight forward plot device that rarely has any middle ground or room for change. Childbirth, especially within a fantasy setting like CoC, is not. Yes, you could say "I don't like my characters getting stabbed" because obviously that would kill them / wound them in most cases. But how someone reacts to child rearing is up to the writer to mold into something he deems appropriate. Even getting stabbed within the context of these fantasy settings like CoC could be written away using potion or magic logic. I didn't accept the line of reasoning that one thing that happened to one character barred an entire concept because I would expect better from a writer that has been writing non stop for almost the last decade. One would assume that a sex writer could write the logical conclusion to sex without it breaking the characters he forged.
you mean a fantasy about something that is unrealistic in context?
Nothing about any of these games is realistic, even within the contexts of the setting given every scientific hurdle is ignored. It's not even narratively realistic. Why is a mining company on a waste planet? Why is a fox woman having sex with someone she just met? How is everyone producing all this biomass without contracting any kind of cancer?
If you want to ignore all the other pieces of context that don't make sense to do something fun, then I don't see why you can't do the same here. It sounds like an artificial wall you have erected because of something someone has said.
are you saying that Savin made a mistake, Savin then blames himself for that mistake, and as a result Savin has decided to... not make that mistake again.
The mistake was the writing, not the concept. You're struggling really hard to use mental gymnastics in order to not acknowledge that someone made a writing mistake. He's not blaming himself, he's blaming a concept and has thus barred the concept in future characters as a knee-jerk reaction. None of this even matters at this point however as Savin has already said he won't do it even with any help. Which I would have been willing to do, BTW. I've written a bit of smut in my own time
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/14317670/1/Soldier. Writing used to be my passion when I was growing up, but adulthood is realizing that writing doesn't pay as much as your English teacher from high school would make you believe.
this has been brought up many times and unfortunately involves an astronomical amount of work due to how customizable characters are.
Just use generic objects instead of being specific. Make short, medium and long hair all have the same preset for each length. Make every beard at any length look the same. Make jackets, suits, shirts and underwear all look the same for each archetype of clothing. Make horns all look the same. Basically, just use the preset icons used in the game menu and make that a template for the bust image. It would be better than what we have and from what I've seen in my previous runs + the one I'm on right now, it doesn't seem like it would take a whole lot of work.
