What content would you like added?

I also like this, but at same time no matter how much you leave it to the player, all this piling on "Ryn wants a baby and a mommy to go alongside it" that recent one of events have been doing makes it feel like Ryn really wants/wishes for player to be a certain way. I do not like that.

This is a thing? I haven't been paying especially close attention to recent Ryn content since she's not my cup of tea, but that would strike me as a bit odd for both low and high confidence Ryn.

Comments like this are I'm here. We're all sitting here having a rational discussion about subby butt stuff and I love it.

Animalistic's takes should be read with a grain of salt. Ryn only makes comments about children and the possibility of having them with the Champ if you already have a vagina, and if you don't she makes it clear that she loves you just as much.

Yep, I am misremembering things. If your champion has knocked up Elthara, you can talk to her about kids. Apparently I have stumbled on that speech when I was playing champ with vagina, because that is really only times where she really brings it up. Well, there is this comment when champ asks her about her opinion on children and this follows "She sighs heavily. "Children are... well, they're a dream for some other time." Which my memory did inflate with "Gods, champ, get a pussy already!".

That inflation probably happened since devs talk about how Ryn will (have to) have a child even if champion is not willing to do so. Which is more of meta-contextual gripe. Now I hope plans have changed since I do not like the ultimatum of "Ryn will have children one way or another". I would much prefer if we had options for adoption or something along those lines. Yeah, she is Royalty but she is also fantasy royalty. So we can nudge the story in players favor.

She needs to have children because if she doesnt her fucking bloodline will end there, and in times of sword and board that shit is important.

Only if the game thinks so. There are multiple ways to hand wave that stuff.
Besides, a large part of the playerbase plays as males, so hitting them with "BTW, Ryn will have a child with Elthara/Whoever no matter your choice" does not sound like a smart idea.

Well, good on yah for owning up to it.

Perhaps a solution that would require as little actual content as possible(other then ignoring it entirely and leaving in the hands of headcanon) would just be leaning into Ryn's not wanting a vagina as some concern over potential body transmutation side effects while there's multiple massive crisis going on in both the local and world stages. The line of succession can wait a moment when there's like 5 separate potential apocalypses brewing.

Then, if champ's genitals were only of the penile persuasion, you can say after the events of the game she got herself one for some heir making.

please end this argument lol.

No need to tag the leading man as the writers (as well as anyone who spends time in the forums) are used to Animalistic complaining about literally anything that doesn't cater to his specific tastes or enjoyment. Even if he's capable of making a decent point now and again, his constant whining over his own issues or outright mischaracterization of NPC's have made his input more similar to annoying white noise than actual feedback.

She's gonna have to have a baby, even with someone else because the game is in a medieval fantasy setting, and she's a fuckin princess. The royalty is a key facet of her entire character. She is also (potentially) in love with the champ, no matter what the bits or bobs they're working with, and Savin has gone on record time and again saying she's not swapping to a puss or adding one on. He's not going to make fundamental changes to an important character just to satisfy a particularly insecure member of the forums.

Yeah, but there is magic in this world, so you could find/create a ritual to do something like a blood adoption or the like, that way the bloodline gets preserved and people who want to adopt in oposition to the other option can be satisfied too.

My methodology is skip the middle and go straight to the top. It's just...simpler to deal with.

If I'm being honest, I would like more scenes similar to the double anal scene with Cait and Salwah. The only issue is what other character is a virgin in some capacity that would work?

Another thing that would be nice is some different dialogue from the plant effigies if the Alrunue is spared. It kinda gets tedious when they come at you saying "For Mother Alrunue!" like if you've killed her.

Honestly, and this might just be the former manager of several communities in me here, but Animalistic's complaining barely even bothers me when it's about things I don't agree with. I've seen much more frequently posting and whinier in my time, and frequently enough there is at least some merit to what they're ruffled about if you look past the more, err....passionate way they go about expressing their interests.

Like in this case right here, I am somewhat confused as to what was the 'argument' was that Moobere felt the need to show concern over, other then the fact that it perhaps belonged more in the Gripes thread then this one. The concern is valid enough, but more so then that there was like, what, one actual response to Animalistic here with seemingly zero animosity on either side? That's just a very short conversation, a discussion.

The first step in opposing someone's seeming overreactions is to avoid them yourself, I would think.

She's already said she doesn't want one, period. It's not just that it's one more variable Savin has no interest in dealing with, it's that on a fundamental level Ryn is entirely comfortable in her body and has no interest in giving herself genitals she wasn't born with. If the Champ and Ryn can't have a child together because of basic biology, then either surrogacy happens or the stork a Valkyrie brings you a baby. The writing will account for the possibility of Ryn and the Champ wanting a child if they can't have one normally, but 'Ryn growing a vagina' isn't it.

I kinda meant some different dialogue similar to hornets, like how they are on patrol and they ask for a sparring match. If you end up sparing the Alaraune, there should be some dialogue that reflects that since you are her new master.

Apparently doing something similar for the effigies that they did for the hornets is on the menu, it just hasn't happened yet.

One would think you would not evoke the tone of exasperation with me, when it is not your place. That is what your italics there amounts too, but even if you try to pull a fast one and say it's a misinterpretation, I've seen you be much more blunt about your annoyance with this subject, as well as several others.

If you want to step up to the plate and be the little community assistant for every question and what-have-you that graces this board, you have zero right to act even a smidgen annoyed when someone is inquiring about something that is astronomically, absurdly easy for them to not have stumbled upon a response that might not even come up when key words are entered into the search bar.

Even if it does annoy you, you're typing a response, you can literally just not add that bit of tone to a response to not come off as rude. Or just not respond if general if you really lack the maturity to keep yourself from adding those little tidbits, because if this is the case, then you probably should not be trying to push yourself into the role of some off-market Q&A specialist.

General advice on how to conduct one's self aside, I'm fairly certain I remember Fen themselves saying its largely a handwave because the amount of work that would have to go into the implementation of a vagina is astronomical.

A small addition(or edit, if there's any actual dialogue pertaining to this ingame now, I have little interest in Ryn so I could not tell you) to said handwave would be of little practical consequence in this hypothetical change, period.

Wow, sensitive much? The italics were to point out that this is an issue that's closed, it wasn't intended as an attack on you personally.

There is in fact dialogue in the game where Ryn makes it clear she doesn't want a vagina. And since Savin has already said it's Not Happening and the writing has other ways to account for a Champ that wants a family with Ryn, there's no need to invent a handwave for it that centers around something the writer and character have both said isn't on the table.

No. That is a very naïve stance. You can't nip a discussion in the bud just because it doesn't start with two people agreeing. Doing so would only create a very sad little echo chamber.

Differing opinions and challenge without aggression are how improvements are made. As long as people maintain cool heads, disagreements aren't something to be afraid of.

In my admittedly brief time here, I've not seen Animalistic specifically attack anyone. Being upset with the direction of the game and generally negative opinions on it are one thing, but as far as I've seen and currently recall, they've maintained a certain level of civility which has not been unanimously returned to them. Two times now I've seen people specifically target them--not just their stance and opinions--and it is uncool. Even if you disagree, no matter how hard, that's no excuse to go after the person themselves. Unless the "opinion" is something deliberately harmful like...Nazi ideology or something, it's not hurting anyone, so just keep your heads cool.

If you really, truly can't stand a certain user's behavior but they aren't breaking any rules, there's this wonderful feature on the forum that allows you to ignore users. I'd suggest making use of it.

There's sure a lot of people who show up to the "What content would you like added?" thread to tell people how wrong they are for requesting stuff.

Like, I assume the devs and writers are fully aware what they will and wont add. Surely we don't need so many people being their voice on every subject.

Seems to be the case for the gripes thread as well (sometimes), unfortunately.

All in all seems pretty dismissive of others' likes (wants) and dislikes (gripes).

I know the possibility of Brint and Brienne existing simultaneously as party members will never be a thing. But what if they were separate NPCs entirely? As in, what if in one manner or another (Space-time or magic), we reached Khor'Minos and made our choice of either Brint or Brienne, we had access to the opposite sex version of them as purely NPCs? They'd have the same sex options and interactions. But dropped some interactions that didn't make sense for unique interactions. It wouldn't need to be soon by any means, but just as a possibility.

Oh and a chance to maledom Quintillus. I feel like most party members get bi options of some variety, but all he has is a footjob.

Yessss give us all the options to specialize in summoning!
Oh queel! If that happens then I am a happy camper.
I read "oh queef" and was very confused for a solid two minutes.

I'll have to test again for science but I am pretty sure if you rim him first, he's pretty subby. I seem to remember him having the trope that once you touch his starfish, he needs more.

Italics used for emphasis began in the 16th century, the century that italics were first invented by Aldus Pius Manutius, even if he didn't intend for it to be used for emphasis. Sure, italics could have been used to indicate exasperation, but considering the vast history of their use for emphasis, it feels like far less of a stretch to just say that the use there was for emphasis. And even if it was exasperation, going off on a 3-paragraph long rant about it is a massive overreaction.

First off, source?

Second off, Fen's not Ryn's writer, nor is he the head of CoC2's development, Savin is, so unless you have some confirmation that he was told this by Savin, it would be, at most, conjecture from somebody with experience on similar projects.

Third, it is made very clear in-game that Ryn's not interested in growing a vagina, as she's not comfortable with having one over a cock, and there shouldn't really be a need for any other in-game explanation beyond what's already been said.
