I don’t know any of the CoC2 cheats
It's available from the Menu option in-game, no cheating required.
Yeah, why would I pay him to have access to something he got commissioned for? Seems weird to bring it up. Were you payed by him to promote his patreon?
No, I'm just pointing out that you don't know what you're talking about (and have a history of misinterpreting Bubbles' statements) and there are ways you could rectify that ignorance.

This has nothing to do with bathing in ignorance tho. It is exact opposite actually. I asked because I wanted concrete answer. I got it. Now I can wait for bats.
I just find it weird that you are basically promoting a preorder bonus for something that I am getting for free in the game. That is already finished and coming soon? And you are doing it for free? But I get ya. Writers need to get paid and all that. Just funny that is all.

In addition to what Alypia said:

Many people in the past have all promised that there were huge markets of untapped consumers waiting out there for the game, if only we'd do what they told us to do.
I wasn't trying to be like that. I apologize for coming across that way.

After having the situation explained, I have a much better understanding and have changed my mind about mods for COC/COC2 as it's currently planned to be made. I hadn't considered the fact that mods would mean that the modder has full access to the source code and could effectively steal the game and could potentially turn it into something very bad while keeping the same name, ultimately causing confusion and ruining the original project's integrity.

Again, I apologize. I didn't understand, but now I do.

As a spooky part for b and c: There are 2 more dressed up persons and it turns out that these are actual Namahage.

As for the naughty part, let the writers do, what they do best.
I really like your idea as a whole, but this part stood out to me, since it reminded me about the fact that we have been teased with the idea of actual oni races existing out there plenty of times as they got mentioned in passing, but we don't haven't seen any in-game yet. And from how much the fellow nerds on these forums seem to thirst after kas, a pair of colorful, horni and toll ladies can be a smash hit.

Alternatively, getting some strapping big lads to mingle at the den would be neat too, for those who are into that kind of thing.

Yeah, why would I pay him to have access to something he got commissioned for? Seems weird to bring it up.
Cause it is a nice gesture of appreciation and a way to spend a chunk of one's personal smut budget on directly giving money to a someone who writes smut you like? Same logic as giving money to either part of FenCo despite technically being able to enjoy TiTS and/or CoC2 for free.

I wasn't trying to be like that. I apologize for coming across that way.

FWIW, The Observer was being extra cranky (or his normal cranky, hard to tell) and SIMPLY repeated his previous spiel on the subject HE SEEMS TO FEEL STRONGLY ABOUT, not necessarily directing it at you. I don't think anyone here interpreted your questions as anything other than you not being aware of the beef the devs have with modding and not lurking more in advance.

P.S.

I really like your avatar. The style seems vaguely familiar, but i can't put my finger on it, past the obvious part of it being Zelda. Would you kindly share the artist's name?

Ey dude, I get how money transaction on patreon goes. I like the stuff, someone else supports it. I kid I kid.
I just find it weird that something that is coming in the game for free in short while (what he was paid for by developers mind you) is something that should convince me to support him. Without seeing the product first. That looks like a preordeing the game without any bonus or pre-promotion. And preorder is already a scam anyway.
But at the end of the day, as you said, it all comes down if I think that he deserves our money. And considering what he has released, from my standpoint, most of it does not appeal to me.
Still, bats! I am mostly excited for bats since I into them as a concept. Hope thatt they turn out good.

It's all good! Questions on a similar theme have been discussed before, so grognards can be a little tetchy about them, but fresh faces like you wouldn't really know about them. :)

Honestly, in games that don't have open subs, I think mods are usually pretty great, so it's not unreasonable to bring them up or anything!

There was a oni in Coc 1. Her name was Izumi and she was a side character and mini boss. Iirc she was the only oni in the game. But none CoC 2.

The pre-promotion is whatever content the person has already written, so that you have a good idea whether what they write appeals to you. The bonus is getting to see that stuff before it gets into the games and sometimes getting a measure of input, or seeing writing that isn't meant for the games and isn't released publicly but is still really neat, or high-resolution versions of the images in the game, or whatever else they want to do for supporters. Your analogy fails.

That is like buying every game studio has made only because they have their name attached to them. For example, games have stuff like trailers, prepromotion material and in game lets plays that show you what you can expect. Which is far more than what you did or what was posted inside of the forums. Since game publishers usually make sure that what is getting released is getting as much publicity as possible on many different platforms. Which is something that bats currently do not posses since most of their claim to fame comes for discord. Which Is why I asked for any information about the bats since I personally do not use that site/app to much.

Saying that I should support author based on his past workd is something that I can see the logic of, but is baking on presumption that author past works are worth anything for me and that they are continually going to release stuff that I enjoy. Which is not something I think the writer of our current predicament is capable of.

I feel like you and I put different values in what it takes for either of us to support a product. I am more on a side to support something only if I have enough insurance that I am going to enjoy it.

Do you want to read the bats content before it gets added to the game?

If yes, then support bubs on patreon even for a single month and get access to their doc.
If no, then don't.

It really is as simple as that

I just felt the need to contextualize why I, the potential consumer in question, have no incentive to support the author you speak off... hahaha, yeah to pompous off me. Trur true. Glad that he was able to finish them after getting ass blasted by work.

Ehhh...I'm not really certain how big is the backlog for the code pile.
It could come as soon as in a couple of weeks, it could come in months.

Let me be happy. I want bat women.

Sadly I'm unsure of who the artist is. I simply found it while searching for Zelda pics and liked it. I do see a mark in the lower-right hand side of the original image though. Didi? Pidi? Does that give you any clues?

It might be a bit for bat people, chances are there gonna focus on getting kor related content through the pipeline first. If only cause its mostly inaccessible squares right now.

The writing is done (supporters can read the doc right now) but the remaining steps have to be gone through, so it's probably going to be later rather than sooner, especially if there's a long coding backlog.

@Burnerbro

Didi Esmeralda is who you're looking for. I recognize the name from some other art I've seen by them.

On the earlier talk of a holiday event involving the Kitsunes, would an event based on an Japanese Holiday rather than Halloween, a western European origin holiday, make more sense?

How about a dungeon-like encounter challenge involving a Wild Hunt encounter? Maybe have it time based around midnight, only having a random chance to appear between 23:00 and 1:00 at a crossroads tile in the Old Forest ( a tile with 3 or more directions). Possibly only after Winter City is freed.
It could be a spectral procession of Old Wyld followers; fey-like beings, spectral knights or hunters on white steeds with ghost hounds.

PC could hear hoofbeats approaching the crossroads and have a chance to run (avoid the encounter until next time). Otherwise, they could remain in the crossroads or try to hide, which results in them being spotted or sniffed out by the hounds and forced to flee, but the path from the crossroads leads into a chase scene (the woods have become connected to a fey-like instance). The PC has to outrun the hunt (which gives them a head start), traveling along one of many routes (there should be a few branches, but the connecting paths aren't visible until the PC enters an adjacent tile.

There can be challenges along the way, pushing through hedges or thorns, that might inflict Resolve or Health damage with a chance of tangling and costing them time. Chances to allow a character to squeeze through a low opening or a narrow set of trees or rocks, with a check on height or thickness indicating either outright failure (or blanked out option), a chance to get wedged and lose time, or a shortcut or increased time (or 'victory points', which can be calculated at the end to determine outcome).

They can also have areas to use Inventory items, rig Naptha, or Wyvern Venom traps, use Camping Supplies to create snares, which will slow pursuers and add victory points. Probably have to have a section in the beginning that explains why winged PCs can't just fly away; maybe the tree branches fold in overhead or they become visible and hails of hunting arrows almost knock them from the sky.

Possibly a small chapel along one path with a small cemetery and ringed with cold iron fencing, tended by a lonely priest or hermit that can offer advice (costing time) but also allowing a possible escape through a set of dark catacombs that runs under the small shrine and exits further along, in case the hunt is too close or encircling the holy ground).

A few encounters with scouting or harrying ghost hounds or the occasional hunter or party that ambushes them in certain squares, as well as possible fights with more detailed named individuals. If they reach the end and evade the hunt, they receive a reward of some kind. If they fail, since it's a dungeon event, probably Bad End., but not necessarily, if they have enough 'victory points'.

Or maybe this could expand on Old Wyld lore. Maybe the hunt offers the PC benefits for bringing them other prey, possibly setting them up against the Kitsune Den (the Old Wyld might be content to fade gracefully, but that doesn't mean their supporters are as willing). Maybe eventually you lure Martial Provost Nakano out with his 6 soldiers (maybe some constructs from Kazuo) and have to decide whether to assist him or let him get taken (possibly to escape later, scarred and twisted by the fey-realm and looking for revenge).

Since it might be hard to stumble on the event randomly, possibly Hethia, if available in Winter City, might have a chance to mention it if approached between 23:00 and 1:00 in the palace, mentioning that this time of night reminds her of Old Wyld stories about ghostly hunters haunting the Old Forest crossroads.

I think there might be no intention for this particular type of TF, in THIS game. Some stuff is probably being kept for a possible next game.

I'm fairly certain that those are intentional hooks left for the content that is already planned for her later down the line.
