It's one of those conceits; while you might be playing a roleplaying game, you are not the player, you are playing as Champion/Steele/Chaption2electricboogalo. The champion will steadfastly guard the portal, even though it's unnecessary. Steele is driven to seek out the probes even though many players likely aren't. Champion2 is all about clotheslining Kas to save everyone's souls. They are bisexual, even if you the player might seek out other things etc.

(now that said in my experience any given PC is going to be all dicksdicksdicks, but I think that's more just "whoa look at their huge DICK hanging out W H O A drool")

Wouldn't it be better to write those parts as neutral ("you see a dude with a huge dick") and then allow the player to proceed according to their own will? Or even directly ask the player "you see a big-breasted lady, how do you feel about that?" with the possibility to say "that's not in my type, kthxbai"... ?

I also have issues when I do straight homo/hetero runs and my PC randomly start getting hot at the sight of someone of the wrong sex. I never experienced something more immersion-breaking than my own PC acting out of character. And due to the text-based nature of those games immersion is, I think, surprisingly important.

Again, I think those games are mostly about the player expressing their sexuality and prefferences and nothing breaks the mood more than forcing the player down a path he doesn't want to go. I mean, I don't think it would be that much of an issue to avoid those things. Yes, many people don't give a damn but a lot of us do and this doesn't seem like an issue that would require excessive workarounds to fix, just some writing discipline.

Again, you are playing a character but it is not something entirely drawn up from you, you are not directly writing for and roleplaying the character. Shepard in Mass Effect is a commander who likes humanity and whatever else bioware actually sticks with despite your dialog choices, etc.

If writing went about just never assuming your tastes until you clicked the "yea let's flirt/bang" button then it would be extremely wooden and stilted, especially for a porn game. If you had the ask the player every time then it would introduce an extra amount of sheer volume of things to write (IE, a "hell yea" or a "no way" path for everything) and also break up the flow of the narrative quite a bit.

So, yes. A conceit of the game is that you're playing a bisexual person. You may choose to not actually go after those scenes and venues as a player, that's on you.

As far as new content goes in general I'd just like to see equally skimpy armor sets across both male and female characters (technically herms as well) like the Lusty Maiden's Armor where it gives you different sex scenes for various encounters.

Felt a bit sad after getting that armor when I realized male characters don't really have a good equivalent of it.

Alternately, you could add an option to pick the character's sexuality and offer limited ability to modify it in game (player-driven choices or an occasional mind-altering particularly evil demon) so sometimes a flag ("is gay") would just avoid certain encounters that aren't critical to story progression. There wouldn't have to be a "do you want to bang?" button every time any more than there would be a "let's start a relationship" button after Shepard has clinched his/her romantic interest. I cannot imagine that would be any more stilted than a completely unwanted sex scene that basically says, "This game is not for you because we don't really care to represent gay people." Not that that's a bad thing, particularly, as authors and designers are perfectly well able to write their own stores with the content they like, however niche it may be, but that is what it is.

Counterpoint: I'd have to add sexuality checks to goddamn everything. Use your eyes and your mouse to enforce sexuality, not game mechanics.

Is there not some sort of option or way to automatically check the gender of an encounter / character and have options be disabled based on pre-set preferences, or would it have to all be done manually per character?

I'd still have to set the sexuality of each scene, and they're often muddy. Then I'd get people complaining that they couldn't proc X one-time scene because their sexuality was set a certain way. No matter what avenue we take, people will complain. I feel like as a player it's pretty easy to avoid any kinks you don't like, so I don't really see the issue. If even being faced with the possibility of a certain scenario offends you, then I'm sorry but your fragile needs won't be catered to. This is a deviant sex game after all.

No need to get snippy at me, I was just genuinely curious.

As far as that sort of thing goes I could care less about it being locked or not, I myself am perfectly fine with avoiding any scenes I don't want to see manually so long as I have the option to avoid them in the first place.

I didn't intend to be snippy. I think it's objectively fact that if a button being enabled and clearly marked leads to a scenario you don't like, and you click it, then it's on the player what enfolds. I am a firm believer in non-subtle context clues as to what each option will do, but that also requires reading the context clues. The amount of people who complain about blowing up Myrellion after it's very clearly stated in the text what will happen shows that often people complain about options they don't like simply because they don't read, in a text-based game. If you are playing these games and don't want to read and want all the smut that procs to only meet your specific needs, then too bad.

Something I thought up a while ago, but I think it'd also be pretty neat - though not really necessary - if there was something like a "Body Silhouette" when creating characters or in the appearance menu that'd show the general proportions of your character.

Nothing really detailed like height and your individual limbs and such, but more like general body shape such as an a lightly muscled and thin silhouette to show off an athletic build or a thicker and curvier silhouette to show off fatter / plumper builds.

Something to give players a bit more visual aid in imagining how their characters look in-game.

Always a good time when more futa is involved. Bonus points if they have a snatch instead of a sack. Ditto for anal. Even more bonus points if toys are involved - especially a double-dong which is very rare with dickgirls!

But something I've come to really respect is reciprocation. IMO whatever the PC does to an NPC, the NPC should be able to do back to the PC, within reason, even as a different variant. Mostly this stems from seeing a lot of NPCs in TITS where the player can do something to the NPC, but can't have those things done back to them by the same NPC(e.g. player can ass-fuck Anno but Anno will never touch PC's ass). SOMETIMES A DICKGIRL PC JUST WANTS A STRAP-ON IN THE ASS, DAMNIT!

It'd be cool to have art to go along with the sex scenes, maybe even make the image customizable so people can put in their own art of their characters, instead of a nude image of the foe they defeated or lost to.

Here's an idea: If you are a medium sized humanoid or larger with a penis, what if you could equip a PERSON? Like, you're a large-dicked herm human and you just beat a goblin chick and instead of just fuckin her and leaving her you actually strap her to your chest with your dick inside her and start walking around? And if you have a massive like 8 foot or taller character you could equip a human or something.

Let's say the requirements are having some sort of bondage gear in your inventory (handcuffs say) and you defeat a goblin. You wrap her arms around your abdomen or neck and cuff them like she's some kinda belt then stick your dick in and go on your merry way but instead of it just being one scene she's considered an equipped accessory. Maybe it functions by raising lust over time or maybe even reducing it because your character has an outlet. Maybe it's a one time use per battle lust reducer because you creampie that goblin.

Also maybe accessories should be included in the character description page, but only if they're flashier than a shiny ring on your finger.

Same could go for a tauric character, but more easily because they just hang under your big taur body.

Will the PC be able to have tentacles with which to engage in relations with NPCs?
I imagine it's the same as other non-standard body parts: the scenes would need to be included for every scenario you'd like to see that sort of shenanigans go down. You might consider starting with a scene that triggers for a small set of encounters, and hope that writers add more... or commission new scenes, I suppose.

Love the idea, though!

Yeah, it'd be like wings or a tail. Some scenes could use it, but it also wouldn't really interfere with anything else in a scene

Here's another one. Lactation. Can there be scenes where basically as many tits you have, that many NPCs/followers you feed?
