What abandoned projects were you hoping would get finished?

A litle tear in my eye every time I remember the projet for a New texas like planet but more with an ancien greek cultur, with a ton of content for bovina and stuff. The projet was so massive you could spend half a day reading every GDoc. I really don't know what happened to this project but it was one of the most anticipated stuff for me in this game. I don't think someone get a copy of the massive Gdoc but the main NPC was one of my best Waifu ever. :negativeman:

Yeah pretty much, with differents cities and a disease whose spread around the planet and transform other into feral beast. You had a quest to find a cure in order to save this world. The main NPC was a Cow Priest for a fertility godess. Like I said you could have spend a day (or half) just to read the doc. I really don't remember why they just wiped the project.

Probably because they tried to write a planet... and couldn't. Like everyone else who blathers about them wanting to write a planet. Don't write a planet: you can't do it.

Ah they're talking about QB and Lukadoc's Miteria Monastery. Those two actually came along pretty far in terms of writing an entire planet but they'd started writing that project before TiTS had actually been released if I recall correctly. It had started as a CoC project that they'd then tried reskining as scifi when TiTS was announced.

That wasn't actually QB/LD. Surprising, I know, but there was another attempt at a dynamic duo that worked out much less successfully.

Damn; so all that work for nothing? :(

Are those two still writing, and stuff?

Unfortunately, I don't think so. Not on anything we know about, anyway.

I've been away from this forum for weeks because of some business. I expect many of us are also leaving for various reasons, and often not come again just because of laziness or oblivion....

I think quitting sites like these is a natural process of growing up a bit, not being so horny all the time, and not having the time anymore. The REAL sadsacks are the guys still writing this junk four years later.

It's not even just porn writers, game modders also tend to go through this sort of thing where they lay down a bunch of plans enough to have a foundation (maybe even get a few things done), then just move on with their life because it no longer matters to them regardless of how much the players loved it.

That, and people burn out. At some point, you must find it difficult to do another project, even if you don't wish to LANCB*.

I find it admirable that there are those kinds of people who are listed here did try their hand at making more content for the game. But also very saddening that most of the time the authors either give up on it and go poof or is just another case of they bit off FAR more than they could chew.
