Some spoilers for the new content and the convocation of mirrors.
I feel no inclination in building temples to the seven after the convocation of mirrors they warned/threatened me not to tell anybody but said nothing about not helping them or their clergy as much as I hate to disappoint Cait.

Same here.

Being wraith, do "gods" still need to eat? Can't remember reading anything about it. If they do, i would consider gods no better than wraith really.

Wonder if at some point we will be able to kill/de-god them.

Unlikely. There is no reason to since the benefits of their existence outweigh the risks. Not to mention that at the very least Keros is the one who oversees and maintains the Kitsune's communal soul. Killing him without finding a suitable replacement for him (if that even exists) would be little better than genocide.

Chances are the other six also changed or affected the world in ways that depend on their continued existence. They'd be stupid not to.

That would make them villains using the world as a hostage, and become more of a reason to take them down.

So being told that the world will go to boom or rot away if a god dies would make you more willing to kill one? Have you tried the God of War series? Because that one pretty much has that as a storyline and it sucks for everyone involved. (And the shitheel protagonist still survives all the death he caused. That just proves that karma doesn't exist in his world.)

Not everything has ontological inertia: Some things just need to have their creators around in order to continue existing. That doesn't even need to be anything supernatural: Pretty much everything humans have ever built would eventually crumble away if we weren't there to maintain it. Computer programs stop working when the hardware they run on ceases to exist.

You're assuming malice where none is required.

But these things aren't the creators of the world, it managed to exist fine when the originally worshipped Gods weren't around and would no doubt have the potential to continue existing without the disguised Wraiths. If they DID happen to attempt setting up a dead man's switch to destroy the world then logically part of taking them down would be undoing such changes they made to the a system that was able to exist fine without them

From all interaction I had with them, they were always polite, pleseant to talk to and always kept there promise. Now sure, you could say that they are not giving us the full picture or that they are just using us. But there is nothing in the game that suggest that they were anything but peoples image of the gods. They fulfilled there duties and there followers do not question them in mass. Now sure, you may say that they are fulling them. Which they are. But I see no harm in it. Especially since they proved that they are able to there godly tasks.

That's why I was talking about the Kitsune: They didn't exist until Keros made them. Chances are the other six also created new stuff. Did you forget what we were talking about?

Did Keros make them... or was it Keros that made them?
The most obvious fix for the Kitsune race would be to find a method to change the nature of things so they contain their soul inside their own bodies like everyone instead of relying on the connection to a nebulous oversoul mass that anyone could potentially manipulate and forces them to drain life from other creatures like monstrous furry sex vampires.

I just want to point out that we do not really know what the abominations *are*.

Reading the last talks gave me an idea: Maybe the "true" divinity was broken somehow and the abominations are basically divine remnants. The 7 did not become the gods, but they are remnants that remembered through eating the souls.

I don't really think that is how it goes, but we know so little that it is an actual possibility.
We do not really know that much about the metaphysical nature of the world.

The Keros we meet didn't create the Kitsune since they were around before the godswar since the Belhar empire tried to overtake their country and would have succeeded had the godswar not come, if they were then Kitsune would be little more than Wraith Spawn the question even remains if the real Seven are even out there and what do you think would happen if they did come back./SPOILER]

When you bring Kiyoko along on the ship she tells you the gods particularly snake milf are actively sabotaging technological progress and findings of the races of the world to keep them ignorant and in the Dark age the world is now in and they themselves feed on emotions and faith the mortals give

Interesting. And problematic, unless they have a really good reason why that would be better. But I am not sure how reliable that information is. Why would she know that?

It also shows me how much behind I am when it coems to content.. ^^'

Kiyoko says they have the same ship on display in the Kitsune capitol and the rest they gave to Nareva.

This is NOT what she said. Here is the exact quote:

"Maybe it is better that they were lost."

Gweyr narrows her eyes. "How's that?"

"There are things that should not be known, either for us before we have the wisdom to handle them, or those that should not be known outright. Many of the relics salvaged that were found not to be in the interests of the Cherry Blossom Throne were given to the servants of Orochigami-sama and made to disappear."

"O-what?"

"You call her Nareva in this part of the world."

Nowhere did she say that the gods are doing that; the government of not-Japan decided that some parts of the salvaged technology were not in the interests or needs of their nation and people, and elected to dispose of them by making donations to the deity whose portfolio is secrets.

Such a thing has historical precedent and arguments that have some merit.
Still, it means that this is not a very informative quote for the understanding of the nature of gods.#

It also shows me that I really need to stick to a char idea and actually go to the end content.
I keep postponing everything after the act one finale, mostly because I fear that my setup is too bad. (And I don like lowering the difficulty down from normal)

I doubt the Champion themselves will ever know that looking at world from their perspective and we are armed with meta knowledge.

If you're using space for shrines, then that's less space for trebuchets. Gods are nothing in the eyes of sexy siege weapons. Reject religion, embrace trebuchet.

As much as I simp for Nareva, I still don't trust the Seven. Knowing what they are answers a few questions and raises more. Why do they want soul? If they take soul, do we become pseudo wraiths or wraith touched like that chimera? Are they getting stronger from worship as a different way to feed? I don't think they're evil. But given what their original nature was, and may still be, and how strictly they stick to their roles no matter what, It's hard to trust them in the long run. They'll keep the world safe, judging from how Mallach talks about the danger of opening portals, but will they actually encourage progress and development for the people if it may risk their existence in some way? We have too many unknowns with them. But full disclosure, I say all this while I'm seriously considering going gothmander and holding out hope Nareva can knock me up. For science of course.

What Meta-Knowledge?
Nearly all we know comes from talks between the gods and the champion. It may be because I am not really up to date and have missed some posts, but I do not know more than a champion that did the content.

I do not think my RL knowledge of theology or history is usable here.

When I first read the convocation, I was shocked, but the longer I think about it, the unclearer the picture actually is.
Don't get me wrong, I do not think the writer should divulge all informations, meta-physic should be shrouded in mystery.
I will still wonder how it works. :D

Still, any champion I know will follow the seven, at least until corruption or the convocation *plant* some doubt. Unsure how they would react, since I can't roleplay such an aspect well enough.

As I never tire of pointing out, we have evidence this is not the case.
Atheldred and Synneva are metaphysically indistinguishable even though the former gave her soul to Lumia and the latter did not.
Wonder if at some point we will be able to kill/de-god them.
Word of God says lolnope. Start here and go to The Observer's reply.

I was referring to the fact we can to talk to the creators themselves and have wikis and the forums to discuss information sorry if I was unclear and your right not everything should be spoiled and should be kept a secret or really well hidden I love digging for secrets.

Which begs the question what is a soul in the world of Coc2 what good does it do if people become stronger by giving it up seems more like an anchor that holds you back.

this got really off topic imma stop now before Tobs wrecks me further.

So what I'm getting is that souls suck and we should let soul suckers commit the soul succ so we no longer suck. That sucks.

I mean,
The soul is what gives you your ability to empathize, your compassion and moral compass.
if you don't consider any of these important, then sure.

You're getting nothing because you're being an idiot about the whole fucking thing. This isn't a black and white issue, nor should it be, and if you don't care for the subtleties of the situation and how they factor into the premise of the game, then this isn't a place for you.

Confession time: I seriously for the life of me can't decide on what kind of PC to make - not as in class and build, but rather what TFs to have on them.
For instance, I want a bunyip warrior but naga/taur is forbidden, so I made up some mutated biped bunyip with lupine legs & salamander tail (because no fluffy lizard tail (I dunno what to think of Leothran tail as a potential)) - but then Charmer, Black/White Mage and Thief come into play, and I have zero idea what I want those to be; Wyld Elf is obvious for the mages but then they're permalocked with their Wild Marks, almost none of which currently that I would want to keep; and being a simple and feeble hooman is boring as a Charmer, but a Taeleer sporting a massive horsecock (thanks, Laquines from TiTS) is too generic.
Indecision shall forever be my bane when it comes to character creation...

So, for my sin...

Besides Arona (since its required to recruit her), I haven't had sex with any of my followers. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've avoided a large majority of sex scenes so far.

I'm playing a total slut in TiTs who will hook up with everyone. I just want to play a character who's a little more reserved alright?
