Blushing furiously Fiona reached for the pistol and kept it trained on the creature in case Warden's stomp hadn't been enough. "T-Thanks for the help" she panted, not letting her eyes stray off the creature for a second.

“Don’t mention it. Damn good shot, by the way.”

Warden picked up the spider-squid by its tentacles and shook it a little. “Now all that should be left is to dispose of these things and report back to the Captain. Job well done, I say!”

Depositing the things in the airlock and jettisoning them into space, the two were quite pleased with themselves, at least once Fiona got a new shirt.
Back at the front of the ship, they were about to open the door to the bridge... until Warden noticed the green slime smeared on the handle.

"Darn. I was hoping it would actually be that easy..."

He wiped the slime off with his sleeve before grasping the handle, then looked to Fiona. "Not sure what to expect on the other side, but I'm ready when you are."

The door opened, and the two where met by a wall of slimy tentacles. The heaving mass of the creature's body filled half the bridge of the ship; an amorphous blob covered in long ropey limbs. At the center of the body, a large yellow eye swiveled to look at them, before narrowing. Dozens of tentacles whirled towards them, as the thing lurched forward.

Fiona instinctively jumped back as the mass lunged before taking a shot at the thing's eye. "How the hell did we miss this thing?!" she practically shouted in shock.

Warden slammed the door shut and braced it with his body.

"I don't know, but I think we need a new plan! You don't happen to have another one of those, do you?" He nodded toward her pistol. "A bigger one?"

The shot hit the creature in the eye, and it let out a piercing shriek. Unfortunately, the time it took Fiona to line up the shot was all the time the beast needed to wrap several tentacles around her. They slithered all over her, wrapping around her arms, and tearing her clothes off, leaving her in nothing but her bra and panties.
Fortunately, Warden slammed the door on the offending limbs, and they quickly let go, writhing in pain. Heavy thumps began issuing from the steel door, as the star beast began slamming its mass against it. It was clear from the buckling metal that the door was not going to hold.

A slight shiver ran through Fiona at her sudden exposure as she blushed bright red. "Nothing bigger up y sleeves clearly" she said with a wry expression before looking at the pistol. "Maybe I can change it's output somehow..." she muttered to herself in thought.

Fiona had hit the creature in the eye, and it had barely flinched. Even if she could up the power of her gun in some way, it likely wouldn't be enough to put the thing down. And with the door steadily giving way, she didn't exactly have the time needed to do an overhaul in the first place.

"We might have to run..." Fiona suggested, abandoning her idea "Maybe we can find an armory or escapes pods if we're lucky" she said, trying to recall the map from earlier

Warden nodded, then flinched as the metal buckled right next to his head. "Yep, time's up. You get a head start on running - I'll try and draw it away."

He pointed down the corridor. "You go that way, I'll go the other way; hopefully one of us finds a solution before we run out of spaceship. Let's go."

The two split up, Warden pausing long enough to get the creature's attention. Fiona soon found the escape pods, and they were plenty big enough for the two of them.
Warden, meanwhile, found... a ded end. The creature closed in, its grasping tentacles seizing him, and working their way under his clothes. He was soon stripped to his boxers in the beasts grasp.

Rana Crouched at the starting line, as the fans in the stadium cheered. She was about to bring home the gold in olympic track and field, as she usually did in her dreams. The gun fired, and she was off, sprinting down the track to leap as far as she could into the sand pit of the long jump. Just as she hit the soft sand, though, everything fell away, her dream shattering around her, as she fell into light and shadow. As she fell through the strange , misty, realm, she found herself being drawn towards a shining globe of light, one of many floating around her. She connected with the globe and...
Rana came to a stop on a cold metal floor. It looked like she was in a factory, or a ship of some sort, going by all the industrial piping and steel doors that lined the hallway she was in. She was no longer wearing her track uniform, but a smudged coverall with a patch on the right chest side that said 'Head Chef'. Looking around her, most of the doors were unmarked, but there was one that said 'armory'. Then a strange, shrieking, roar echoed down the hall to her right.

Rana wasnt one to get into fights often, but she'd seen enough movies and news reports that her instincts werent the worst. She quickly jumps to her feet and ignoring who's jumpsuit this was or how uncomfortable and hot it felt on her skin she reached for the door marked armory. Whatever that scream was it didnt sound like a happy one. Maybe, if she wasnt a fighter herself, at least she could find something for someone who was. She reaches for the door before stopping, without a knob she felt oddly stunned, standing still with her hand out the dream made her head spin as she had to actively search for a way to open this door.

Looking around, she saw that a number pad was built into the wall next to the door. A message on the automated screen read 'Please enter authorization code'.

"Oooooohh fuck, c'mon!" Rana bats the words as quietly as she can manage. She didnt know any pass codes? But it was her dream afterall, right? She goes with the first numbers that comes to mind, then the second, then her bank pin before moving on to birthdays, phone numbers, important dates of school, upcoming deadlines in life, rappidly trying anything that could make sense until the door opened, or until she ran out of numbers to draw from. All the while glancing around for numbers scratched or scrawled nearby or numbers painted nearby, her other hand reaches around feeling her body up searching the jumpsuit for any pockets that might have anything from this dreamlife she didnt know she was living.

Even naked and entangled, James was not going down without a fight. He strained against the tentacles coiling around his limbs, trying to pull them off or push them away, or at the very least keep them busy. Even a giant extraterrestrial cephalopod had to tire out eventually. The question was who would break first…

In her pocket was a metal card that read 'authorization' on it in big bold letters. Underneath which was printed the sequence: 123456789.

Warden managed to stave the creature off, at least momentarily. But, if he didn't get some help soon, it was only a matter of time before the thing overpowered him.

she lets out a small cute little gasp and frantically jams in the numbers in the armory door keypad. Hoping this worked, cuz if it didnt she might end up joining whatever was going on down that hall with a frying pan and a ladle. Bouncing from one foot to the other on the balls of her feet ready to blast off that olympic starting line the moment the doors open enough for her petite little form to squeeze through.

The armory was mostly anti riot gear; batons, small shields, a couple of pistols that looked like something out of a scifi movie. But, there was one thing that caught her eye. Something that had clearly been cobbled together from various industrial tools and components. A nozzle connected to a back mounted fuel canister by a long hose, and jury rigged igniter. It was a flame thrower.

Panting in exertion from the sprint Fiona made a quick mental note of where she had found the pods before turning around and sprinting back to where she and Warden had split up. "There's no way... one person can take... that thing on by themselves!" she gasped to herself as she ran.

Rana gives a small bounce on both feet, this was a terrible stupid bad idea and she knew it, but she had run out of option or reason. Someone had to get it from here to there and she was fast enough, and also the only one here. She inhales to steady herself 'focus Ra, focus' she tells herself mentally, strapping on the rigged up backyard flamethrower, looking over the knobs and lines to at least get a guess of how it works. Then she shoves as many batons and pistols or knives, first aid kits, anything she can find and fit, into her pockets. Grabbing one of the shields on her way out with the flamethrower handle in her other she takes into a steady run towards the scream from before, her muscles roll smooth and sharp under her jumpsuit and her thin legs slam her feet to the floor in a zooming stride. Her red hair bounces behind her as the wind rushes over her face, it feels good, it always does. She just had to hope it wasnt already to late to find someone to use all this crap.

Fiona came sprinting back down the hall, only to run headlong into another woman coming around the corner. She was a young girl, probably not even twenty yet, but she had a plethora of weapons on her, including what looked like a flamethrower.
Rana had to stop on her heels to avoid slamming into another woman who came bolting around a corner. She was slightly older than Rana, and dressed in not but a bra and panties. Still, she had a pistol in her hand.
Warden ducked, and weaved, as tentacles lashed out at him, but one caught him by the ankle, and he was lifted into the air as the tentacled mass let out another shrill roar.

Doing anything in her prowess to avoid blasting over the woman Rana has to twist and half-dive across the intersection the girl, small and tan, grunts and staggers. She drops to her knees and slides nearly into the corner of the wall. She scrambles up as soon as she stops and starts pulling a gun and baton from her pockets holding them to the stranger. "Here take these! Are you hurt? Can i help i brought all this but i dont know how to use it?" Standing up she's barely breaking 5ft with a slinder small frame even in the jumpsuit her freckles and sharp face make her look even younger than she already possibly could be. The metal tube of the flame thrower dangles by the hose at her side, a clear riot shield in her other hand.

Squeaking in surprise at the near collision Fiona quickly turned to face the other woman. "I'm sorry are you hur-" She began to apologise before being overwhelmed by the stranger's barrage of questions and offering of weapons. "T-thank you, no I'm fine" She started replying to each question in turn before jumping at the creature's roar. Turning to see Warden's predicament she yelled "Let go of him!" before raising her pistol and firing at the offending tentacle.

Without time to protest of complete the lengthy swap, Rana resigns to her fate. Fidgetting with the nosel on the handle, stretching out the hose she reaches back to turn the lever atop the tanks. "Please work..." as the hiss of gas leaks from the pipe in her hand she braces it against the shield and squints her eyes closed before pulling the trigger. Waiting for the fireball before her to leap down the hallway at whatever that ugly mess is.

While the pistol was barely noticed, the flames quickly covered the monster, who let Warden fall to the floor as the tentacled mass writhed in agony for a few moments before laying still. Smoke quickly filled the hall, and the smell of the beast's burning flesh was overpowering.
