What?
Why? Isn't there a lot of content already written from the Document Repositories? Why not add this content to the game? Some people have been looking forward to this and are still waiting relentlessly to this day...
Anyway, I hope one day all this work and content will be completed and added to the game
That's a damn shame, I only continued playing TiTs for more Bianca.. ah well still got CoC2.
We are gathered here today for the funeral of Bianca, Leila, Reina and Roo, may they rest in TiTS </3
Fuck this sucks, I’ve been waiting for Leila since before flash got canned, and feel like the pirate base would have been done by now if they hadn’t taken will off of that project, and everything else he had planned would have been done
Saaame. Leila's initial doc ages ago was what made me sub to his patreon because she ticked so many boxes for me lol. I then ended up subscribing to TitS/CoC2 as a result. The Bored Jumpers are still some of my favourite scenes in TiTS but I am sad we'll never get my Domme Bunny crew ='(
I still like when Will has scenes in TiTS updates but I miss him doing full characters.
I wonder if Fenoxo can imagine, that blocking Will's latest big project right as it was about to be finished, might have negatively impacted Will's willingness to work on big projects in general.
From an outsiders perspective it does seem a bit disingenuous saying that they want for his "writefires to stay lit" with smaller projects while they put his passion projects on hold. But that's just an assumption of me. Maybe I am totally wrong and William actually likes to write the things the team throw at him and he didn't care all that much about the projects in this thread and that's why he stopped updating it a while ago. shrug

to play devil's advocate, since we're all making a lot of assumptions with limited information
we don't know if fen was being hard on will because they didn't like will's projects and was shooting them down, or if they were being hard on will to make them commit and finish their projects.
it doesn't seem unreasonable to me that fen's "hounding him for quite some time" was hounding to get the scope of a project under control (since Will "set a grander scope that he could ever deliver on") so it could actually be submitted and coded in.

I see it as him biting off more than he can chew. He's great with smaller stuff, followers are large project and a ton of commitment. The last time Will was online on the forum was in 2023, which can be seen in his personal profile. In any case, I hope that Will will be able to complete these projects one day. I am willing to wait no matter how long it takes. Actually , I have been waiting for this for more than five years, and I can continue to wait, but I still hope that day can come soon.
Since these characters are all unfinished, anticipation is always inevitable, and I hope Will can successfully complete all the other big projects he has on hand, and then take the time to look back at the characters he has shelved.
Yeah agreed, it is very much not fair from Fenoxo to say "I hope his desire to write is well lit!" after PRACTICALLY BEING THOSE CLOSE TO FINISHING A MAJOR PROJECT, nor it's fair to say he has been hounding for content a long time when they put the entire project on the backburner for Phaedra and other stuff (for a whopping 3 characters), who could have guessed this would kill a person's desire to write?
The Zheng Shi Project also would have made it an actually decent place to return to, outside of Lorelei, Cherry's Hall, Roo, and Teyaal it pretty much has not much depthful content going on for it, it's more or less barren and unfinished (LDC, Tivf, Maike, Shock Hopper are basically one-off encounters).
Also friendly reminder that Roo's content was also pretty close to being finished as well but that too was put on eternal hiatus and now presumably thrown into the shredder, so all that work was for absolutely nothing.
I do think William may have bitten more than he could have chew with Sophora and Bored Jumpers, but thing is the project was seemingly actually going quite well writting wise, i can see the scope being worrying but at best it looked like it just needed some trims here and there to be more manageable coding wise, it was more or less good to go.
But the project was essentially near final stage and they looked at it and went "no, put everything on Hiatus and go work on an even more unfinished planet", i don't think that was very fair to William at all imo, they basicaly shot the entire project down when from the looks of it, was going to be submitted and added to the game.
What was even the point? William spent months writing the new content and all of it was thrown into a endless hiatus that may or may have not gone to the entire shredder for a planet that being blunt no one really cares about.

Damn. Doing something you like a lot, then stuff happening which impacts the way you look at it and turning such activity in a chore/something unlikable is sad (4th year of college so i can relate i believe). So much good stuff that may never see the light of day. Also hope he's doing fine, seeing as the brother's last activiy on the forums has been more than a year ago.
I will inhale as much copium as possible, "hope is the last thing to die" as the saying goes.
I hope one day he can get Leila implemented. She ticks so many boxes for me plus we can always use another companion
If we just get the Bianca and Roo content that's been written I'll be satisfied honestly.
Yeah, for me personally, I would love to get the full Bianca and Reina duo’s content, as well as the full Roo content Include crew part, and I'm still willing to pay for it, If Will still has his patreon operating, but he seems to have closed the sponsorship.

From what i can see theres blame for all this on both parties. Will did likely throw too many irons in the fire whilst he still had commitments to the baseline content, which to hazard a guess may have been what turned Fen to put his foot down. I can see the likely logic Fen had with all this. I mean ffs Phaedra still doesnt have descriptions for the locations, if that doesnt scream "pushed out the door" i dunno what does, and something like that doesnt just happen.
On the other hand it was an L on Fens part for not yanking the leesh before things got out of hand, and for just curb stomping all of those projects to death right off the bat instead of at least allowing them to be put at the back of the line.

At this point its all just tinfoil hats and speculation, so the best we can do is hope this doesnt turn into another situation like with Berwyn and HuggsAlright.

There is nothing worth reminiscing and waiting about TITS now. Maybe if there is a subsequent expansion of Frostwyrm Family or Azra, I will come back to take a look. That's it.

Damn that's a huge loss, Bianca and Roo represented a very big chunk of the content I was looking forward to. Hope he's doing alright at least, mental and physical wellbeing come first and all.
So what’s going to happen to the pirate base? The rats and shock hopper? Is Laila and her sister are going to be picked up by someone else? What about Bianca?
They were all pretty much feature complete when we moved on from Zheng Shi's rec deck; everything Will was working on was, strictly speaking, unneccessary bonus content.
I sincerely doubt anybody will pick up his personal OC projects.

Considering Will being Shoehorned at a critical time for his personal come back. Something about labeling a writer's passion as feature complete therefore "unnecessary bonus content" at a time when said writer leaves and in his own thread at that reveals a lot about the relationship, not saying who is wrong or right but this i dont know the details of said relationship but i sense animosity with this giving spitting on a grave vibe. Someone had to say it..
