One of the big reasons I'm not fond of Bess/n from TiTS is when you're further down their romance path and date them suddenly it's a problem when you do that, in a world where sex bots and companion AIs/droids are rampart, yet YOU'RE the one who's a "toasterfucker" lawl, it doesn't do anything for the game's worldbuilding either. It's just a consistency issue for the sake of wanting to write that one thing because you wanna justify this conflict that shouldn't be a thing in the game's verse or be extremely honkingly rare by then. I don't want to be or wanna see characters be discriminated for their sexuality or whatever minor thing they're into. Like why would you want that???

Its all in the framing, like I don't want people lynched. I had more something in mind of a character coming from the outside where gay relationships are frowned upon, and the champion can show them the glory of holding hands in a very GAY way.
I'd love to see NPCs overcoming the shame that is pushed on by society. You are right, I don't need fantasy to show me the opposite.
One word: Embry.
A character who makes absolutely no sense in a setting where your sex and gender are completely fluid and body modding is commonplace. In order to stick an expy of his RL friend into the game, JimT created not just an entire species, but a society that went against the premises of the setting.
Bringing your baggage along with you often does you no favours.

Never liked that, I'd like for the game's casualness and openness around these sorts of things actually be followed. Even in CoC2 folks got alchemy and stuff to make for easy changes, just need the thing and regent in question.
In a game full of sexual freedom and how easy it is to make yourself into another sex/gender entirely, putting that sort of baggage in makes the character and/or lore stick out like such a sore thumb it hurts. Not even gonna get into how putting an expy of one's irl friend into a porn game just feels really offputting either. Dev cameos are fine and one thing but... >.>

IMO the idea of embry is wonderful. She caught me completely off guard. At that point, i was like:"who cares if she got a dick. I mean, I just came from Tarkus and oh boy..."
Gradually Jim made a place where trans people would still exist even in that society. I agree that it is a very fine line to walk for tone and stuff. As much as I like embry, I don't think Jim has always pulled it off. My main gripe is that her homeplanet had to become earth, and at that point it her story came too normal for a hyperspace sex adventure.
Maybe thats the issue with the tits setting. But especially a game around transformation, a trans character would be really interesting. I'd love to see another try in CoC2, where the world has more concrete rules. Mind you, not all characters can easilly change. Arona also needed to do stuff for her dick. So its not completely off the table by the setting.

Kaede. She does the trans thing way more in-tune for the universe than Embry ever could because she didn't need hoops jumped to justify her being so, just got Tittyblossom and done. Her dick is 8 inches I think it was, dunno about her mother but heard it was modest(?), but she and the few other trans characters never made a big deal about being trans like Embry.

Tbh i think if there was a path to convince Embry to just stay as a trap would be better since in a world where u can go from a human to a frostwyrm/slime/kitty-naga/etc in a matter of a hour (even less) and where your body parts are way easier to adjust to your desires than in any other known universe going from male to female and exaggerating it's importance like it's the second coming of God himself is just a bad idea.

Got the demon Breine dream. And it got me thinking, while yes being evil is fun and all, it's also boring. Bad guy characters tend to loose depth and complex dimensions. What is good for characters though is when Corruption means less brainless fuck pet, and more seduction to evil. I like how demon Breine did everything for love of the Champion. Moral depravity shared is the best kind.
One of the big problems of writing evil stuff in an RPG is that an intelligent evil character (unless you're chaotic evil in which case nobody cares, go murder a village or something) just acts like a good character right up until the moment(s) of truth. This isn't really related to the Brienne thing, I just wanted to say it. An adventurer looking to become a lich by sacrificing his party members is going to act exactly the same as a lawful good dude accompanying his bros. Shit's hard to write.
I won't spoil the Brienne corruption stuff but I'm looking forward to writing it.

If either is true then one could hide them in plain sight. This does not mean their nature could be hidden they will always be little shits and they don't have the discipline to act otherwise.
