"fuck it, it's a porn game, no one will care"
This one is important to me.

If you're gonna make a game then make a game. If you're just gonna make porn then make porn. So many games out there where every shop and street sign has a sex pun or asinine content blocks like bullshit mini games.

The only time mini-games are used in these are like bomb-defusal in TiTs or the "Conversation Battles" in CoC-2. Both of which are fun because of context.

CoC-1, CoC-2, and TiTs are fun as games. That's why you can find a bunch of crazies(I say this with love) who do "virgin runs." Heck CoC-1 has a good armor set that relies on you being a virgin for the most benefits.

I really do appreciate a game that doesn't need to be pornographic to be special.

Also appreciate the more limited and controlled transformation options compared to CoC 1 or TiTS. It feels more special and less forced when every change you make is largely cosmetic, and you don't have to save scum to get the results you actually wanted. No going though random shenanigans to get the Very Special powers of a few notable transformations without losing others, or dealing with RNG on which features you lose/gain every time you use an item.

(Though I'll admit I don't see the point to virgin runs. Waifu runs, sure. Limit who you mate with to make the relationship feel more special and make yourself feel less like breeding stock. But ignoring sex in a game like this locks you out of a whole dimension of content.)

Why do people do Speedruns where they use glitches to bypass the vast majority of the game? Or Pacifist runs in a game where there is a significant focus on combat and you're ignoring a significant amount of game mechanics by not fighting at all?

Games aren't just about how they are meant to be played, they are also about how people choose to play them.

Seeing how I'm doing some of these for my Champs... my rationale (and I only do it for CoC2) is dependent on the Champ. Since I have seven separate files I run in parallel I'm not really locked out of much content because at least one of my files can unlock pretty much any scene the game can throw at me. Meanwhile I have one male and one female Champ who are doing virgin runs just in case there's future content that actually tracks virginity (because some authors do and I want to be able to see their stuff just in case) with different roleplaying hooks for why, and the remaining one is a virgin run for roleplaying reasons because the character is waiting for Ryn's cage to come off so their relationship can be equal.

But those aside, since I run a number of non-virgin run Champs I'm not really missing anything. Though I did have to make a new file recently because my only Champ with Brienne and not Brint has a penis and Wsan's teased future content that will only apply for Champs who don't have one. So now I'm probably future-proofed for everything.

I'm the one who consistently makes a shortstack catfolk charmer with a courtesan background and a breeding obsession. Not saying it's wrong to play another way, just that my own choices tend toward maximum slut.

And considering I'm currently rebuilding an alpha file (again) so that I can experience new content as it comes out... not overly worried about multiple files at the moment.

You sure this doesn't belong to Confessions of champions thread instead ? As for mine joys Brint as he is a true dwarf at heart (gr8 battlebro and fuckbuddy) achieving 100% upgrade stage for the nursery (i like achievments that require dedication) and bringing enough offspring into this world that its gonna be a grand battle royale (my main champ is at 600+ and only 1/6 of those are driders) after they grow up.

My Paladin character has been romancing Kasyrra, for the sole purpose of getting close enough to one day deliver some well-deserved Smiting. There is no redemption, only justice! His sudden and inevitable betrayal of her will be glorious.

Since I realize I haven't shared some joys yet despite posting in here, time to fix that. I've mentioned in favorite character topics the various things I really like about Cait, Brint and Ryn particularly. So I won't repeat the bulk of that here but I just love how each of them is written as characters. Actually, I will mention Cait again because I really like how she has all these other facets to her other than just '(ex-)temple prostitute who has lots of sex'. She's got her magical studies, a lot of knowledge of history, Catfolk Brian Blessed for a father...

And then there's Kasyrra. The writers have been upfront that they wanted her to be a major presence the whole game and not have all the pitfalls of Lethice and they're really succeeded. The fact that she's got multiple motivations such that you can make a coherent argument for why some of your Champs might actually be okay with the bulk of her plans is just icing on the cake, instead of being a Bad Person who does Bad Things because they're the Big Bad. But at the same time you can equally justify a Champion who just wants to stop them, so as antagonists go she's really interesting and dynamic.

I suppose the meta-joy to all that would be the fact that the writers have created a fun and interesting story with characters to match that is also a porn game, as opposed to a porn game where the worldbuilding and characters are largely there only to give the porn somewhere to happen and people for it to happen with.

As for mine joys Brint as he is a true dwarf at heart (gr8 battlebro and fuckbuddy)
I mean, Khor'minos and its inhabitants pretty much occupy the geographic and story niche that Dwarves would if they existed in the setting so you aren't wrong there.

A big joy I have with this game is how fleshed out the companions feel in this game. I like how they’ll make comments about the things they see. I like how they have little flavor text when they’re puttering about the tavern or around camp. They feel way more involved than in previous games.

Also the Brint romance is just wonderful. I love Brint so much. The date scene made my day when I first discovered it. I’m gonna marry that minotaur so hard when it becomes available.

I'm glad the salon was added. I finally get hair options and they sell eye color changing items. More customization is always awesome and I can finally have purple or red eyes with my long hair.

When ever our PC acts shows that they have a spine/act dickeshly. Here is the most recent example. The first time I was about to refuse Ryn on her offer of be her underling was a quite the suprise. Like, I expected her to politely refuse the elves on there offer. I did not expect her to say it so bluntly, especially if you have Ryn next to you. It made me grin like a mad man. Like I though "Damn girl, there are those balls that I made you grow. I am so proud!"

I do enjoy when a scene takes my by surprise. Example being blowing Quint. Prior to that scene, my only sexual scene with him was him using his no no magic on my champion without really asking and fucking me into a pure bliss. It was nice, but at same time, it kind of give my idea that he will always be dominant in you bottom to him. When I chose the blowjob that scene I went with that mind set. And it did kind of start the way I was expecting. Especially with him taking control and forcing me to deep throat. I was taken back in how the champion wrigled out on top and is able to finish the scene on there own turns. That is not even bringing up the fact his scene where we are riding him cowgirl. Just the fact that we had a bottoming scenes where we are not submissive just made my day.

I adore Nakano as a character way more than anyone else I imagine. It helps that he is my type. I know that he hates us because of things that are out of our control. But at same time, it is nice to have a character that is not imidietly all buddy with us/sucking our dick/eating the nacho. And I enjoy, actually rebel in fact that he is forced to act all prim and proper with us. Especially if we are parent to his wife/his champion. The amount inner turmoil you can just feel from him is glorious. Especially since Keros is also on it. He enjoys his suffering as much as we do. Making Nakano teach us his techniques... Classic Keros I tell ya.

Example please? While he is sympathetic in ger goals such as wanting children, she is still a villain through and through. She is in no way justified in her wanton for power and world domination.

Ya see what Akhter13 posted a little while ago? That's my response. Get on Kas' romantic path and read the text.
I did. She still does it because she wants to change world to her image. That is her main point. Oh sure she can claim that it is because it comes from place of understanding. Wanting to bring us out of bronze age. Oh how she just wants to make everyone free to express themselves. But at the end of the day, she is still here to rule the world. To force her will on innocent. And is cause of death to many elven people. And is going after our soul. Yeah, I really can see how she is more than characteristic yet charismatic villain.

Given your Maximum Edge posting and the number of times you've talked about how you like playing the sadist, you'll forgive me if I'm skeptical at your outrage over Kas' actions. Meanwhile, she (arguably) has a point that Savarra is a technological backwater where bronze metallurgy is the baseline, the kitsune only use iron out of necessity and nobody knows how to make steel. Hence, Kas' offer to bring Savarra things like electricity is something that can be coherently argued to be a good thing. True, it comes with a whole raft of other things like disgusting little rape demons, but that's why it's a 'room for debate' thing that depends on how you're roleplaying your champ. Also, there's interesting stuff about Kasyrra that's only come out in Bad Ends so far.

The point is that Kas has more depth than you're giving her credit for and that is something I love about the game.

Oh I agree she has depth. I just disagree that any decent person that puts more than 5 seconds in considering her plan would take a stand by her. Even if it comes with free plumbing. Just admit that you like Idea of rulling the world next to her? Me, more of a solo ruler kind of guy. And not really into a hyper dickgirls so a pass from me in most cases.

I like the companions and how they feel like there is more to them than some repeatable scenes, Brint is my favorite though.
Combat is really fun and I like how you can make your character pretty much whatever you want.
Overall this is just a really great game in everything its doing.

It seems strange to me that it continues to be said that no one can make steel in Savarra when a katana has to be made with it by necessity so as not to break both in combat and during manufacturing. I have read several sources that mention that from the beginning they were made of steel. It is only combining iron and carbon and it is dated to have existed from 3000 BC. (most of the time by accident), rather, the one of good qualities so difficult to manufacture that it is only available to the upper classes, for example, the Kurokawa clan.

I don't see why the Kitsune couldn't have figured it out for themselves since they didn't feel the regression of the war of the gods and they had part of the old Empire's technology.
Or is the non-existence of steel something cannon mentioned by Savin and explained as "magic"?
In any case, if someone knows of a source that says otherwise, I would appreciate it if you shared it with me.

The oldest found steel production sites date back to 1800BC, not earlier.
You confuse it with the earlierst swords, which are dated to the 3300BC, but they where more proto-swords and where not made from iron.
The katana itself was actually developed in the 14th century.

I honestly really enjoy how many characters you can just interact with without having to make it sexual if you don't want to.

Like, you can fuck Vaush if you want to, or, he can be just the friendly, pot-head, hippie orc that you meet every now and then that used to be a crazy berserker.

Same thing with Ninian: do you want to just interact with him and NOT turn him into a cock socket? You can totally do that and you will still get all of his non-sexual content (wich is surprisingly a lot).

You can play the game either being as degenarete or as tame as you want to and that's pretty great considering that it's a smut game.

Did you know that you can train Ryns ass to take bigger dick even if she is not able at first? By choosing monstrous anal option few times, depending on your prick size, you can get her to take your dick in her. This is a first for this types of games, and I have to say, it is enjoyable. Immensely so.

I love the fact that Kasyrra is an active and nuanced villain that you run into multiple times instead of her suffering from Lethice's "Illidan Stormrage Syndrome" of sitting around doing nothing of note until the final boss-fight. And that you can play your champion as falling in love with her and she actually returns the sentiment as much as a demon is capable of. Personally, my plan is to get to a point where the outcome of the final confrontation with Kasyrra is either redeeming her or joining her depending on who wins.

I also love all the unexpected heartwarming moments in the game.
