Honestly, I don't hate the Kitsune as much as some people obviously do. Not that I'd defend them on an in-universe level, but I appreciate the change of experience.

Kiyoko is still my favorite, but that part really pissed me off.

Kiyoko is one of the most obviously flawed non-villain characters in the game. Personally, I speculate that the centuries of isolation took more of a toll on her psyche then she lets on. To put in perspective, Komari, surrounded by her family and work is checked out of her own life while Kiyoko was isolated from everyone for the same amount of time.

While really egregious, you can start to see why Keros is such a dick to Komari.
I definitely like to at least head-canon that Kiyoko has some trauma/PTSD from being trapped in the orb for - from her perspective - probably millennia. Isolation is extremely bad for us, and despair is possibly even worse - after centuries of the orb lying under dust in that cave, she must have had no hope. Prisoners serving indeterminate sentences (yup, the UK has a small number of petty criminals serving prison sentences that have no max length - good job, UK justice system) have shown severe mental health issues from despair, up to an including developing schizophrenia and psychosis.

I would assume that the astral plane is healing any mental harm she takes, as well as physical, though I do feel like she has some mental health issues/trauma, though that might be more what I read into it than what Tobs intended. I think it would be lovely if her first scene, where you first encounter her in the Astral Plane, had her acting much more fearfully, much more like someone who has had zero contact with other people in centuries, like she has to push herself to answer the door, let you in, try and behave like a civilised creature. The abrupt way the encounter ends would then feel more fitting, and her having time to prepare herself before the next encounter could close that off.

Her most egregious moment for me, moreso even than Kinu's engagement, is when you first free her. They all come out of the orb and there's no acknowledgement from anyone of any distress the champ might feel finding they've missed ten years of their family's lives, just a flippant comment. Then Kiyoko waves you away, like, "You've served your purpose in getting me out; now you're an inconvenience." "Oh, are you still here?" I don't imagine that's what Tobs intended but it's how it comes across. An option to pass a couple of days helping you family settling into their home, or even a unique victory-sex scene with Kiyoko would go some way to amending this. And hey, might finally give a chance for just one lesbian scene with her if I complete the Kitsune dungeon with my ghostlight off.

Kiyoko is okay, I like the fact she now acknowledges the MC if the MC is female and able to have kits. Unlike when she's in the orb. Could just be how it's written.

Is there a specific scene you're referring to? I play a female champ, get a ghostlight almost exclusively for Kiyoko's sake, and haven't noticed anything really acknowledging that. I still remember when I first played through and her scenes regularly referred to my femchamp as her husband or Kinu's father, so it felt like provision for female champs in her scenes was barely an afterthought. While that's been fixed, I haven't noticed any further work in that direction.

When I give my character a plush physique, why does it say that my character has toned pectorals? Wouldn't my character's chest be, I don't know, flabby? Also, why isn't there a way to have just a flat chest, like plain flat.

do you maybe have perks like buxom or milky? those usually prevent it, also maybe look at the tone meter? that usually does it for me

The sliders during character creation didn't make it clear on what body or face your character will have upon completion.

? i dont gwt what you mean since wright at the end it gives you an appearance tab, where you see how your champ looks, every body part is elaborated on

Does your character have their gender set as male? Being/setting their gender as male means they will always have their chest described using pectorals, unless you give them boobs above like a B-cup.

Right now, only characters whose gender is female can have a "true" flat chest under their appearance.

also you take that back, rindo, trtsuya and kohaku are very pleasant too
Honestly, while I like Kinu bc she can still be adorable, Kiyoko is just rendered meh to me( I don't appreciate how we are treated like some bumbling barbarian when we did the Matron's damn job, on top of helping around the den for no reason other than we want) But Rindo is actually perfect. Love that content, even if it feels a bit savior-ey at times.

Plus got a thing for face scars, but 95% the other stuff

When you confront Alante in the arena, why does fighting her alone has you instantly taking her in marriage, even if you haven't picked the "See in Arena" choice when you first encounter her like I have?

Because she told you that was the route to marriage for her, and you did the exact thing she told you was effectively proposing to her.

With the Character Creation changes I harboured half a hope that the horrible body-size calculator (least favourite thing about this game I otherwise love) might have been updated. Alas, I have thickness 19, muscle tone 35, and am considered overweight. ::Sad ninja noises::

Guess I need to go to Fenraus and buy some wine to shrink my butt...

yea lol, thats the MOST common reason people either A. abandon that branch of story at all(i mean kiyoko and kinu, not the whole fox story and place) or B. they just put up with it or dont care, but mostly its hime - hates you and is mini kiyoko, inari - hates kiyoko and is mini you(also YOU think you freed your family in like weeks, but for them it was actually like a decade, so hime blames you and inari blames mom)

Which is particularly annoying, as Kiyoko says in one conversation you can have with her that Keros mostly likely willfully did that as part of "equivalent exchange"... which mind is itself bullshit, as as was gone over earlier in the quest line with Evergreen, trying to pull "equivalent exchange" without even telling the other party is just outright theft, and supposedly a big no no to Keros. Yet, of course, you can't even confront his hypocritical jack ass about said accusations.

Like on the whole, I like the kitsune, and underneath the cultural differences I don't really find them that cold to the player*, but that case in particular is rather annoying in your lack of any agency to even "have" an opinion. Like let me at least yell at the asshole. While it's also one of the things that just make me go "You know, I want to trust the Seven, but they make it REALLY hard some times.".

*Now everyone else in the world, including the rest of the players family? Totally(which your seemingly complete inability to even try to do anything about is itself kind of an issue.) But personally they seem to grow pretty fond and welcoming of the player. Hell, when Kinu gets attacked they all seem to take your side over her wanting to keep you out of it. They just basically tell you "We've got literally no idea where he is, because it ain't even in the game yet.". lol

It's one thing to mouth off to God/the Gods when you don't know if they exist and something else entirely to do so when you know they do. One is venting frustration, the other is shouting, "Punch me in the face as hard as you can." Why would you want to do that?

There's just no way they're going to let you yell at God unless more than 80% or so of paying players are willing to suffer the consequences of God yelling back at you. Something tells me they're not.

I mean, it's possible Observer has a massive alienation fetish and that's why all the kitsune content emphasises treating us like a dirty foreigner. I don't know.

The Seven don't really seem the type to turn you into a pile of salt just for criticizing them. To the point doing so seems a pretty big part of their religion. While if Keros's whole "thing" is wanting to see how people react, it would be kinda silly for him to get indignant when said reaction is anger... also, we're talking about the gods you can basically just walk right up to and tell to bend over so you can fuck them... Also also, to my understanding he's not even technically physically "there" when you're talking to him, and so punching him is more likely just to hurt your hand then do literally anything to him.

To be honest, I don't think that's quite what they act towards you. Though there seems to me more then a bit of "we are such edgy tortured vampires, ain't we?" in their attitudes towards themselves.

Well, since the current topic are everyone's favorite fox people, the latest update is relevant, I think

The scene for turning Kiyoko’s amulet over to Keros has been rewritten to be kinder to you, and now gives you the Control Rod. (By Tobs)

Curios what was exactly changed.
Changed in the scene or in the sentiment that lead to this change?

For the scene, Keros acknowledges that you've had the time to make up your mind and respects your decision to not bed Kiyoko and rewards you for the work you did put in in giving her a new chance at life.

As for why it was changed after so long. It was me. I complained in discord about it and claim all credit for this change.

I feel like the more and more unfinished content keeps piling up the more we should either remove it entirely or have an option to disable it in our games.
When the game's close to 1.0 we'll do an audit for stuff like that, but probably not before.

That's the best way to go about it, because it allows new and old writers to potentially pick up the content and "complete" it. If by that point no one has, it is what it is.

But I wanna heal the gnoll mage! Have you seen her in that corset?! We just need to crack the whip harder!
She does seem kind of the poster child for it. Like there's plenty that could maybe have more going on or involvement. But she kinda just shows up and... ... ... "and". Like it seriously feels like even her intro is just one long frozen loading bar.
