hey @Savin, why is it that when i disarm an enemy, they can still feed me a knuckle sammich, but when i or my party members get disarmed, we're fucked for three turns? why cant i spend a turn either pulling another weapon out or outright punching them back, especially if im sitting on several cooldowns? for that matter, why is equilibrium the only way to get disarm immunity? why dont we have other items or abilities that either let us grab some more gear or let us punch back?

Pop a Remedy, it has essentially the same effect.
wait, so remedy removes disarm? a bunch of herbs in a bag, a literal teabag, lets us pick our weapon back up? thats some jrpg logic right there.

Remedy clears all negative combat status effects. Feel free to think of it as 'taking a combat turn a few seconds mid-battle to pick up your weapon'.

also, when do we get pants? from the way everything is worded, every set of armor only ever covers the chest. right now, my character is running around in a chestplate, gloves, a massive cloak, some winged boots, and panties. it bugs me that my character description pretty much says i forgot to wear pants. the only "pants" item in the game are the studded leathers.

my third current gripe is the fact that we cant have an offhand light if we have a nonlight in our main hand. parrying daggers are a thing, you know. why cant i have a frosthammer and a bone seax for instance? the way it is in game, its a one handed hammer, and a seax is essentially a machete

1) You can edit your post to add things rather than double-posting and cluttering the forum.
2) The entire point of the dual-wielding mechanic is that both weapons have to be light enough that you can handle them effectively. Yes, it's mainly a gameplay mechanic for balancing purposes but on some level it's an abstraction of the idea of 'even if this is a one-handed weapon, it's difficult enough to use that you can't effectively use an offhand weapon at the same time'.
3) Some of the 'Chest' equipment also covers the lower body, but this is a porn game so the underwear is more important mechanically and you can simply imagine what your Champ is wearing if it's not explicit.

With how many encounters are in the foothills, it's a huge pain to find Arona enough times to clear out Right of Conquest, especially if you don't want to fuck her.
Oh, do you have to fight her less times if you sex her? I didn't know that.

I agree. It's pretty grindy. And it'll only become a worse problem if more encounters are added to the region in the future.

Different zones in the foothills have different encounter tables. Those colours aren't just for show.

Pulled directly from the encounter table.

Foothills north combat encounters, assuming all unlocks:

-Harpies
-Marked Mercs (doubled if sugo's quest is active to get iron)
-Vaush (removable)
-Manticore
-Jen (beat MMM)
-Arona (level 3 or above)
-Grettel (exclusive with Arona)
-Byvernia repeat (only appears if RoQ is done)
-Painted demon (after WC)

West:

-Harpies
-Wyvern
-Vaush(removable)
-Berwyn
-Arona
-Grettel (exclusive with Arona)
-Byvernia repeat (only appears if RoQ is done)
-Painted demon

Snipping away all the potential factors:

North:

*Did not unlock Jen, remove Vaush, before WC, level 3, Sugoquest not active

-Harpies
-MMM (non multiplied chance)
-Manticore
-Arona

West:

-Cleared Berwyn, remove Vaush, Byvernia cannot spawn before Right of Conquest done, before WC, level 3

-Harpies
-Wyvern
-Arona

Your best bet is to search foothills west because the MMM and Jen are major sources of encounter dilution, especially the MMM who can have a 2x spawn rate depending on quest status. Having Sugoquest active and Jen unlocked means Arona spawns are 1/2 that of foothills west.

Pretty minor gripe but refreshing boons is a bit of a chore.

Also the fact that Willpower maxing is the only (?) party-wide boon you can get, which makes dumping Willpower the best choice in many cases.
This will probably be resolved in the future when more content is added, I imagine.

Going off of this I don't particularly like how the buffs work since yeah if you want to maximize it you essentially need to neglect the stat and with how easy some are to use like the free willpower buff over at Ryn's for example it's just a bummer if I heavily invested in that. I get it to a point they have a max they don't want you breaking things but personally I would like in as the inverse.

Like example time: You have 20 Willpower and Companion 1 has 10 and 2 has 15 cause i can show some difference. Have it give a flat bonus and 50% of your stat added.
You would get 20(base) + 5 (flat amount) + 10 (half of base value round down to reign things in) for 35 from the boost.
companion 1 would get 10 + 5 + 5 for 20
companion 2 would get 15 + 5 + 7 for 27
it's like how items in the game work but i think those were mentioned on getting reworked. Obviously these are just example numbers and can be adjusted to whatever.

or a different thing this could do if you have already invested in the stat is to lengthen how long these buffs stay on you based on your stat though time isn't usually a factor for many things save for maybe an exceptionally long dungeon it could still help like a base time value like 6 hours but an extra 20 minutes per stat point in the stat so if you had 20 willpower it'd last for 12 hours 40 minutes.

just some alternatives since it just bugs me a bit how it works out even if i don't min max I don't like feeling like the stats I'm choosing aren't good. especially when in most games it ends up like that since most games just want you to choose damage stats and more damage. I feel I kind of made it a bigger deal then it is with all this text here but ah well.

@Arona Stuff. Thanks for the info Tobs. Though the average player doesn't necessarily have access to this information.

Anyway, it's not a huge deal. I just brought it up because I've done more playthroughs than is healthy trying out different things and Arona's quest is consistently one of the things I dread doing.

Like Berry takes 3 random encounters to progress and so does Lusina, and it feels like (never counted exactly) Arona takes like 10 (not sexing her, if that makes a difference).

@Boons. Yeah. It's a bit all or nothing. Either you put all your background/class things into taking a stat to 20 or you don't invest in a stat at all and use boons to max it out. And it's slightly unintuitive to be encouraged not to put points into a stat you want in the latter case.

I recognize that boons are optional, and frankly, 1 or 2 missing stat points aren't going to make or break your build, but still.

Why does Annika say I left the Dawn sword at the frosthound even though I have it on me

It's a bug that was noted right when it rolled out and Drake has already confirmed it will be fixed in the next release along with some other Anni-related things.

My biggest gripe for now is the somewhat limited selection of colors on offer at the Stylists; I'd also like some items that change the color of your scales.

Women with dicks who provide sperm for having kids literally do exist in this world. And they almost all want to be called mom.

And? I made it pretty clear i wanted it to be optional, for those who don't follow the common convention, i made no comment on anyone's validity or autonomy. Transwomen and dickgirls are not at all the same thing in this game's universe so what even is your point? One that doesn't apply? One that i already accounted for? One that's just trying to stir up an argument? I'm playing a fully female woman champ and wish she'd be called dad by Kinu, wtf business is that of yours?
You expressed that if women in the real world who had dicks existed (as if they didn't) and could have kids (as if they can't), you thought they should be called dad, which they are not. My point is that those women do exist, do have kids, and are not called dad. My objection is in you acting as if women with dicks having kids is purely fantasy, rather than an actual thing, but it is a thing that happens, fairly often.

Edit: to be clear, I am neither accusing you of transphobia nor suggesting that what you want isn't valid. I am providing information and a correction.

I wish Quin's recruitment quest was tied to his Arrangement discussion rather than his rescue. That way you can rescue him but don't have to recruit him if you don't want him as a companion. Having an open quest I will never finish grates on my OCD. Just no reason for me to have Quin as a companion, since he won't ever get a female/herm/femboy transformation. Also way he talks about your other companions bothers me as well, but doesn't mean he completely deserves the boot.

TOOOOOOOOL TIIIIIIIIIIIPS.

Gimme those sweet mouseover dopamine hits. Unfurl a nice menu of what every stat is being influenced by when I roll my cursor over them. Watch me moan like a two dollar whore when a little gesture tells me what something is instead of needing to leave whatever menu I'm in and go flipping through the codex/wiki.

Seriously, though. Let me mouse over "Evasion" and see that I'm getting +17 from Agility, +10 from my shield, +20 from my armor, +5 from my boots, and +5 from my ring. I hate that both the stat screen and lots of scenes are absolutely starved for tooltips.

Appreciated on my part. Sometimes a button doesn't have a descriptive enough name to tell me what it's actually gonna entail and when I mouse over one and find no description it really hits me in the hesitation.

This here is why I included scenes in my tooltips gripe. Some buttons are even abbreviated, which if you're unfamiliar with an acronym might lead to someone not knowing what they're picking.

So in short, in case my position wasn't already clear Alypia: Tooltips gud. I honestly can't think of a time in gaming where I've ever been like "I want fewer and less detailed tooltips." Especially in RPGs and strategy/management games--my primary genres--you NEED tooltips to get information quickly. And while, for example, Paradox games like HoI4 might have tooltips a mile long, that tooltip tells me everything I need to know about whatever UI element I'm hovering over.
