Oh for crying out loud, drop the victim act. The pure Dawnsword not having as overpowered a special ability as the corrupted one is not punishing you, it's still an extremely good weapon that works well with certain builds and does a damage type that happens to be absolute murder on demons.
sorry but this is the thread for that, demons are easy to kill with Ryn in her outrider gear regardless of how trash the champion is so it really means nothing that it does murder on demons when an ice arrow obliterates half of the group when multiple and really takes a very large chunk if not outright murders single enemies, really to me and apparently not only me the pure dawnsword is a super niche weapon that gets outvoted by a ring very easily
wrong, holding your arms out and falling while holding your arms out at the same time at the same exact angle, and preventing gravity from changing said angle is very tiring, in fact i would say falling with your arms held out in a specific position would be more tiring then just standing there holding your arms up

sorry but.. i dont get it... the dawn sword is way better then the corrupted dawn sword..... both give a power for equipping but the CDS lowers armor, ward and focus while the dawnsword increases all three....i mean seriously..... the best points of the CDS is weakened by the fact it deals blight damage which 90% of enemies are strong agienst, ..... also your whole thing about ryn.... its only true on easy mode and story mode.......
I disagree that the dawnsword is good but nice it works well with your build, and yeah I play in easy mode due my champ having 0 life and damage but high threat
To be honest, I thought the stat spread on it was rather bizarre, considering what it basically is, and what is is explicitly stated as being able to do. I’d suggest dropping the Armor boost, which seems kind of out of left field, and replacing it with a decent Armor Pen value.

Why is it that Viviane hasn't had her companion content added? I know Balak's been spending a lot of time on the combat balance rework, but her companion content was submitted and accepted before Companion submissions got locked, back in November of last year. Why is it that, after 9 months, her stuff is still not in? I know that it can take a while for stuff to get in, BerryQuest2 was finished 3 months before it got into the game. And yeah, I'm aware that Balak also said he'd be adding more to her between the submission and when the submission gets reviewed. But at this point, I'd assume it's been reviewed, considering the time since the initial submission. Is it just a low priority for coding/implementation?
It takes time, I'm looking forward to having Viv in party.. let's hope she'll be a much better fighter and companion than 'he must not be named'.
I think I heard something along the lines of 'we've been focusing on the Berwyn transition, and now that's out of the way Viviane companion is a lot closer to being implemented', but do not have a source
If you play on a lower difficulty you might not notice the benefit of things like the Dawnsword especially targeting the weakness of the game's main antagonist and a number of her followers. There's nothing wrong with playing the way you want to play (they put the different modes in for a reason) but you're not exactly making a fair comparison when the game is giving you literally free damage.
Companion submissions have been closed since last November, so even if you had a writer that the devs trusted to write a companion, that ship has long since sailed. Point of fact, there were all of three people remaining on that short list who didn't have one already (because companion submissions were always limited to a select few) within a few months of the deadline Savin imposed, all of those three wrote females and two of the three made it in. Even if Savin changed his mind and let William resume work on their previously planned companion, it wouldn't mean getting a male.
fair enough, tho funnily enough it only seems to boost the companions for me, I still have never done more than 50 damage ever with out rngsus giving me a crit
That is a bit overexxagerated. Only actual demons and kitsune have blight resistance. A fringe case being the elfs during the winter palace quest. Most other enemies have either 0 blight resist or a 75% weakness.
Blight dmg is the most inconsistent of all dmg types, which makes it somewhat situational. Though I have to admit, with the amount of demons we fight from the winter city onward, blight dmg from powers becomes unreliable. Swapping between a blight and non-blight weapon mid-combat can have it's uses.
The corrupted dawnsword certainly synergizes better with my build. Even on dark difficulty the holy damage on the vanilla dawnsword doesn't stack up to the blight damage against everything else. having the Chrys petal in my off-hand and kitsune-bi Kiyoko's debuffs make demons trivial regardless of their blight resistance.

I think that you misunderstand the point that I was trying to make. I'm not implying that trans women, or women with penises shouldn't be represented in this game, they absolutely should. But they're also over-represented in comparison to reality. It would take very little to simply explain why there is such a delta between our world and Savarra.

I have alredy said this in another thread, however as this is a complain i have been instructed to do it here, i have two complains about this games, first of all, the completely disproportionated ratio of male companions, please think of the Gays and Gals that play this game! and my second complain... Is the goddam Bimbo persona, i like horny idiots, but i REALLY need that the Bro persona from the original CoC makes a comeback, i want my male characters to be horny muscleheads, but the closest thing is the bimbo, however there's a big problem with that... nouns, when you get the bimbo persona, you are permanently stuck with femmenine nouns in disregard of your preference or your character actual appearence (is not funny that my character, being a hipermasculine bodybuilder with 2 meters long dual cocks gets called by femenine nouns, like, come on! really?)
Companion submissions are a closed door and they were always based on what the individual authors who were trusted to write one wanted to write, rather than based on any notion of balance.
Non-companion characters catering more to specific tastes can always be written between now and the game being finished, but the more narrow an audience they're written for, the less likely you'll find any of the staff writers interested in doing it and the more it's likely to be something a community writer is going to have to do.

After lurking this thread for a while I think I have a gripe: Does Garth get off on people fucking in his tavern or does he have sound proof walls? So many people (mainly me) clap cheeks daily and he doesnt find it annoying?

It depends on how rowdy the tavern is. If it's loud enough, or the patrons are plastered enough, someone could set off a bomb and no one would notice.
