I have been under the impression that the games lore clarifies that bimbofication doesn't actually reduce your intelligence at all, and that is very strictly how I roleplay my character, I certainly wish the writing wasn't so inconsistent, but that's an obvious side effect of the games design.
It's frustrating, because there is a large chunk of dialogue locked behind the "ditz" perk that I greatly enjoy, in quite a lot of scenes, bimbos get variations where they have higher stamina, better sexual talents, or unique scenes due to their sexual skills. It also changes a lot of flavour text to make your Steele behave in a more feminine, sultry manner (swaying when you walk, giggling instead of chuckling, bending at the waist instead of the knees). I honestly don't mind a valley girl accent either, within reason, as I don't believe an accent is indicative of intellect, nor is sexuality and intelligence somehow diametrically opposed.
Having a lot of content that I enjoy and personify my Steele with locked behind very inconsistent writing about intellect is frustrating, and are very little scenes or dialogue that adknowledges smart bimbos (but weirdly, there are some).
It's also incredibly weird how Bro speech is so often correlated with similar dialogue, despite the fact the game explicitly states it has no impact on intelligence, and at most makes someone more stoic and less conversational. All of the initial transformation and dialogue is completely at odds with how it is used in game.
When in a side story a bimbo does a mathematical equation in her head so she can have sex, and then the game acts so inconsistent on whether bimbos are actually intelligent or not (I can roleplay some dialogue alterations as personality or lack of interest, but not all), it feels off.
The fact that Cumcows temporarily remove the perk also doesn't really make sense, because it removes all of the non intellect related flavour text, and locks you out of scenes involving sexual talent or stamina.
A few months ago, Fen opted to respond to what the Treatment does in, his words, simply as possible.
- Makes you an optimist; galactically considered a cure for depression
- Makes you horny.
- Tanks inhibitions.
- Dials empathy way the fuck up, which couple with being a horny nympho, winds up coaxing you into wanting to get others off.
- Generally makes you come across as less intelligent because you're preoccupied with satisfying everyone than pondering deep thoughts.
- Literally grows the pleasure centers of your brain so you're capable of experiencing more enjoyment than normal people.
It is no secret that TiTS has a lot of muddied waters due to, and I really can't help but sound disparaging here, a lack of communication and quality control in too many of its extant factors coupled with too many writers intent on doing
their thing. Fen is a very inclusive creator, as seen in all the content that you can enable for your PC -- which, subsequently, a lot of it is poorly involved for a whole variety of reasons unique to every case. See: Fuckable Nips/Dicknips/Lipples, Tentacles... there's a lot of superfluous elements in this game.
Everyone's interpretation is... boy, I wish I had Nonesuch's eloquence going this route, but everyone approaches this differently, and it's
loosely tied together by what we all assume to be the case, and those assumptions are continually reinforced without strong guidelines and by simply reading what came before us.
But first, let me explain why the Bimbo part is muddied. You can end up that way from several sources, and some of them are much worse than others. The Treatment, naturally, has the highest chance of turning you into a Ditzy speaker. Dumbfuck is a drug that does some seriously scary stuff, and would be downright frightening in any other environment. In TiTS it follows the theme of "you end up being so stupid and drugged up you just act like a fool and want sex," but the implicit effect of the Treatment is you're not
so far gone, yet they share the exact same result of turning you into a bimbo.
I have always written Bimbos, at the very least, to be extremely open and empathic, very keen on getting dick (and if not, pussy's the next amazing thing), trying to keep in line with the undergirding theme that you have suffered something that, at the end of the day, has scrambled your genome and brain to the edge of known science for the sake of making you an absolute slut. Bros are probably the least explained and understood thing to anyone not Fen, at least that's the idea I get, and I've written for them solely based on what I've seen in other docs, and I interpret them to be Johnny Bravo-esque with the whole New Texas thing going on.
And then you see the issue that comes from that. A New Texas Bull (very much a Bro) sounds much, much different from a man who takes Dumbfuck and turns into... well, who knows?
I seriously try to avoid making Bimbos sound or act blatantly stupid, but we are not writing for anyone's given character, we are writing for Captain Steele, and Captain Steele, generally speaking, after going through these motions to become something like that, has specific mannerisms that we've all sort of silently agreed on. That is, a total love for sex in any form, very little awareness or inhibition, and a carefree and casual disregard for the concept of depravity.
To that extent, for Bianca, it's the mannerisms unique to Bimbo/Bro Steeles that will set her off. That's what her backstory and motivations were tuned to. I can assure you that her character doesn't lock because she considers you stupid, but because of what you become that reminds her of something painful. Those mannerisms remind her of something similar that was an exceedingly awful experience.
edit: As an addendum, coming back to this a bit later, the ultimate point is that your stats are separate from your social alignment. Kind, Mischievous, and Hard are what you can choose from and lean on as a scale of Steele's outlook and perspective. These checks come almost always at the start of any given scene prompted by the player. Bimbo/Bro, aside from the sexual characteristics, are simply overriding personalities, and that's all they should be. That's what I treat them as in all social scenarios.
