I am having a really hard time deciding what to pick up. I've missed out on some great games: Nier Automata, Divinity 2 and Horizon: Zero Dawn. And there is also Kingdom Come Deliverance that I could pick up.
Highly recommend Monster Hunter World. Not gonna lie, it's a pretty big time sink, but you'll enjoy every second of it.
DOS2 have co-op in classic DnD partyI'm a fan of old school rpg's but I fear that when I pick up Divinity Original Sin 2 it will be the same as with Baldurs Gate 2.
KCD, Gothic II, Arx Fatalis - Libertatis, Darkwood, Sunless Sea, Joe Dever's Lone Wolf, Hotline Miami, Myst 1-4, Uru, The Neverhood, Space Rangers HD - A War ApartI am more interested in a good single player solo game that has an awesome story right now.

Go back and play some old games you might not have tried. I know most folks have played Castlevania Symphony of the Night, but the other IGAvania games in the series are just as amazing. Aria of Sorrow, Order of Ecclesia, Circle of the Moon. Recommend trying them out if you haven't played them before. Aria in particular is by far my favourite Castlevania game in the series and a must play for anyone who has ever owned a GBA and/or has any interest in emulation.
If you haven't played it already, Persona 5 is one of the best JRPGs to come out in years and polishes the series formula to a mirror sheen with the most stylish, impeccable UI I've ever seen in a video game. I shit you not, if ever the word "UI Porn" was applicable then Persona 5's UI is the dictionary fucking definition.
I've just read an article about Persona 5 and I'm hooked. Do I need any knowledge about the older Persona Games or can I jump right into it with 5?
Currently focusing on 2 games.
1- Nioh. Finding the game quite fun. Getting the hang of fighting some of the bosses.....they are going to get more difficult though.
2- Digimon Cyber Sleuth. A pretty fun game to play. Some of the cases you getting working as a detective are interesting.
OpFor is the only one that approaches (exceeds, even) the original imo. It was by far my favourite, though the original was amazing too. It also had far better multiplayer.I'm now playing half-life opposing force. It's waaay better then blue shift.
A very rare case where an internet petition showing interest actually did something.thought that digimon game hadn't been brought over to the US.

That said, I'm currently playing through the sequel which recently came over. Both are quite fun, but localization is iffy, and the first game has 6+ unwinnable fights. Nothing beats throwing auto battle on and waiting for some weak ass ultimate to finally kill your party of megas so the plot can continue.
Nope, dlc is just difficult. The demonlords are doable on hard, but Lucemon FM is a major pain. Stupid magical bullshitOP enemy-only skills... The reward isWhich fights? Are they the DLC fights? Those are the only ones I have difficulties with.....well that and the hardest Arena ranking fights. Luckily it's all side content.....would have been quite annoyed if the main quest was as difficult as these hard side bosses/fights.
That seems to be the case. I meant sequel in a meta sense, given the game being the next entry in the series. If you enjoyed the first, you should enjoy the sequel. Besides the obvious more digimon and areas still no MaloMyotismon though *gumble grumble*, there's a new hack "Accelerate" that lets you move 3x normal speed, which is incredibly convenient. There's also some carry-over bonuses if you cleared the first one. The exclusive pre-order digimon from the first game are also no longer locked if they were before. And I really need to get the sequel of Digimon: Cyber Sleuth. Just waiting for the game to become cheaper.
Although from the summary I thought it was a parallel story, not a sequel?
