I think it's less of a "what pcs should and shouldn't be allowed to tf themselves to" problem and more of a quality control problem. I'm not saying that any of the writing or scenes or anything that has made it into the game is bad mind you, but from what I can tell there isn't really any sort of pressure to for scenes to be as mindful as possible of the full range of variance in pcs. Though obviously limiting the former reduces the problems of the latter.
I wish there was some way for my character to sympathize with Embry or Kaede or Lerris about being trans.
I've said pretty much since TiTS was first brainstormed that that range of variance is too big, and that's what's causing your quality control problem. Since the PC can be virtually any shape, most writers don't even try to account for things like height or weight - it makes any sex scene interminable and tedious to complete. PCs shouldn't be allowed to be ten feet tall because really, what is that doing except making every interaction ridiculous unless it's accounted for in every other sentence? It should only be a thing in a game where size discrepancy and growth are the major fetishes in play.
You cut things like that out and you're in a position to be stricter with your writers about accomodating the eroticism you have chosen to be the focus. Fen games will always be frustrating this way until he himself acknowledges letting players be four foot tall centaurs with ten feet long dicks might make character creation fun but the sex identikit.
Yeah, that's a pretty fair assessment. Too much freedom in a game with sex mechanics that have no hope of fully covering given the content creation system. I mean it's not to say that you couldn't make a game like what TiTS is supposed to be, but as far as I can tell it would require much more in the way of reliable writers and a permanent editor whose job it was to beat writers over the head with a checklist of variation.
