..........that's a fair assumption to make, but I can't see that as a strong enough argument that could be made for this case. In my vanilla experience playing through CoCII, outside of save editing you can't ever really be "overpowered". I can see how strong the perk could potentially make some late game warrior builds by letting them use stats from 2 two-handed/non-light weapons, but even then the enemies we'll be facing by the time we can even use this 9th lvl perk will more than be able to handle said stat combination. Many of the better 2H unique weapons have a negative stat to counter how effective they perform, the stat tank from two weapons could in itself prevent any build from being too strong, it'd either require a attribute or equipment change to compensate preventing any one stat from ever being too too high.Your guess is as good as mine, but the most likely answer is just balancing reasons.
If need be, I will gladly code it myself I'd be more than happy to. But I'm not just talking about two-handed weapons here. Like @Shrike675 mentioned, warriors being able to monkey grip would let them use any weapon in either weapon hand slot, so you do two shields, two quarterstaffs, two non-light one-handers.2handed weapons are balanced with the assumption they will occupy both hand slots.
Also, it may or may not be a pain to code.
IDK about the first part, but… the elves would likely have severe “issues” with you trying to pull the second one.A way to get the quest Wayfort Renovations (and, later, Wayfort Upgrades) if you didn't:
- Keep Farrah or Jael'yn at the wayfort
- Accept the barony from the elves
You already can get both from Farrah or Jael'yn even without accepting the elves offer.IDK about the first part, but… the elves would likely have severe “issues” with you trying to pull the second one.
"This really isn't necessary, Father," Kinu says. "I am well aware of the Wayfort. I sometimes meet passing traders and some of your guardsman to barter for feeding. In disguise, of course."You know…I think I would like to bring my kids for a visit in the wayfort. On my main char, bring Kinu to see that her father actually has a job or something.
I'd just like some generic scenes we can repeat when feeling like it now and then with the whole den, both during their time in the Orb and after. The fact your other children are just an after thought is kind of annoying. I understand it with most of the other characters you can have children with because... they are babies, can't do much with those kids. But with Kiyoko's they are already grown up to an extent. You know…I think I would like to bring my kids for a visit in the wayfort. Hirrud is already such a bitch that turning him into a bimbo actually makes him more masculine. So with Hirrud female being added... Fucking him as a dude, when?
To be honest, while Kinu has some daddy issues with us, from what little we barely see of the others... really not sure they actually like us... like at all.I'd just like some generic scenes we can repeat when feeling like it now and then with the whole den, both during their time in the Orb and after. See, I on the other hand (which means this only applies to me), have never gotten that impression. Nothing she said ever led me to think she didn't like Champ or even love Champ. I just never got that. If she did say something mean or bad, I can't really give it much weight to all the other interactions, I'd have to assume it was a one-off writing discrepancy. I have Hime Kinu on my main and the other on my dark knight, but while one dislikes her mother a bit more, I never correlated any of that to Champ. To be honest, while Kinu has some daddy issues with us, from what little we barely see of the others... really not sure they actually like us... like at all.
... Mind, can't really blame them. We've barely even "acknowledged their existence" a day of their lives.
This is what I think too. I've never seen anything in her interactions that implies she's got an issue with us - if anything I think it's the opposite, she often seems to seek the attention of the Champ when you interact with her exclusively. I too have Hime Kinu on my current playthrough.See, I on the other hand (which means this only applies to me), have never gotten that impression. I also have Hime, in my eyes it’s just a matter of trying not to alienate us and she is choosing her words.[snip]. I have Hime Kinu on my main and the other on my dark knight, but while one dislikes her mother a bit more, I never correlated any of that to Champ.
Yes, she does. It’s just that is not the same thing as having no lingering feelings over our long absence. Kiyoko even brings it up in towards the end of the Winter Wolf quest.See, I on the other hand (which means this only applies to me), have never gotten that impression. I mean, lets show poor Tobs some mercy. If they wrote interactions for all the kids, they'd be writing that content until they drop. Kiyoko wants that big family after all. XDYes, she does. That being said, the ones I was talking about seeming to not like us all that much, were all our and Kiyoko's other kids… not that we even “interact” with them all that much. Which itself likely plays a rather big role in said feelings.
Eh, “all” of them would be overkill, but there’s like 3-5 other named ones we can’t even interact with ourselves.I mean, lets show poor Tobs some mercy. If they wrote interactions for all the kids, they'd be writing that content until they drop. Kiyoko wants that big family after all. XD
That’d be Asagiri, a timid girl that has been known to disappear if you’re not looking for her due to her low presence. “Morning mist” or Asagiri fits nicely. Still I need to headpat her![snip] one of our daughters was hurt bad enough in the attack on the den to get a change in career paths, and… yelp, that’s the last we need hear of her.
We kinda come off as a really freaking detached parent to all but our eldest fox kid.

Hell, people constantly complain about not getting so much as a heads up to Kinu engagement, but… IIRC one of our daughters was hurt bad enough in the attack on the den to get a change in career paths, and… yelp, that’s the last we need hear of her.

I can get behind an expansion on the Champ's Kitsune family - and giving at least the eldest children more depth. Perhaps less so in the Dream, as that's supposed to be Kinu's formative stuff - like shaping her adult personality, choosing her weapon, etc. But definitely after the release - perhaps frame each to have different outlooks on their "father" - I could imagine Aya harboring resentment towards the champ, Asagiri could be feeling neglected and just wants them to see and acknowledge her - interact with her, like the champ did/does with Kinu. While Tatsumi could present an awkward nature towards them, that uncertainty of how to interact with someone you know you're supposed to have some connection to, but don't know how to bridge the divide between. That’d be Asagiri, a timid girl that has been known to disappear if you’re not looking for her due to her low presence. “Morning mist” or Asagiri fits nicely. And yes I know most of the names children, Aya, the second born, Tatsumi, our first son, and Asagiri the third daughter. Wish we could interact more with them.
She does as a summon iircAbout kitsune, I was thinking...
That's not really important, but since some companions get mechanical bonuses from the narrative, why not? And getting those tails is as much or more effort as gaining those items for Cait and Ryn.
- Cait and Ryn receive stat bonuses from quest items or some encounters.
- Could Kiyoko gain bonuses based on the number of tails she has? For example, for every tail beyond four, she could gain +X Spellpower? (x being 1 or 2, probably)
