Hm... I'm not sure if current released version is before or after magic refactoring... If after, Whitefire detection is broken there and only Foxfire would work.
What? It's just Foxfire is so much better, it can even burn through gamebreaking bugs!

Yeah keep trying find that final push to do those edits and send it to the higher powers for review and then make ghastly berries if all goes well. Anyway since tanuki got their spot as starting race why their space neibours can;t? It jsut so plain rude to not yet have chance to start as half-Sionach 
Sionach is space kitsunes that was made for TITS by QB/LD ages ago and since that time almost forgoten. They pretty much normal fox-morphs with up to 9 tails. Only 'mystical' parts about them is effect of special gas that special organ in their body produce. As this gas mostly can be only released duiring breathing or by tips of their tails in both cases it will glow (gas). Also Sionach eyes usualy got color similar to the one color that gas they produce have.
If you look for Hulio Alley thread somewhere in submissions in intro scene there is a female Sionach showing almost all possible ways to use that glow effect.

Except oviposition, horns, prehensile cocks and I'm not sure if codex mentions fur.
Well they couldn't be space kitsunes without some changes from typical version of kitsunes. Would look at sionach codex to see that part about fur.
That intro from my subm I wrote while having opened sionach codex on other window so it pretty much covered all distinctive points of this race.

Ah, but see, that's your opinion. If I see Space-[whatever] I assume it's [whatever] in space with little deviation. When it comes to something nonspecific, like jellyfish, Mass Effect Hanar are Space-Jellyfish, but for it to be something specific, like a kitsune, it'd have to be no more than an anthropomorphized fox with up to nine tails and at most one difference. Kui-Tan being Space-Tanuki and only thing different/unique is penis is a key example. Anything deviating from a specific creature is then [whatever]-like. Sionach, kitsune-like. Gryvain, dragon-like. Etc. We just liberally call them space-[whatever] because they are the only thing so far.
And this is even only form thing. Kitsune is not just some fox with nine tails. They have a lot of lore behind. And that lore is very important part for those who appreciates the content, not only form.
Simplicity...it hard to decide if slapping obligatory dick on tanuki or dragons will make them space tanuki or space dragons.
Some would be content if space [race name] would be jsut it fantasy version that is found in space on some spaceship. Other would cry if ti not some mutated colse to abdomination it's not space version of some fantasy race.
Only humanity seems doing well as either race in fantasy of space settings. So many other races got trouble to fit perfectly at the same time in those two settings.
So Karr here is on side of almsot not changed races that was sent on spaceships when Etis want them been quite heavy changed. And I actualy throw away those both pov and just picking races I like...so that said I like Sionach but Gryvain or those Uveto kitsune race...ugh nope no matter how I look at them I can't find too many things I like in them and would really want to have some dragon and kitsune space version more to my liking.

I don't like the very concept of "alien" races being just rubber faces from old B movies.
Short story been sad at the same time: it's exactly as Fen doing all "alien" races in TiTS with all of them been humans in rubber costumes. I do too wish to see more or truly alien-like races but...biggest issue would be it's porn game so the question would be: how the fuck I FUCK with that thing after fight? ^^
And that reminds me one of I think cut scene from JimT writing about seeing our PC father been really "alien" looking.
S'why my own designs are quite animalistic. Only thing I have close to human is a gryphon-like people that just so happen to be upright bipedal.
Make more enemies humans or ex-humans? Stargate-style setting, where many worlds are populated by descendants of one race, oftenly altered by some means, something like "they are results of galactic-sized experiment on improving humanity", and only some of them are truly alien.
One thing I really like in Flexible Survival - they've managed to create setting where you can fit in any weirdshit and it won't feel wrong.
If we try imagine that warpgates are gigantig stargates...errr wait in later episodes of SG-1 series there was super stargates created by Ori. Yeah so we got Super Stargates system. Humanity and barely different from humans races meet at each planet. Yup it almost like home for SG fan here ^^
SG was good series to watch sadly it ended and maybe only some of it spinoffs still ongoing :/
If Fen would manage to do similar thing as in FS (ofc with his typical Fentwist) it would be amazing. Hopefully he would amaze us after story will extend to new MQ planets/new high lvl side planets.
