He slowly lets out the breath he had been holding, and crawls away from the room, before quickly hurrying up the stairs.
Slowly making his way up the tower, the floors began to blend together after a while, a seemingly endless jumble of hallways, and sleeping chambers, it wasn't until he managed to reach the last few levels that they began to become a little more unique.
As Lazarus pushed the door open, the acrid scent of chemicals assaulted his nose. The entire level that he was on seemed to be a single large room, with a multitude of tables and workstations scattered around it. Every flat surface in the massive chamber was jammed full of vials, and beakers, many with candles, and other small flames keeping their contents hot. Piles of books and notes were also stacked haphazardly around the room; mostly on the floor.
Flitting about were half a dozen glimmerlings, just like Eleanor, wearing lab coats that were clearly several sizes too small for them. Each of the little women were apparently working on several projects at once, as they flew between tables, adjusting the bubbling concoctions as they went. Fortunately, they all seemed quite absorbed in their work, and hadn't noticed Lazarus yet.

He groans slightly and covers his nose, wincing at the strong smell that assaulted his nostrils. Once he notices the glimmerlings, he immediately ducks behind a table, before looking for a way past them while they were distracted.

While the glimmerlings didn't seem to intent on paying attention to their surroundings, the sheer number of them practically ensured that, if he tried to sneak past, at least one of then would spot him. If he wanted to get past, he would have to create some sort of distraction.
Well... In a lab full of potions, it should be easy enough to create a distraction. He grabs two or three random bottles of liquid off the shelves, before mixing them together to see what happens.
"Uh oh. Looks like it's time to haul ass..." He mutters, before quickly tossing the bottle right into the middle of the room.
The green smoke billowed out into the open air, filling a fair amount of the lab, and enveloping the glimmerlings. High pitched shrieks of alarm rang out as they flew here, there, and into each other while trying to find the source of the smoke.
Time to haul ass.
He quickly runs to the other end of the room, where the door was, and running through it, before slamming it shut and locking it behind him.

Lazarus breathed a sigh of relief. That's when he noticed the smell. A musty, rank odor that he recognized as the smell of troll.
A low growl rumbled through the room, and Lazarus slowly turned around to find that this floor of the tower was largely empty; save for a pile of rough bedding, and the hulking form rousing itself from it. The beast's pebbly skin was a dark grey in color, and strained against the corded muscles underneath it. It walked on it's knuckles, like an ape, but still stood a full twenty feet tall, almost bumping its head on the ceiling above it. The worst part of it all was it's head; a bulbous, misshapen thing with no ears, a long hooked nose, and yellow tusks that protruded from a prominent underbite. This was a mountain troll.

"Okay that could work..." He mutters, quickly running over to the nearest pillar and standing in front of it. "Come on you little bastard. Come at me..." He growls.
"Come on, come oooon..." He mutters, waiting for the troll to pick up speed, before jumping out of the way so he smashes into the pillar.

He grunts with pain as he bounces off it, before shaking his head and turning to face the troll again. "Oi! Over here, you ugly fat stinky fuck!" He yells.
He walks over, and quickly smashes down the staff on its head as hard as he can, confirming its death, before turning and looking around for the stairwell.
