I actually meant that Mallach sings a song to try to cheer up Nareva, but since he's probably being crushed by her tail, he's not doing very well, since to sing you kind of need air! and Keros offers to do a little revenge against the champion if that makes Nareva feel better, like putting Itching powder on the underwear of the person who hurt our friend!

There are some time-jumps, but replying to a post, on-topic, after less than two weeks is hardly necromancy.
Especially since a new round of discussion started after it.
Yeah it is not really meant to be entirely serious comments though the context of the OP post has became hardly relevant for newer discussion is the part that makes me crack a bit.

Why would I hate fluff balls with body pillows as tails. wwww

I used to really liek Kitsunes, but Observe cured me of that.
This helped me appreceate Fox-morphs more. And Shifters from Eberron.
I now fulfill my fox-fetish with girls who are foxier. =P

But seriously, it is the culture clash and their weird nature that is a bit offputting.
The true nature of their "god" was the final nail for me, though.

Depends I guess. Those elements can be interesting to some, myself included. Turns out subjective opinion is subjective! What a shock!

I am used that my "subjective opinion" is actually a fact, though reality gets it wrong sometimes.. =P

Seriously though, I want to note that I did not say that I find them uninteresting.
But that has nothing to do with "like" or "dislike". I would not care for them, thus unable to truly dislike them, if I would not find them interesting.

I have a strong opinion of them, because I looked forward to them and found them interesting. I just disliked certain attributes of them, their attitudes and some ..implications I saw. Thus my (and my characters) reactions to them tends to be rather negative nowadays.
If I would not care, it would be positiv, because I have a fox fetish that came from seeing too many kitsunes and reading fun fox-themed stories. =P

You are right about technically "like" and "dislike" both are a different response from "interesting". Still they are all, one form of subjective opinion. Those are unquantifiable emotional responses.

These fluf balls are the only source of weeaboo material we have in the game! So, as long as I can drown in Mofu Mofu and wear a Ō-yoroi wielding a Ōdachi, I don't care that they call me a foreign demon or dirty gaijin! (even because the foxes that really matter, make it a point to show us how much we are appreciated!)

it's 4e d&d with a level cap of 10
but that takes all the fun out of level grinding (and quests and combat by extension)
it's why jrgps are much more fun level caps of 99 and above

the gods of Savarra that we have met so far are quite pleasant!
eh cthulu is still much better and more powerful and until we get a molag bal equivalent my champion will continue to be a faithless heathen

That's the point, yes. We don't want to encourage grinding.
never stopped me before, won't stop me now:cool:

also you could of just went for the starbound method and had no levels at all, instead padding the game with armor and weapon crafting systems very irl :oops:considering humans didn't out muscle elephants they simply built better weapons and elephant hunting equipment

starbound relies on the ores tho which can be found on worlds that are (almost 100%) deadly by themselves without proper upgrades (acidic rains are fun) also i am afraid that if such logic was applied enemies like zil couldn't do basically anything against you (arrows are almost useless against chainmail+plate armor combo prolly even less against modern and futuristic eq in tits) , thoughts on that?

1 this is in reference to coc2 not tits
2 coc2 only seems to have bronze age tech tree or equivalent so any tech above that would most likely be experimental crafting on the part of the champion's intellect
That said certain enemies having shit tech trees is very realistic when you consider that armor is expensive and quality armor even more so
Also static difficulty helps as well (i.e a mountain lion is still a mountain lion whether you have a gun or not)

Why would I want to do that though.
sorry about the late reply had to go to work
but i believe leveling in any story based rpg is usually padding if that clarifies things
ya know needing to get on the dungeon/bosses level and what not, all the while the story just grinds to a halt for the player character even in time sensitive events
(example: someone gets kidnapped by the bad guy and is now held hostage in the depths of the local coal mine but you can't get there because all the encounters are to high level so you have to leave town to go grind)
which is why i always grind first and do quests second
(lol 3 ingame months passed before i decided to deal with the orc camp)

I mean the orc dungeon can be and considering the fact Arona who you get after is level 3 should be done on level 3 which you will hit before you can get there without grinding. Really unless you want all companions to be on max level so far there is zero grinding needed in the game. It is basically impossible to get to any of the bosses underleveled even if you kinda avoid combat. One exception to that is the alraune who you can theoretically get to on level one and even then she is beatable on level one, hard but beatable.

well then why even have levels to begin with if the training wheels are that good:p
seriously tho as said further up i grind out of habit/tradition from lots of rpg playing more than anything else whether needed or not
plus i like grinding for the sheer fun of it. i just zen out grinding for hours at a time:oops:

also if anyone is interested checkout shadiversity why levels are stupid he has a pretty good argument on the subject he also made his own roleplay system called cogent roleplay which has no levels

i'd also recommend age of decadence if anyone is looking for an anti-grind game where defeating the common back alley mugger is a challenge worthy of song, hell defeating a gang of con artists while wearing power armor is also a challenge in that game

become a legendary super slut!
To win this title, you need to beat T. Eccentrica Gallumbits, the 3-breasted whore from Eroticon VI! For you to have a notion of what you are going to fight, see the report of one of our experts!
Some people say her erogenous zones start some four miles from her actual body. Me, I disagree, I say five. ”
—Ford Prefect to Arthur Dent about Gallumbits
Unfortunately, it was not possible to attach a photo of her, since her image is considered to be excessively pornographic in almost all media known to man, and some by monkeys!

Honestly, I do dislike the kitsune more and more as the game goes on, but it's less because of their attitude and more because of how bloated they are.

Back when the sum total of our kitsune interaction was a lone waifu who gave us fun sex-dreams, a cute daughteru, some neat romantic interactions and an extra summon, I was good with it. Now we've got that, plus a main quest dungeon, plus multiple sidequests, plus two wandering enemies, plus a whole navigable multistory treehouse of like a dozen named and portraited NPCs (all of whom are assholes, with the sole exception of Kohaku), each with excessive reams of their own exposition about the kitsunes' very important and super tragic and totally relevant culture/history/religion/alcoholism, and also our daughteru underwent a mandatory offscreen timeskip and gets mad that we were a deadbeat timeskip dad and ends up with some rando hitherto-unseen boyfriend. And I'm expected to care about... all of this.

At this point, I care so little about such a large and aggressive chunk of the game that the last time I started a new character I literally just left Kiyoko's necklace where it was. She was the only good thing about them, but I ditched her because she's a gateway to so much horseshit. Dealt with the foxes the bare minimum possible, tapped through their woe-is-me weebery, headed back to Lady Evergreen and never spoke to any of them again. I hope to god the kitsune aren't getting any more content, because they already feel like a tumour.
