Neither Vi or V-KO are giving me the option to...

...teach the gray goo armor to heal. The only thing I can think of is that with this PC I've never used healing...maybe if I take my shield off and go get hurt?

I think you need to talk to her in the ship while having 10 vials of Gray Goo microbots (IDK if it also requires you to be injured), which will consume the microbots but unlock healing options; the V-Ko/Vi option merely improves her healing capabilities.

The advanced healing is the one you need to go to vko about, but the regular healing is needed first.
