0.9.12 Save data corruption/server error when loading save files

Several of my save-game instances have been corrupted, or at least are unable to be loaded at all. The first time it happened was at the tail-end of the Tychris questline in 0.9.2, replaying through the coastlands now in 0.9.12 it happened again when trying to reload a save before the stone titan fight.
Playing on Linux Mint 21.3, Proton stable.
Can't seem to open the dev console with F12.

Loading a stable save then trying to load the corrupted save from 0.9.2 results in a server error, trying to move afterwards causes this critical error:

Loading either from the title screen results in just a server error.
