Though on the forums she seems to get alot of hate from most even going so far as to call her a mary sue which I think just isn't fair. Personally I think she's sexy, sassy, and heroic. I'm not sure how to react to this thread:

• I know if I come down harsh, I'm going to be accused of favoritism or whatever, but at the same time, I kind of hate how this thread was treated.

At worst, it's needlessly antagonistic. At best, it's impolite. Now, if it's a general discussion thread about that character, sure.
  

I also have a couple points I'd like to toss out here:

• "Literal rapist' - this one has the barest of roots in her original content. One of her initial notes was that she "steals cargoes and virginities", and wasn't averse to claiming husbands' and wives' backdoors on her way out. Savin took that to be wayyy more hardcore than I initially meant it. I always kind of figured that if she ever got rapey with someone on the job, it would be either be a sort of ironic vigilante justice (butt-fucking a known sex-slaver, for example), or because of mutual attraction/arousal (perhaps with a bit of encouraging teasing). So when Savin wrote a story with our OC's fucking, it wound up being a lot more rapey than I otherwise would've imagined it. Of course, it was Savin writing it, so it was still a damned enjoyable read. Of course I didn't complain. I suppose I should've realized it would be rolled into canon and color people's perception of her, but I have a hard time being a content nazi outside of the main game. (Though I did just reject an idea for an alien luchadore.)

I Like Kiro, Why? I liked her romance that you can have with her and the big thing is, she may very well be the embodiment of Fens love for this whole game. Listen I can understand the distaste she can give off on some people you may not just like her but hey what are you gonna do.

But still, Kiro's design notes say:

Considering Kiro had virtually no content at the time (December 2013), meaning those notes were all I had to go on, I think that paints a pretty clear picture of Kiro's behavior. You read the story, and you've had more than two years to say "Hey that seems really out of character for Kiro (even though you helped design her and all), please fix."


But I'll reiterate that I don't think it's out of character for her. Kiro doesn't exactly have a lot... or any... interaction outside the PC and chilling at a bar. Nowhere does she go into anything about being a vigilante butt-pirate or something; she just takes selfies of people wrapped on her dick and staples their panties to a wall. But I also don't think Kiro's scene in TR was that much more extreme than several non-con scenes in TiTS or CoC, and considering the Bad Shittm that happens in the setting to people all the time, including people running around with brain-melting Badgerfication rayguns and shooting strangers and then immediately raping them, I don't think judging Kiro as an outstanding PoS on the content of that scene is really justified.


Yeah, Kiro's not a good guy. She's not meant to be. She's a morally grey thief and butt-plunderer. That's what she is. That's what she is, and I think to a lot of people that's an enjoyable read. As OP clearly indicates.

I really like Kiro. She is boastful in an amusing way, boisterous, playful and a lot of fun in the sack. She obviously cares about PC, especially after the trust is built, and no matter how troperrific the way she opens up to them is, it just works. Every interaction Kiro actually has in-game is consensual and fun for all parties.
