Eh, dodge tanks live and die depending on how good dodge is in the game in question.

I've gotten like 80+% dodge chance and some attacks still get me. Yes, I'll admit I'll always run on Dark difficulty, but still.

Idk, it's a difficult balance to achieve.
Probably your getting hard hitted by spell attacks mostly.

Yeah, that's the big problem with dodge tanking in coc2. Its got like 4 evasion stats, so there's usually at least something that'll be able to hit you

me new forum-ing. usually play tits since the old .swf. water taste coc2 only every now and then. prefers space stuff, so more playtime on tits. i was saving up curiousity to run a longer play on coc2. that day is recently.
first of all, blame this on me. i play both latest stuff, on the only machine i have around. was never a gamer, so, no decent pc. what i have instead, an old asus notebook aged decade ago. worse than a potato. despite that, both browser and portable game runs okay. i mean, text game wont demand much benchmark, no? hence why im a fan of this fine project. im still tits-ing on it and never miss a patch.
tits was always snappy specially after toggle off all the animations. what catch me off guard recently, is coc2. this one doesnt fares well. it was... very slow. i have no other words.
i make a new character. the first time player control is given (cait and i leave tavern), theres like a processing(?) delay before i can do any action... about 5 second unresponsive window per action. and it persist through the entire play. with exception for no delay on selecting items in menus or inventory and when advancing scenes [[edit] and combat. combat is still playable]. i can make the delay gone tho, if i move in quick successions. delays back when i let controls sit still.
now i know, im sure its my potato slab (slow and crumply old cpu). since i can experience faster play on better device such as the android version. in fact, i never noticed the delay before this as i test play coc2 on the phone first hand. all is good there.
so. on my expired, outdated computer, comparatively, tits for some reason, somehow, runs way way faster, to the point that sometimes i cause critical error from spamming inputs faster than the buttons appears, ngl. so naturally, i kinda expected coc2 to be as snappy. but...
what happens there? im honestly still introducing myself to coc2 world, so i have no nitty gritty for ingame content. but, can i complain for this?
im not sure if its something we can fix (easy fix is a new device, i know). but i just wanna get this out of my mind. tldr: in a worse than potato laptop, coc2 is running kinda slow while tits are significantly much smoother.

Scaldic Cadence and Frostwarden are two stances that do near identical things. According to the wiki, here's what each do.
Scaldic CadenceFrostwarden
On Use: Generate +[30 + 3 * Presence] ThreatGenerate +[10 + 5 * Willpower] Threat per turn & +50% Threat
+[13 * (Sexi DmgAmp)] Armor, Ward, & Focus+50 Armor, Ward, & Focus
Primary Weapon deals an additional [20 * (Sexi DmgAmp)] Storm DamagePrimary Weapon deals an additional [20 * (Splpow DmgAmp)] Frost Damage

For threat generation, Frostwarden scales better and will generate more threat when you have more than 10 Willpower.
For defenses, Frostwarden's static +50 to Armor, Ward, and Focus is superior to Scaldic Cadence scaling defenses. If we wanted Scaldic Cadence to match Frostwarden in defense, we would need 385 Sexiness.
For weapon buff, on stance start they do identical damage with the only difference being damage type. However, Scaldic Cadence's weapon buff will change if your stats change, like getting a Blessing buff, while Frostwarden's weapon buff is calculated based on your spellpower on stance start.

From this comparison, my main issue is Scaldic Cadence's poor defense scaling. The high sexiness to match Frostwarden's defenses, something that takes no stat investments or setup, isn't feasible to maintain in regular gameplay. To close the gap, I'd like to see Scaldic Cadence give +[26 * (Sexi DmgAmp)] Armor, Ward, & Focus which would make it so you'd need 192 Sexiness to get +50 to those stats.

Also, addressing the elephant in the room, Scaldic Cadence is a level 4 power whereas Frostwarden is a level 8 power. I can see the argument that it makes sense for a higher level power to be a straight upgrade to a lower level power. This is true for Heal and Great Heal, Cleave and Whirlwhind, etc. But I see Frostwarden as more of an upgrade to Earthward, which only gives +50 to defenses, and Scaldic Cadence as a parallel power instead since it scales off different stats.

I would have assumed they would both scale off stats at stance start, like charge weapon. Interesting that scaldic doesn't tbh

Sorry if I made things confusing, Scaldic Cadence's weapon buff does scale it's damage like Charge Weapon. It's Frostwarden thats the odd one out, since it only considers your stats when you start the stance. I've reported it as a bug since it's the only stance with a weapon buff that acts like that.

To be a proper tank, you need threat generation and durability, both of which a tank Charmer has shortcomings with.

From my experience, a tank Charmer’s unique playstyle is to give out buffs to the party such as Blessing, Song of Storms, etc. to increase their DPS while you focus on soaking up enemy attacks. The main flaw in this playstyle is that buff powers don’t typically generate threat, so you’ll have a difficult time maintaining the enemy’s attention while your party is hitting for big numbers.

To fix this, I’d like Expert Inspiration to take a page from Healer’s Hands and grant an additional effect when wearing heavy armor that gives you +(20+Presence) Threat whenever you grant a buff. The guy in big armor shouting commands and making everyone around them stronger would be the biggest threat even if they haven’t attacked yet.

The next problem is durability. Warrior has damage resistance and passive healing, White Mage gets a fat HP boost and has other perks that proc self heals. The only durability the Charmer gets from its perks is the +20 Evasion from Mutual Inspiration which doesn’t help much when you’re trotting around in heavy armor. This becomes more of an issue as you get to high level areas that have enemies that can ignore armor and use high damage ultimate powers, especially on dark difficulty.

If we want tank Charmer to survive there like Warrior and White Mage can, then Charmer needs to get some survivability baked into its perks. My suggestion would be having Mutual Inspiration grant an alternative buff if you’re wearing heavy armor that would replace the +20 Accuracy, Evasion, and Initiative parts of the Inspirational buff with something like +20 Damage Resistance and Prone/Stun Immunity. You are an unyielding beacon of inspiration for your party of course. If the damage resistance seems too much, then maybe 20% self heal whenever you apply a buff? Regardless, tank Charmer needs some staying power to fulfill their role.

Even if it’s not the changes I suggested here, I do hope we see some reworks for tank Charmer in the future.
How about using buffs that make the team more durable/survivable? Shielding Smite can help your champion tank better and help protect your teammates from stray attacks and lasts 2 out of 3 turns. Sorran Chant's a party heal that provides a party wide weapon buff. Both also damage/heal so should help generate threat unlike running something like Blessing (Which you can probably outsource to Etheryn).
