I feel like taking away elf ears for cat ears just makes it a cat girl - Elf ears are like the defining trait. I get it for RP purposes, but at that point you could prob just save editFucking Cat Ears as the Mark of the WYLD, all those useless options and you gotta be a knife ear? its not even that hard, put it in the next public update.
Why would you even want to be an elf if you don't want to be an elf? If you want to be a catfolk, just play as a catfolk. If you just want the willpower boost then, well, I do think that the bonus stats should be disconnected from race entirely. Even though you can relatively quickly TF out of whatever your starting race is, I don't like that it makes you pick specific races just to have slightly better stat distributions.Fucking Cat Ears as the Mark of the WYLD, all those useless options and you gotta be a knife ear? its not even that hard, put it in the next public update.
To be honest, I feel like race attribute should give a choice - Each race already previously had three relevant attributes, just let us choose one of the three at character creation. It would give us a little flexibility. Why would you even want to be an elf if you don't want to be an elf? If you want to be a catfolk, just play as a catfolk. A lot of CoC2 in design and decisions is trying to make sure that race and transformatives are separate from gameplay capability (aside from soulbinds, because they're major decisions). They did things like make it so that what stats you can level up are no longer tied to your current race, and remove the tail whack power despite it being functionally useless anyways. So it's pretty weird that still just have this, even if you aren't actually pressured to stay with your starting race.

Your starting stats are really not that important.male
so cat man
but the stats, as a new fist playthrough as a spellblade, I earlier played str based, I see elf as necessary. It also has a lot of options unlike other races, so adding in cat ears shouldnt be a problem.
and you have to tf out of a catfolk with a root of man x turgid mush to get rid of yur wierd cat dick, dont want a cat dick.
a +3 to one stat when starting a new playthrough makes a huge difference. W not so much but Agi and pres made a big impact early on. And they both got nerfed.Your starting stats are really not that important.
ohh... maybe it could be a Savant perk? Cunning can only be set to the base amount per level and bonus points can't be set to it, but your willpower and agility will contribute to your crit chance and crit effectiveness - agility will handle weapon/melee/ranged based crit chance and effectiveness and willpower will handle spell crit chance and effectiveness.I wish we oculd have high cunning for crit stuff but without it changing our personality
Not sure if its just because super tired but I'm not sure I understand what you're saying hereohh... maybe it could be a Savant perk? Some games have a Savant perk (like the Fallout series) basically it provides you a similar affect to whatever the "intelligence" stat is without putting points into said stat. Similar to the affect of real world savant syndrome. In this case, you would sacrifice being able to use Cunning outside of the minimum amount you can get per level, but are able to get the crit aspects through another stat or some similar effect. Not sure if its just because super tired but I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here
