I don't like how wearing the witch set if you're character is male transforms you into a woman. Like, I can understand what they were going for with it, but still... If I wanted to make my character a witch boy, I should have the option to.
I think the transformation is one-time, so if you wear it then use transformatives to undo the changes you can be fine.

I believe the transformation is tied specifically to the corset. As long as you don't put that piece on, you can wear the hat, gloves, and boots just fine and still retain your boyish good looks.
Transformation caused by the Witch Set only occurs when all pieces (including a flame cape... literally can be any flame cape) are equipped. I think the game looks to see you equipped everything and if yes, triggers the transformation. So you can have all the unique pieces equipped, but as long as you never equip a flame cape at the same time, it won't activate.

I think from what I recall, it activate the transformation if you equip the corset and you have all pieces of the set. It auto-equips everything along with the corset if you put the corset on, and the items are in your inventory. So if you just put the flame cape in your chest, or you sell it, and then equip the corset, no transformation occurs, but otherwise, just having them in your inventory when equipping the corset will trigger it.
