There's also, y'know, the sex demon who wants to do to the entire world what she already did to the kingdom, and the mess up in the glacial rift that rather directly impacts her kingdom's interests. In fact, if you take her to the Abyssal Depths and the RNG favors you by procing all her content, the entire thing serves as a very useful lesson for her.
Ryn is going to fall hard for the Champion regardless of whether you as a player want them to return her feelings. Being the person who saved her from the aforementioned sex demon and helped give her the confidence to do something about her sister will do that sort of thing, y'know.
Evelyn has a special scene for penis virgins, including a variant for if it's too small to interest her. Carmen might have some virginity-themed content whenever she gets expanded on.

This is an understandable thing to come to mind in our modern era of ceremonial heads of state and command by telephone, radio, and Zoom call, but I think that Ryn's behavior is a) perfectly normal and appropriate for a ruler in her position and b) perfectly normal and appropriate for her character.
Unless you never let Etheryn out of your party - and hell's bells, even I don't have Ryn in my party full time - she is in the Winter City doing just those things. In fact, with Hethia's (re)introduction, the Festivus Ball, the Wayfort investiture, and Elyon's Wyld Hunt, she's shown getting quite involved in city affairs. And there may be more such events planned; this is, after all, an unfinished game.
Furthermore, like Wolfram says, Ryn just had to free the city from a demon invasion, and the demons are still out there beyond the walls. There is also the succession crisis constituted by Alissa, which you mention. And this is the Bronze Age, an era in which monarchs were warriors-leaders first and managers second (if ever); it's entirely appropriate for someone like Elthara and her budding palace bureaucracy to ensure the smooth conduct of affairs while the queen/princess regent goes off to win a civil war and prevent the apocalypse. Sure, Ryn could theoretically just wave her hand and say "bring me my crown, Champion". Or she could buttress her legitimacy as a new ruler and take it herself - giving herself the, mmm, means to secure the elven succession in the process. Which of those things is Etheryn var Ridell, escape artist and battle princess, more likely to want to do?
Finally, remember: this game canonically takes place over a couple of months, no matter what the day counter looks like. (Spending centuries to have tens of thousands of kits with Kiyoko is something that you can do, because we want people to be able to enjoy their pregnancy fetish content if they so choose, but it is not something that the game will ever acknowledge as happening beyond each individual kit's birth scene.) Etheryn riding off to save the world for several weeks is...actually pretty normal for a monarch on military campaign. It's just happily convenient that her [etheryn.fucked|dearest love|closest friend] is there with her.
And all this is for high-Confidence Ryn, who both knows the right decision to take and possesses the agency to take it. Low-Confidence Ryn will gallivant all over the place as the Champion's personal [pc.hasRealCock|cocksleeve|tongue-slut] whether it's a good idea or not.
You don't have to fuck her. Give her hugs, support her in conversations, and buy her a dildo/tell her to get it on with Cait and Arona to alleviate her blue balls. She'll still care for you deeply - even love you - but as a friend.
I think that the only content for high-Con Ryn that assumes you're emotionally involved without having fucked is Will's surprise hug scene, and that might end up getting gated by sex at some point.
It's just a game. It doesn't matter if Ryn is with us and not play pretend at being the queen.

People take games to seriously, it really has no impact on our play if Ryn is shit at being queen or if she prefers to hang out with us. You could say why do we allow Kiyoko, Brienne and Arona with us if they're pregnant? It's the exact same thing, it doesn't matter.

Because those babies are gonna need training. The earlier the better. They also get EXP in the womb so they'll be born a higher level. That's why Kinu struggles so much. She couldn't absorb the experience in utero so now she's lagging behind in level and is poorly optimized.
I think Alissa has set the bar so low that the only way Ryn can fuck up worse to intentionally destroy the city and poison the water supply and salt the earth.

As for my actual gripes for the game, there are only 3:
1. The lack of corruption content, gameplay or fetish-wise.
2. The level cap being 10. (I don't expect this to be changed but it still kinda sucks)

It's not a major gripe and I'm not sure if I've got all three games mixed up (definitely know CoC character does and I think TiTs maybe?) but some characters will fuck MC up the ass and refuses to do MC vaginally but willing to fuck a NPC in the vagina though.
Armor and accessories, for the most part. You can currently get two magic focused armor sets, and one of them forcibly feminizes you Most magic accessories you can get atm are expensive while also pretty underwhelming; a good chunk of them is locked behind interacting with Keros's spawn. By contrast we get quite a few mage weapons and off-hand catalyst options.
This makes sense for a still low-level leg of the main campaign taking place in remote relatively less developed region of the world. When the Champ will eventually get to Tychris there should be more intact magic knowledge and magic practitioners around, which in combination with famed craftsmen should mean a ton more mage-specific and other enchanted gear available for purchace. Combined with whatever spoils of war we will pick up after tussling with more sophisticated demons, we should end up in a good place gear-wise.

As Savin said quite some time ago, it's as much Steele as Syri. She'd be entirely happy to start a family with you but neither of your situations is exactly conducive to that at the moment. Hence it's either your ass or a condom. Lacking the emotional attachment to Myrra, it's just not as big an issue.
But when the game is done, my headcanon (with some help from a suggestion by Alypia) is a double wedding between Steele/Syri and Anno/Kaede, with much cuddling and kissing and knotting in the honeymoon suite to follow. And puppies ever after. Which isn't too different from my headcanon ending with Champ/Ryn once all's said and done, come to think of it.
That's not really headcanon though Savin confirmed multiple times that Anno and Kaede will marry each other and Steele will be able to marry all three of them in one wedding.
