Yeah, threat on the enemy's team is generally completely pointless

So, I don't think I want or need to change that on normal difficulty -- most players play with little blood availible for their thinkmeats, so the combat being relatively easy is intended, especially if you're using options that make it easier like manual control -- but you two have inspired me to start thinking up some revised Threat mechanics that would only exist in Dark Mode. Enemies with yellow/green threat getting a scaling dodge bonus to represent them being better protected is my current thought on the matter, but I'll keep talking it over with the team. More ways to make Dark Mode more challenging aside from just ~number go up~ would be good.

For a change, I would love if libido didn't affect any combat stats

Then it wouldn't do anything. Corruption is largely cosmetic; Libido is meant to be the crunchy side of that. You're right; you should keep it lower (there's a sweet spot where it's nothing BUT positive). That's the point.

Do all the scenes that have high Libido as their requirement have those requirements fall into that sweet spot or below, then? And are there unlikely to be scenes that require sex addict levels of Libido, aside from maybe Bad Ends?

The outlined potential Dark Mode changes to the way Threat works sound neat. I for one can definitely live with the default difficulty of the game being on the easier side as long as the hard mode is satisfyingly crunchy.

You know the point of this thread is for criticism, that's fine. Calling all the devs dumb and all the players dumb, though, is over the line. Goodbye.
As usual all of the mechanics are terrible and overcomplicated. Levels, stats, the way combat flows, etc.. I'd say something about amateur hour except honestly there's games made by theoretical professionals that play even worse, so... And, of course, in either case the designers always assume "No, it's not that I don't know what I'm doing, it's just that the players are dumb." Very possible, but if so you're the one making the game that only dumb people play. Maybe you're also dumb.

I'm just thinking about the "physical resistance" stat. The notion being that it lets you ignore certain status effects. Well, healing is easy enough in this game that unless the enemy one-shots you, HP damage alone probably isn't a threat. So either the enemy has to target resolve, which is basically an entirely separate minigame that has no connection to the hp game, or they have to use crippling status effects. If the player could actually increase physical resistance enough to matter, then it would shut off one entire way for enemies to be threatening. So you can't let the player get high enough physical resistance to do anything because it would upset the game balance. So you have an entire mechanic that can't be allowed to work as intended because it would break the game. Evasion or whatever you want to call it is another big one in video games. If the player could actually build their character in a way to reliably avoid being hit, then you don't have much of a game left. So you can't allow the player to ever raise their evasion high enough to matter. If the player can't rely on evasion to work, then why bother with it. You might as well have not put it in your game in the first place, except you think you're so clever and you don't want to admit that you didn't think that hard about it and you don't want to spend the time and energy it would take to actually build it out as a full-fledged thing, with perks and traits and items and enemies and weapons and spells that interact with it to give the player meaningful tactical decisions.

I'm sure it's very frustrating that your life's work is just a Flash game porn parody of Final Fantasy focused on furries and explicit descriptions of very strange oversized dicks, and you want to feel like "No, actually, it's a real video game, just look at all the numbers and rules and things I made up for it!" but you people (the devs) need to chill out. The relatively simplistic gameplay in the first Corruption of Champions was obviously good enough.

Ryn spent much of her childhood reading and studying, and will happily lore dump all kinds of elfshit on you if you ask, or if you have her in the party in the Frostwood, or if [redacted].

The fact that Cait in full Scholarship Mode blows off Ryn's attempts to explain the history of some ruins in favor of looking at them herself still makes me sad. Cait, you may be really sweet with Ryn when it comes to her sexual issues but you're kind of a blockhead when it comes to some other things...

Cait has Eros down pat. Storge seems strong. However, her Phillia and Agape needs some work.

Most of our Companions are capital N nerds. Cait is a nerd whose lust for knowledge and adventure outweighted even her lust for regular and heart boners.

Berwyn is a grumpy but lovable magic nerd who needs his own shonen spin-off someday.

Ryn and Atugia are both adorable and sheltered nerds who used books to escape their isolation as well as decades of abuse for one and centuries of boredom for the other.

Quinn is a borderline case, more of a trickster and artist than he is a scholar, buy by the metric of the setting, he is definitely a nerd as well.

Though Kyoko holds the title of the queen nerd in our party, with bonus points for being as syudious as she is refined and classy - whenever she isn't being playful and slutty. And she then pops out Kinu who is so freaking smart it gives both her parents a pause.

Yeah, but we want to fuck a giant floating brain.

I get that it's a joke, but I am actually curious if we can ever get sexy versions of something as alien-looking as that. Like sexy versions of beholders and mind-flayers that would be close in appearance to those monsters but modified in order to cut down gory details and ramp up the sexy.
I.e. will submissions that feature creatures like that be shoot-down on account of not being in-line with the game's aesthetic.

Some countermeasure for enemies that can Disarmed you
When you are a character focused on the physical and your weapon is disabled, you become the little whore of the group just being a punching bag by pressing the defend button unless you have Lightning Fist that you have to wait 4 turns

Could we have an At-Will for fighters equivalent to the black magician's Withering Bolt but without the need for a weapon?

I feel like update direction is random. What i mean is, for example, centaur village, added and left empty for months and I hear you are preparing mino city, then new bee companion(not yet added) and hive quest, and now new story char. It looks like you are all over the place or in other words you start a lot but ending drags on. I understand that parts of game have theirs own authors, some of them are staff some are just one time submission for CoC2, so parts of game won't be developed in the same time but still it is annyoing . I would like to see more linear progress on game. I'm assuming that the most time-consuming thing is writing. If coding is the problem, i would suggest developing some automatic code generators (at least for scenes it should be possible). Submission structure looks good for that. I did something like that for projects in C++ and PHP they saved a lot of time in the long run.

Meta blue balling, i hate it, what i mean by it is Elthara teasing possible pregnancy (in scene that is), Gytha repeatable encounters (not implemented from may. I think I saw, under some patch notes, comment from staff member that they are almost done for repeating scene long time ago, but it might by mine imagination) teasing knotting and pregnancy, patch notes that says something is almost ready but then silence for example patch 3.16 "Azyrran’s companion content has been finished...".

Please please get rid of the storage limit, 30 just isn't enough to handle all the uniques you guys throw at us. Like by the time we get the next +10 for the chest, I feel we'll have another 20 rare items that we can't so easily part with.
I have never understood why storage limits are considered part of game balance. Personal inventory, sure, can't shove the world in our pocket, but storage? If I want to hoard every single worthless Cackle Berry I found while playing the game, why can't I have room for it all along with my armory of Unique weapons that I'll never use but you never know what'll come in handy down the road? It doesn't break game balance. I don't get bonuses to Sexiness or Health because I have 36 Double Peppers back at the Frost Hound.

EDIT: This goes for any game, really, not just FenGames.

It's already at 40, not 30. Garth, Wayfort, Senja: three upgrades, not two.

We are (at least I am) asking for no limits full stop.

My only real gripes with the game consist of 2 things

1) Too many characters I wanna marry but can't
2) I remain painfully blue-balled by the incomplete status of Ahmri's storyline

While I know time will fix #2, I must come to terms with the fact that I probably won't have the ultimate polyamorous harem I so dearly desire.

I know it is your game, your rules. But I was just saying. No need to be so aggressive.
Isn't this thread for that? For users to post their gripes.

I meant without having to have sex with her.
I tried but Savin said no.
Quinn is a borderline case, more of a trickster and artist than he is a scholar, buy by the metric of the setting, he is definitely a nerd as well.
I’ll have you know that Quin(fixed for you) is definitely a scholar by Mage fiat.

I need to strongly agree with this post.

Need more storage space, even if its in the form of additional storage locations outside of the inn or at least further extra storage containers to be purchased with all the cash you end up with.

Masturbation (especially milking) still causes your character to immediately sleep when they do it. But of course, that's been talked about before (I remember in this forum, probably in this thread, it being said by Savin that he was thinking of removing the sleep-on-masturbation). I do think it's ridiculous that your pc does this every time and I especially think this for milking (while Brint can milk you if you're going along with the prompt and "relieving the pressure," Brienne does not seem to have a scene for milking you and as such you're pretty much forced to use the masturbation menu option if you don't have Brint), but it's not too much of a hassle since (outside of the aforementioned milking) there's plenty of ways to get your character to be relieved beyond that menu.

A bigger gripe for me, currently, is that there are several things where a full day passes and sleep is implied or even stated but your character does not sleep. Things like training (all 3 kinds), along with events like Brint/Brienne's holiday present, take a full day to do and have you waking up in the morning, but you both do not gain the class benefits from sleep and do not have dreams. The unfortunate part of that is that also means you don't get to see Kiyoko when you sleep if you've not freed her from the orb already, along with the lack of the class buffs if you don't immediately sleep again (though admittedly they are rather limited). Luckily the masturbation thing does let you have dreams and counts as actual sleep, but I just don't like how many things that involve sleep don't actually have the pc sleep.

Also it's rather annoying how the training seems to take much longer than a day. Like, my character wakes up at 8:06 AM on day 84, begins attribute training at 8:12 (since 6 minutes pass in-menu), and then suddenly it's 6 AM on day 86. What happened to day 85? That's not a day passing, that's just shy of two days.

What I missed even though it’s still in development is alternative events. Let’s say you can legitimately Defeat Kassyra at Winter City.Kill the Queen and Unborn Imps. CoC is text game primarily so events like would also impact corruption since its a morally grey area to Kill Etheryn big Sister and her Unborn Imps. Text based game like this needs some serious choices with consequences like CYOA or Jumpchain. Because it would create more storyline scenes and publicity for the game since it most players would have a different play through making a great new game + opportunities

Yeahhhhhh, that ain't happening. You can defeat Kas at Winter City in theory and all that happens is she'll call you a cheat and then the plot moves on. Given that she's the primary antagonist, you can't have a story where you actually defeat her at that point because that would require writing entirely new paths for the second and third acts. Likewise there are clearly plans of some sort for Alissa which would be completely be derailed if you could do something to her at that the very start of her plot. Since that plot is tied into the fact that post-WC Ryn is the regent rather than the queen it would require rewriting whatever is being planned for that plot thread in the future as well. There's 'meaningful choices' and then there's 'triple (or more) the writers' workload unnecessarily'.
