I don't do it often, and when I've done it it's been rather small. Ausars should feel extra loved by Bianca.
Most of the events don't have it, which I find a bit unfortunate since a lot of the content have the NPC speaking about certain Specie's while Steele's specie is ignored.
For example, Kiro and Kally's first meeting and talk about Galotians.
Many of the Laquine's also speak as if a Laquine Steele isn't a Laquine.

The only enemy that I can think of that has a blurb for looking like them is the rask males. Other than that nada.
When I reference the PC's race it's usually to just call them specific names. Fen wrote Bored Jumpers and their 69 loss scene nods at laquine PCs, just 6 words.
I always try to include a little bit more, but I won't door wedge these things in there. I tend to focus on races that appeal to me and pet their ears. Rat's Raiders, also. If you're a mouse they immediately call you out as not being in their crew. And hey, I just had a scene implemented where F. SecOp can bully mouse PCs exclusively!

I'll do it a lot more in CoC2 since there are readily available parsers for it. Per my Kunoichi there's a lot of checks for Lupines and, of course, when the PC can be a Kitsune in the future.
