Will we ever actually be able to get the Kiha Corp. Tsundere AI?

There can only be one. AI, I mean. It's kind of hard to design a follower so integral to everything (specifically the ship and crucial ship operations). Takes just as long to code as well. That's why So will probably be the first but even then she's a long ways away.
Not that I don't want a Kiha AI too, though. As long as it's Classical Tsundere and not Modern Tsundere. The latter is when she's fucking bipolar and unrealistically changes personalities within minutes.
Personally, I'm hoping the Codex AI, Ship AI, and Armor AI (if someone every finishes an armor project) will all be one and the same. I mean, I guess we could have three different AI followers, but it simply isn't going to happen.

So three types of AI: codex, ship, armor and already 2 ai's in form of So and Bess. What category each of them would fit? Bess for armor and So for ship so...we will need just codex ai to complete holy trinity?
I'd say four types: Codex, Ship, Armor, and Android. Codex/Ship might could be blended into one type, depending.
Eventually I'll get around to writing Space Gargoyle Armor ;-;. One Day.

Nah I just meant like AI's that are to be integrated into other systems, like the three I mentioned. Bess would be the fourth type you said; Android. Not that she's any less good a character though, of course.

Lol, there isn't no giant moon shaped thing to turn organics into synths, though if anyone in chat got stuck on a soap opera radio channel when they screamed too much I would be worried!

Effectively identical to Codex AIs in terms of requirement/complexity. Any AI companion you tote around with you, really.
Heh, I still remember the super-early TiTS idea for a gun that thought you handling it was super erotic.
Kinda reminds me of the gun from Borderlands that chastises you whenever you fire the gun or kill someone.
@Savin: I'd say a Weapon AI would be more similar to an Armor AI than the Codex AI. Functionally I mean.
Toting around three AIs (Weapon, Armor, and Codex) wouldn't work though, because after a while you'd realize none of them are acknowledging the others' existences.

Personally I'd prefer to have one A.I. cover the first two (or maybe three) types, kinda like Kaede's Athena or Saendra's Valeria when they appear as their ship's A.I. and other systems

I get the concerns over writing in a whole mess of AIs and then not having them able to acknowledge other AI that are present, which is... valid, I guess. Would it be possible to have some kind of AI storage system aboard Steele's ship where you can select which AI if any to bring with you into the field or run the ship's systems? Even being able to jack into the goo armor and swap them in for Nova? I dunno. I view the AI as more of a personality suite than something that is hard-wired into a particular piece of gear. Especially for Tech Specialist Steeles.
