It's kinda funny that you complain about orcs being rapists when the MC is exactly the same if we win fights..

Pretty sure most enemies submit to you after they lose, I think there may only be a couple of enemies where it could be considered rape by the MC.

I can't speak for everybody but I tend avoid doing after combat sex for that reason. Except with the drider queen (who really needs to chill) and the Hellhound that one time I played a herm (who also coincidentally needs to chill and can chill). Of course not taking the option doesn't mean it doesn't exist. But unless there's clear consent, I don't pick the majority of victory sex options. So the MC doesn't have to be the same.

Well that, and Ninian's a tiny flying pixie whose only real combat ability is using greater heal. So kinda hitting the "hard no" requirements only.
True. But on the other hand, Ninian's kit can easily be reworked into a useful one. Status effects and heals are always welcome, though to need truly effective the former would need to be more powerful than most such abilities are atm. Throw in some resolve damage, and we have a pretty decent all-rounder.

Obviously, it didn't happen, and I imagine Ninian's size is beyond the range acceptable for companions. But I would have really liked to have a companion like him, cause he is plenty fun.

Plus he would help create a more thorough Black Swordsman expy character. :smuggo:

Maybe fun to watch enemies one-shot him with a rolled up magazine.

I don't think even Guts likes being Guts though.

On one hand, he did get regularly mugged by birds before you help him out. But on the other, if we train him a little he could be given the Evasion equivalent of the obscene AC and Reflex save that pixies and fairies tend to have in D&D or Pathfinder, plus some nifty spell resistances.

True that. Smutty!Guts would need to be quite different to work in a story of game with such a different overall tone (despite stuff like Gweyr occasionally cropping up).

But I would have still liked even the surface level simile: a huge grim dude, tough on the outside, kind on the inside, with a fuckoff huge sword and a pixie comic relief companion.

I mean, I think it's up to everyone, but I never got to use a winning scene, def not my thing, even when the loser is "begging" for it. Those Orcs, at least the ones on Arona's camp are rapists and slavers. And Arona likes it a lot, even on the first meeting was already trying to rape and enslave my PC. So, yea, all I wanted was an option to kill them, but in this game, raping is ok, killing is not, unless in very specific cases. this is one thing I actually never understood. Like, I never got high corruption, but I think not even high corruption champions can kill if they want to, can they?

The drawback of RPGS is that in order for the story to proceed, there are inevitable presuppositions of the main character. In coC, the protagonists are inevitably as casual as the locals about sex (both consensual and non-consensual). And troubling some players for rp.

I still miss some of the characters in CoC.. Cotton was great and I liked Urta, her quest for her fertility was interesting.. would be fun if some of the NPCs in CoC2 could have quests like Urta did, where we play them.. like in Gweyr's flashback.

So basically, the only change would be those sequences not being Flashbacks, with their outcomes changing the game state? Granted, it is a meaningful change that will definitely up the stakes for those quests.

All the sexy possibilities provided by a solidly defined protagonist are a plus as well. Like having more sex scenes involving unusual body parts, non-biped genital configurations and drastic body changed. We can finally shove an ovipositor up someone else's butt, or play as Ninian and experience some more pronounced size difference content from the other side of things.

It's weird how ethical standards change when it's a fantasy setting.

In real life, if someone tries to beat you up so they can rape you, it's still absolutely not OK to take their money or rape them if you win the fight.

In this setting? Most things you meet in the wild are rapey. Presumably, everyone gets raped multiple times on each trip from one settlement to another. At this point, rape is probably considered rude or annoying? Enough that if someone tries to rape you it's not considered particularly inappropriate to rape them right back. Slaver orcs would probably be considered super evil, but rapey orcs would probably just be considered assholes.

Pretty screwed up, but that's kind of what the culture would be like in a world like this.

I know, right? In real life, I would never lick someone's dark star. But in CoC2, I love licking Ryn's ass till the cows come home.

... Meaning Brienne...

And then...

Seriously though, it depends on the framing and situation. Like the difference between sparring in martial arts and assault are, in a sense, technicalities. Both can look pretty similar.

In my head, the fighting part is more of an elaborate foreplay. People don't try to truly hurt each other. Thats why my champion can flaunt until people can't take it any more.

But this is in some cases a charade. It works well in the old forest. But the enemies in harvest valley kinda cross a line. Just as you can cross a line, and sparring turns into actual assault.

Speaking of killing, I find it strange that we can kill tainted centaurs but let the cultists and demons go. Racism toward centaurs, shame on you! (Just kidding.)

It just makes me a little frustrated, we defeat our enemies over and over again just to let them get back to their business when we're gone. I feel bad for my main PC, who tries her best to fight corruption, and every time gets a mockery in the form of de facto immortal enemies.

I realize this is a porn game (plus it's also a fantasy), but we can kill centaurs, imps (and they are sentient beings too, Zetaz says hi) and certain characters, so I think about it from time to time.

Because you only kill the centaur leader who is too far gone into the corruption, and imps, they've no soul and only know to corrupt so killing them makes sense. I think the cultists cant be killed cause no matter the background the PC seems to be against killing normal people.

I'm for all killing off everyone.. but hey we still need NPCs around otherwise it will be one dull game with only the MC alive.

Seems killing is just a way to stop corruption. All the one can be killed is tainted, and who have lost their mind need to be destroyed.

Also pretty sure the only culists you can still encounter post act 1 are the river crossing ones, wonder why it wasnt removed, I think they are now all mostly holed up on that place where a certain bitch might be.

I'm amazed that that particular group hasn't been upgraded to demonized cultists.

But imps are never ending.. they just keep on coming.
For now.

Not to diss anyone but I honestly think they either forgot their there, or just keeping them there for the transformative stuff they do.

Exactly! If we intend to stop the corruption but are limited to the quasi-batman method of "I don't kill you because that would make me as bad as you, so lets just rape you instead" only for their business to return to usual, then why even bother giving us the option to kill in the first place? Like cmon, its doom slayer not doom layer, although then again its just a porn game so the latter might be more accurate :V

My character wish list right now is "More Kohaku". That's it.

EDIT: Oh, fine. That's not technically a list.

1. More Kohaku.
2. Some more Kohaku.
3. Even more Kohaku.
4. More Marked Merk girls (Lus and Jen).

There probably will be more Kohaku stuff down the line, chances are there getting content by popularity. At least thats what I as a player assume and not a writer.

If nothing else, we'll probably get more not-Kohaku-really-but-she-sounds-really-cute-and-smart-Xjya like Ambra as more big cities open up. I don't know if we'll make it to Tronarii (maybe as part of the Marked Merks arc?), but she mentions making routine trips there and to Tychris, which I believe is in the plans.
...
Damn it, I missed an opportunity to put "More Ambra" on my list.

90% of the time the answer to "Why doesn't X stop Y combat encounter?" is simply that there's nothing to replace it with. We did pacifying/removing combat encounters a lot early on and quickly realized it made the zones feel incredibly small and sparse as you could get from one end to the other without any combat.

It's still not where we want it to be as far as frequency of combat encounters but we have an idea or 2 on how to fix it that might make it into the game before the end of the year.

The only place i'd want to have that done anyway is the old forest, after everything is said and done there is only like 2 combat encounters, and Kuro and Hatsu will make sure you know there still out there between said fights lol.
