What did you name your character?

Sorry to bring everyone’s attention away from DOOM Guy as funny as that was but I wanted to share my CoC2 Champ.

I haven’t committed to a character yet but once the first combat area comes out I will. I tried every race and class but the character that I’m the most fond of that I might end up using once we can finally leave town is... Remus the Lupine Warrior/Hunter, I’m sure a lot of you will get where that name came from.

It’s from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher’s name was Remus Lupin he was a Werewolf.

Guess you never read Harry Potter or watched the movies. Don’t worry I’m not calling you out on it, just telling you where it’s from.

Yeah but.. wouldn't a mage be a more apt... thing for a wizard?

Or a druid, at least? See I'm tellin ya team, we need a druid/shaman nature mage kinda thing somewhere in here. I dunno, maybe blue mage/warrior hybrid will be enough in the right direction.

When I played Ultima Online a billion years ago I saw people naming their characters Raistlin and classed them as warriors and rogues. It might be a bit obscure and old hat but naming your character after a famous character and totally making them the wrong class is a bit of a tradition when it comes to online games. :p

Lexi, the amazonian Orc barbarian. I based her on a character from a Pathfinder game set in the Elder Scrolls universe. She was a scrappy 13 year old Orc that left her Orc hold to make her own destiny. With all the gate opening and dimension hopping, this could just be a continuation of her adventures.

I used to go all out in creating names for my hero in COC...

But now I just lazily put down my own name, now. I can't be bothered firing up the old brain-o anymore to come up with fantasy names.

I gotta say though, it really raises the stakes when my ass is literally on the line! :D

Heinrich, the Lupine Warrior who's time in the wilds has made him a cunning hunter. If possible at some point he'll likely dabble in magic to better augment his fighting, hunting down those that would harm him and those he holds dear.

edit: Probably got a little too into that, sorry.

Jo, a female human white mage hailing from a small tribe of hunters. She's coarse and practical, a little like a young Bones from Trek, the tough-doc archetype. I'd love if she could get a chance to tinker with engineering skills but I suspect that technological aptitude isn't going to be a focus in this game. (Maybe a good excuse to linger around the minotaurs eventually, though.........)

So far, having two white mages in one party is amazing. I love the dual-healing and white-fire action.

Naw man, character design is the shit. I love watching this thread and seeing where the starting point is for all sorts of different characters. It's inspiration, and if nothing else it's a curious case study on people.

Hm. Actually I haven't settled on a name yet. What could I call a trap willing to blow up everyone with magic at the slightest provocation?

Oh. I know. Kuja.

I've played through all Fenoxo's games with both a male and female character. Just to explore the content in more depth and from different gender perspectives. My usual naming scheme is Azar for male characters and Myra for female characters (more recently I started calling my female characters Isuyah).

When I play as a male character, I usually tend to lean towards thief/rogue/archer classes or melee classes if there are any. When doing a female playthrough I almost always choose a mage/magician/witch or occasionally charmer/temptress class.

In CoC2, my initial/first character was Myra (F), Black Mage, Arcanist, and my 2nd character was Azar (M) Thief, Hunter.

Shima the female catfolk white mage, with a nasty habit of blasting the battlefield with wind as if it wasn't cold enough, bless her layers of coats. An adventurer with a penchant for scholarly pursuit, she's more excited about riddles, legends and traps than treasures. Those she hoards anyway.

In a fit of creativity I named my orc "Bork," although he's a soldier instead of a barbarian, so I cleverly subverted that at least a little bit, or maybe not. Depends on your point of view*. Then there's my wyld elf black mage, whom** I've named Dougie.

* (In my point of view, the Jedi are evil.)
** (It is "whom" and not "who", right?)

For CoC, TiTS, FoE, and CoC2 I basically have 5 templates.

Dulcinea - Smart and reserved, very magey, except in TiTs where she is a tech specialist. In CoC2 she's starting out as a human white mage, and I'm going to try and make her into a kirin type creature with a mix of dragon and deer TFs if they are available. Waiting on some more in depth lore on the gods of this world to determine which one she's an acolyte to.

Haruki - Is meant to embody the spirit of the game, and always has some kind of background as a prostitute or concubine, and tries to go full tease combat. In CoC2 he's a winged wyld elf Charmer with a courtesan background. I'm hoping we see a lot of colorful plant and anemone TFs for him.

Tinuviel - She's kind of a cold fish, and makes the not so nice decisions. In CoC2 she starts as a catgirl thief/hunter, and I'm hoping to make her into a sort of wolpertinger thing.

Simon - Usually starts as just a "dude warrior mantm" though this time he starts as a lupine warrior/soldier. Not sure what I'd like to morph him into yet. Also in TiTS his name was changed to Morgan, because Simon Steele just doesn't have a nice ring to it.

Felix - He actually tends to get some sort odd lower body, in CoC he was a naga, and in TiTS he's a taur, but that isn't going to be a thing in CoC2, so I'm still thinking of what he's going to be. Maybe some kind of old school Celtic malicious fae. He's starting out as an orcish black mage arcanist.

I named mine Mira (short for Miranda) after being dared to make something the exact opposite of my usual self fulfillment characters, namely fair golden skin, black eyes, and black hair. I ended up with a dark skinned, hazel eyed, and black haired result.

Koi Hamasaki, a charming orc scion with delusions of grandeur and a diet of everything that makes her bigger. She typically helps out whoever she can but if no such option is apparent, she either walks off if it's a dude or sticks her dick in if it's a chick. She started with black hair, golden eyes, a curvy build, FF cups, and eight feet to her height, but by the end of this little journey she's gonna be something unmirrored.

Morgan, Male Lupine, Thief, Courtesan.
BACK STORY: Being born in the poverty of belharan city slums and surving childhood alone is a daunting task. And what you do when even as a grown-up you end up being skinny and even slightly feminine? With hardly any coin no skills and only ownership of your own body there aren't many actual employment options, neither there were for Morgan. Lucky for him the world of prostitution always had demand for a certain types of service providers and he was in demand, until one day a certain thief woman took interest of him for more than his appearance and skills in pleasing wealthy. I will not embark on the long tale of young foolish lad falling for a steel eyed woman "even though she did use that whip quite masterfully" but suffice to say that was how his involvement with criminal world started. As for how he ended up being in the Hollow Marches? All i can tell you is that a job went awry and somebody needed to take the heat from others. Make no mistake, that choice wasn't forced on him, he wanted to protect his new family and the only way would be to go far from them for a time. For those who say " There is no honour among thieves! " the pup sure had some guts with how he left the city and ended up being the Champion of the Frost Marches.
