Also, a little funny thing about Embry transitioning is that the total cost for it is about equal or a little lower compared to Pussybloom iirc. So... yeah. That's some real targeted medicine right there!
The total cost of Embry's transition (not including what she's already gone through when Steele first meets her) is 15k; Pussybloom has a base price of 13k, which with Sera's 20% markup brings the cost to 15,600 credits. She also gets a lot more from her treatments than Pussybloom would give if it worked on her; in addition to the vagina, she gets +3 to breast size, +4 to butt size, +8 to hip size, +1 to lip mod, Femininity to max, Tone to min and either -1 to cock length or removal of her male genitals entirely.
Even when comparing it to the cheaper feminising TFs, that's a good deal; it would take 6 Tittyblossom and 14 Estrobloom (total cost: 14.4k base, 17,280 w/ markup) to get as many of those effects as possible with perfect RNG, and even then she'd have to settle for keeping her cock the same (she'd prefer to lose it entirely and only keeps it if Steele wants her to) and having 30 Tone. So, in terms of cost to reach her goal, she's actually quite lucky.

I also find it quite ironic that Bess angsts about not being able to change her skin tone because it marks her as a synthetic... when her closest equivalents from KihaCorp (the company she's been programmed to hate) can freely change their skin tone between 32 billion colours (according to Gianna).

So Bess isn't worth picking up? I only occasionally if I remember, interact with Bess.. I kinda forget she exists even after digging her up and thankfully I used the cheat to have unlimited crew number.

My guess would be that the gene mod that Embry uses relies on power and had less R&D costs because they are targeted towards one species unlike Pussybloom which is compatible with the vast majority of species and required more rigorous testing

Not really tbh. Bess/n is in such a bubble (Then again most crew members are, but JimT's characters especially have this problem) that frankly if you're not interacting with them they have no use. Better to sell the thing and at least get some money out of the exchange.

I always liked interacting with Bess/Ben, but I never progressed the questline to the point where dates would happen, particularly because it takes 34.5 days in total to reach that point, if you trigger every event the exact moment it becomes available. That said, hearing about a weird random completely out of tone scene where everyone looks at you and starts gibbering racist nonsense, especially considering the Codex entry for AI, kinda ruins it.

In regards to A.I. (Grown), which appears to be what Bess/Ben are, given their ability to feel, the entry says that the only controversial part is the process of creating grown a.i., as it's based in brain scans taken by infants without ability to consent, and the processes by which these grown ai get modified to fit what the programmer desires smell to people of brainwashing. However, that is the only controversy in regards to grown ai mentioned in the codex, and it's also said to only be held in "some circles," while "A.I.-Gs are beloved parts of many communities" due to their sentience. The majority of people consider them to be people, and they have legal rights and protections in UGC lands, although most places don't have their destruction legally considered to be murder yet.

Very conspicuously absent from that is any mention of robot racism. Well, there's stuff about V.I.s and Designed A.I.s because those display no emotional capabilities. V.I.s are absolutely not considered people due to their simplicity, and Designed A.I.s are at the center of debate about personhood because they have intelligence but no emotions, but "The same need not be said for grown intelligences" due to their emotions and personalities.

Sure, the codex entries don't necessarily determine everything, but based on it, it seems that there'd only be this robo-racism if Bess/Ben was a Designed A.I., incapable of feeling or even displaying much personality beyond purely reasoned statements, or a V.I., literally incapable of thought. But Bess/Ben is not either of those, based on their personality and thoughts and distress.

If "frequently interacted with" were the only requirement for me to recruit and keep crewmembers, I'd probably have less crew than the fingers on one hand. I just flat out gave up and used the clowncar cheat.

Nowadays for me to not recruit someone, or to recruit but keep them off the ship, I have to actively dislike the character. And that's rare. Bess is certainly not on that list.

I only recruit the ladies, only one not sexable to my Steele is Ramis but I allow her aboard because I like the night time event with her.

Actually Bess/n is a programmed AI. Gianna and Olympia are Grown type.

Actually Bess/n is a programmed AI. Gianna and Olympia are Grown type.
Their proposed solution was the creation of the universe’s first truly empathic coded A.I., breaking down the barriers between Coded and Grown A.I.s. They saw it as a way of getting all the benefits of an empathic consciousness without the hassles of copying and growing it in a simulator. It was also a way to steal away customers of both KihaCorp’s coded and grown A.I. units.

With this in mind, the Mood Articulate Intelligence Android, or Maia Series, was conceived.
Huh. So they are. The only designed A.I.s which also have emotions, I guess. It may make sense for the weird booing thing, since the codex entry I saw that in (The MAIA Series AI entry) also says that Bess/Ben model androids with a.i.s got discontinued and recalled, and modern sales of the Bess/Ben model use V.I.s instead, so to normal people, Bess/Ben androids would be seen as most likely using being the V.I. version which are non-sentient sexbots. I've still not seen the scene in question, but going off the codex entry, it could be seen as a weird thing to most people.

Enough ragging on Jim's stuff and back to the topic of things we'd like to see in game, it's especially unbecoming when he isn't even here to defend his author choices.

Given Paragon's affiliation with Carver Consolidated and their rather authoritarian way of doing things it would be fun if Cuz gets convicted for breaking and entering on private property, chained up, "processed" and sold as Carver is wont to do, if you drag your feet too long in following their trail. I think I would like to see that.

Well yes, but actually no. We've had no word of TiTs nearing its climax and with cuz Jill/Jack out of the picture there's suddenly room for a new. more menacing and dangerously competent foe to enter the scene. Either Max himself, another of Vic's bastards (since we know from experience the probes work for them) or, and I'm just spitballing here, throw a zinger our way with our new nemesis being our Cousin's new owner... a direct consequence of your own tardiness. (and quite possibly spite.)

OOPS.

Well, I think that a looooooong time ago it was said that TiTS would have 4 story planets (probe planets), plus an unnamed quantity of extra planets. With Dhaal we're already up to four, with the fourth one being largely incomplete.

It seems that there's, talk of also including Vesperia (the planet under Canadia station), dunno if it'd be a story planet or an extra planet like Uveto.

That 4 planet limit might have indeed changed, because it's been a LONG time since I saw any staff talk about that specifically.

Fairly certain it's been said that the planned level limit will be 20, so given that we're about halfway through and at level 10, there'll probably be a few more probe locations.

The plans were for ten story planets, with an unspecified (and likely unfixed) number of side locations like New Texas and Uveto that don't count towards those ten. I think Tainted Space is supposed to start around planet 7; Dhaal is planet 5 (after Mhen'ga, Tarkus, Myrellion and Zheng Shi). I doubt Canadia will be one of those ten, as it's well within Core space.

Much better to get more current info.

We're a quite a ways off from the end then.

When it comes to Jack and Jill, I think a lot of people want to see them put through the karmic ringer for everything they do either being a shitty cousin, a shitty boss, or generally just a shitty person overall and I'll concede, I feel a little bit of that too hence what I said earlier.

When it comes down to it though I remember that some of Victor's last words to their kid was to try and not hate them, which I try to adhere by whenever I interact with them.

Keep an eye on your Uncle Max and his spawn: they’ll try to worm their way into your inheritance if you aren’t careful. Just try not to hate them, especially the kids. You’d be pretty messed up if your daddy was a petty, scheming, back-stabbing bastard, too. Well, more so than I am, anyway! Hahaha.

Take care, kiddo.
-Dad
Plus ignoring your Dad's last words to you and as I mentioned before making yourself a bigger, badder enemy in the doing is a nice payoff for this message.

My crew also consist of mainly ladies with the only male member being Kase and that's not even by choice but rather the lack there of. I'd like to have more boys on my ship but outside of Kase I don't even know if there are recruitable male crewmates.

Which is why had my Steele compliment Jill on her mods and dance a bit with her. Until she runs away and/or gets absconded.

Though If I could I'd have Steele wrangle Feruze's contract out of her hands.

I'll top any offer my cousin can make, after all I'm not living of my daddy's money, plenty of sex to on my ship because I don't have a stick up my ass. :catte: :smuggo:
Is what anyone wanting to buy off Jill/Jack's mercs, would say.

Those pods are still gonna be on probably hostile planets if all the others are anything to go by. Letting that Jill off of a person get karmically removed wouldn't remove the challenge. And if Max was actually able to go out and get them, then why didn't he start with that instead living vicariously through his kid? He probably doesn't have as many resources as he and Jill seem to think they do.

When it comes down to it though I remember that some of Victor's last words to their kid was to try and not hate them, which I try to adhere by whenever I interact with them.

I'd agree if the cousin wasn't so aggressively dickish to everyone they meet. At a certain point, their behaviour stops being Max's influence and becomes their own decisions.

I want to but out Feruze's contract to stick it to Jill.

EDIT: I'm amazed that no retribution from the Black Void has materialized yet. I mean, Steele can (with certain choices) fuck up their operation on myrellion without destroying the place.

Perhaps an event where they show up?
Nah we already are dealing with a large collective of their rivals. Which are already unstable in certain ways. Last thing we need is a Phoenix repeat where we get a boarding part drilling through our hull, along with the fact that they are well trained. I'm all for shooting assholes but they have much stronger ships.

I can't wait for Bianca to finally be recruitable and Syri of course. And somewhat patiently waiting for Verusha's second part.
I'll wait until she's recruitable then go sexing Bianca, just keep it friendly until then. Despite being told everything about her uhh family past husbands etc.
The dommy Hyena merc herm will have more cool.
Not sure why but I haven't interacted with her at all on my phone. o_O
