Back to melee weapons, why does it have to be a katana?
What about a hammer that when it impacts, the head releases a charge that disrupts energy fields?
Or a curved axe that has a chance to disarm because the inside of the axe's head catches the back of an opponents hand?
Or a gauntlet the emits a pulse when a punch connects?
Or a fucking mining drill?! Can you imagine someone shitting themselves because you charge them with a fucking mining drill?!
Come on, don't fall for the same tired cliches when it comes to sci-fi weapons, go for something exciting and unseen!

Hell, you could even find a dildo variant. Then you could really drill someone after you beat them.
She sells the Plasma Bore, which fires a blob of super heated plasma, a ranged weapon.
She also sells the SunFire and Black Light Rifles.
Melee, she has the Predator Talons, Thermal Scalpel and Monofilament Saber.

Nope! My guess is that it was included with the aim of Steele being able to use it at some lake on Uveto, but no-one ever got around to writing that.

I do love the drill idea but mostly because of Gurren Lagann.
Also weebsticks are cool, if all the weapons were katanas (or the majority of them) and it wasn't appropriate for the setting then yeah, that's a problem.
But katanas (or swords in general) can be exciting by adding some flavor like you just said for all of those other melees
for example: Demon slayer where they create effects for their swords that look like a painting in motion. That's not to say we can do the same in this game but the point is just because something is cliche doesnt make it bad, it when you add nothing new to it or fail to execute it in a way that is satisfying or unique.
I do welcome new and unseen things as well. But i would prefer having a giga drill to a weebstick any day.

I think we should have all different kinds of weapons. I don't know how much writing is required per weapon but im guessing for more basic style weapons it would be coo and easier to implement. Maybe someone would create like a weapon shop that sells mideival weapons with a sci fi flare. But I would appreciate a katana that can be used by the player since there isnt one in the game either (the one that bess can get doesnt count as the player can't use it).
I will say that warhammers, spears, and other swords are in the game that the player can use while no katana exists.
Oh yeah, an NPC with a split tongue would be great. Like cmon so much oral scene's potential...
It'd be nice if we could board the Corona Lord Pilot when we beat her to access her scenes rather than just losing. At this point, waiting for her to beat my amped Sidewinder would take an incredible amount of time. And switching to a weaker ship would have me bouncing planet to planet looking for the hoe.

I would love to have a larger selection of smuggler weapons. I'm just getting a little tired of hardlight bow and queen taivra's spear for the evasion boost. Also more shield tech specialist weapons, really there's only one shield boosting ranged weapon and its a kinetic weapon not a energy weapon. And a cap for nyrean eggs that the player can produce would be nice. The only reason i don't go for it is the constant belly growth from them, and it's especially annoying when you go on maternity leave then suddenly you have around 3k eggs that takes forever to get rid of.

Gives you points towards the Hard personality if you just extorted her, but nothing else.
There's the Trick Bracers you can buy form Urbolg; it has terrible damage and is also not an energy weapon, but it has both Shields and Shield Defense, along with some bonus Evasion. I think that the whole point of weapons for shield-based Tech Specialists is that the increase in defensive capabilities is balanced by a reduction in offensive capabilities, and you're supposed to use the other weapon as your primary source of physical damage. And if you're able to equip the Aegis Light Machinegun, you probably have high Physique, which synergises well with a melee Tech Specialist.
I wish that bimbo-ing Penny didn't completely remove her other sex scenes, cause it's all great.
I blame Dr Badger for that, her methods of bimbofying someone are pretty hamfisted. Now, if you could just stick her with a dose of The Treatment, I believe the end result would be a much more functional bimbo Penny.
