Making transformatives and such not affect the gameplay is something that the game is insistent on doing for the sake of sanity and also not making some transformatives unfairly desired.

Also it's very rare that a game doesn't stack the deck against the player.

Making the TFs affect combat is generally not a good idea, because that means that suddenly you're going to need certain TFs to be the best. This may not seem like a particularly big problem, but since hte entire game revolves around roleplaying your very own Steele sexing their way through the galaxy, anything that force you to take certain TFs (that you may not like) in order to gain an advantage, is a bad idea.

That being said, out-of-combat there's a few sections where having wings actually do let you bypass things easier. THis is done because it's easy to gain flight via equipment (the jetpack) for non-winged Steeles, so it is deemed acceptable. You can also bypass it without flight, so it's fine.

We don't have any rodent morph TFs yet do we? A mouse/rat TF would be pretty squeak! I mean, sweet!

By the way if anyone wants to steal that censor belt idea and then and submit it, I say go for it. Ya'll could most likely write it way better then me anyhow.

I would like some combats that don't require a victor. What I mean is that while I was reading the google doc on submissions, the fight section referenced different ways fights could be resolved. One of them was a time limit or turn limit. Having something like that would be interesting.

I know that the plan is already set to be Tainted Space coming out 2/3 of the way through the probes, but what if it was set for being unleashed after a certain time period. Like say 6 months to a year of in game time. If the players manage to complete the probe quest before then, they will get a different ending. A different ending for the Tainted space being unleashed but the player does nothing to stop it and instead just gets the probes. An ending for if the player spends too much time fighting the Taint and the cousin gets all the probes. And finally an ending where the player gets both the probes and the beats the Taint. This is probably a bad idea because it punishes people who spend years of time in the game (I think mostly for pregnancy) so it'll never be done but I like the idea of that happening for something anyway. It doesn't necessarily need to be the main quest

As long as you base the difficulty of a fight/series of fights on not having those TFs then it should be fine. If an unmodded human at X level can beat it then no unfair transformations would be needed. It wouldn't feel like those mods were required to beat that fight.

Time limits are always annoying in an rpg, they might make sense or even enhance the drama, but they suck the fun out of just goofing around and put unneeded pressure on the players. Hell even though I do my best to minimize how much time I take to do things, I'm already past that 6 month time limit in my current playthrough. 6 months might seem reasonable, but thanks to how long some stuff takes (Bess for example takes a minimum of 24 days I think) to complete, it would be an utter bitch to squeeze everything in before that limit activates.

There's a reason that the bad guy in most games is "always at the brink of victory!" without ever actually taking over the world while you goof off for weeks if not months. Imagine if Skyrim had a time limit where if you didn't beat Alduin before then the world ended, sure it might sound cool, but it would also force players to ignore a lot of the content that the Developers worked hard on, in favor of staying under the time limit. This is part of the reason I highly dislike Fallout 1, that 100/200 day timelimit was just bullshit.

I didn't mean for the time limit to be restrictive, but open. The 6 month to 1 year time limit wasn't to force players to get through the content quickly. The only people it would force to quickly get through the content are the ones that are looking for a challenge or already want to get through the game quickly instead of casually playing. I was just thinking it would make the world more alive if one time you get through the first world then The Taint appears. The next time, you get through Myrellion before The Taint appears. On that note, I thought of another thing I would like to see: new dialogue for various characters when The Taint appears. Maybe not everyone needs to have a comment about it, but it is certainly a space wide phenomenon. Steele isn't the only one to know about it right? I realize that there are too many characters and authors that need hunting down to get that extra bit of dialogue but it would still be nice to see other people concerned about it and not just the NPCs that come after it's in the game who are directly related to quests pertaining to it being dealt with.

Isn't the Taint a place in space the Cap'n Steele goes to in a completely new area? From what I understand, the Taint isn't going to ever move into the worlds you go to that didn't already have it. So if you hung out on the first 4 story planets for years, you'd never even know the Taint was a thing since it would never reach you.

Oh, okay. I thought it was akin to a disaster either manmade or natural. That it was gonna be something that's creeping through space and Steele was one of the people that was gonna be needed to push back or even defeat the Taint. I'm not trying to refer to it as a physical entity but more as an ameboid quality of the space that is slowly expanding its way across the galaxy. What is the cause of our trials exactly? Does one of the pods drop in that section of space? Basically, is there a correlation between the coordinate pods and the Taint to have them be a cause and effect? How in depth will the new space travel be? If the Taint is ever present in one sector of space will we be able to stumble into it?

If I remember correctly, Tainted Space is a section of space where swarms of rouge nanobots, which I assume are the Taint, wreak havoc, destroying and/or mutating everything in their path.

Which makes you wonder how the fuck Steele Jr. survives or can even find anyone to interact with. Unless his nanomachines protect him from the rogue ones and its meant to be an entirely hostile zone with no safe spots.

It'd be nice if we didn't have to speculate on the few scraps we've been given of it, and had something of substance on the place since it /is/ what this game is named after.

Well, as someone who has had some bad experience with spoilers (Undertale) , I think the vagueness make it all the better. Adds an air of mystery to it before it's even added.

Besides my wanting more preg content (no, I don't have maeiusophilia or a pregnancy fetish as it's known in layman's terms, at all), I'd like to see a spider taur. I'm not talking about the old D&D drider either, which was a drow who had either offended the Goddess Lolth, or failed one of her tests. Although with the Sylvanol, that could be done. No, I mean more like Rachnera Arachnera from Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou, or Everyday Life with Monster Girls. If I could pick any of the girls from that manga, it would be her. I admit, at first it was Miia, as I have a thing for redheads too, but then Rachnera came into the picture. So, yeah, if possible this is what I'd like added.

Would it perhaps be possible to get a scene for fucking the frogladies on Mhen'ga with a dick? The facesitting is awesome, but I'm not into footjobs, and that's the only option for dicked folks!

Unlikely, as much as I to would like such an option, because well if it hasn't been made by now it never will. Those frogladdies have been in since pretty much the word go, and yet they're so ignored you could be forgiven for forgetting they exist.

Notice how they are literally never mentioned by anyone in game outside their events? When asking the NPC's about the species of the world, you'll always here about the Zil and Naleen, and occasionally the Vanae or plantgirls, but the froggers never get any reference ever as a sapient species of the planet.

Prai Ellit does give them a mention. From her email to you:
Sheena, you total jerk! While I was trying to recover, I got assaulted by a kerokora! She made me lick her—everywhere! Did you know that kerokora slime is a hallucinogen? Do you know what it’s like to hear gravity?

Path for Riya to either convince her away from being such a xenophobe, or possibly better, a break path like that of Sera, where she can end up as your ships Security officer on liaison duty from the military.

Both have been confirmed by Riya's author as not an option. There will never be a expansion that will allow you to break her or meaningfully change her personality.

I do have two ideas for planets in the future that are much less straightforward than the ones we've seen so far. A primitive planet like Mhenga but untouched, and an advanced world that never took interest in leaving their home. The emphasis I have on these worlds is very clearly -you are the first outsider to find this planet-. Up until now we've been dealing with sloppy-seconds planets, nothing we can say we discovered ourselves.

This could be approached different ways depending on the character. On the primitive planet they might just go in guns blazing to try and get to the probe in the wilds of the primitive world. Another player might, in order to make the locals think they are just an unseen tribe, strips their gear and has the ship wait in orbit or such as they wander the planet entirely unarmed and naked, working their way up with sticks then spears and other such things. And yes, I hear you already, 'tech specialists get fucked'. But not quite, given time they might have the knowledge to use alloys on the planet to forge steel blades or armor to jump ahead of the locals. Meanwhile a mercenary will rely on brute strength and becoming the dominant species by shows of force or making crude explosives. A smuggler might take a stealthier or more charismatic stance and convince the locals to aid him. Limited content in every direction in these areas but each class would be more specialized towards the above.

For the advanced world one could approach it one of four ways in my mind. The probe is in a military base, that one, the tech is onpar if not further along than your own. Show them how it's done offworld and take what's yours! Another strategy is to BECOME the reptilians. Shoot yourself up with transformatives made by an interested party or calling in a favor, and just waltz in as a scientist or by otherwise gaining the people's trust. Strategy three would be strealth, talking going through the vents and snapping necks espionage. Fourth idea kinda plays off the second in a way? Basically you spur the people on into an uprising against the elite/the people not letting their people explore the stars, and in the chaos you snag the probe and go on your way.

Something that will let us turn into a stronk dragon-taur like Jerynn.

With the Dragon TF that was meant to show up in January (I guess it's delayed?) it should probably be possible to finagle out a dragon-taur by combining it with Taurico or something

I didn't want to start a separate thread for this, but I'm suprised there aren't any sheep based species around...

Someone just linked me a video with rather distracting anthro sheep, and I figured that was relevant to y'all, and might inspire someone to make said species

Here's the video in question
