My biggest gripe is the ship sharp limit on shipmate quantity.
I have not played since it was introduced since I am waiting for this to be scaled back.
I don't want to dismiss most of my followers, and I don't want to start grinding like crazy to buy a bigger ship

Have you stolen the Sidewinder from Zheng Shi? It's a significant upgrade over any other ship currently in the game, and is free.
Also, the Blackjack table with the Robot dealer allows custom bets, which means you can double your money each win. It's also easy to save-scum. Money is no longer an obstacle.

You can type cheats in anywhere, but
Codex->Options->Console->cheat code
is the easiest option.

For whatever reason, anotherbrickinthewall won't work in the Console, you have to type it anywhere else.

Now I'm stuck wondering if there's a (Watsonian) reason Paige's eyes cost so much more than Liliana's arm.

Basically the stuff used for Liliana's arm is coming at a discounted price because the company is doing charity work in a warzone, so a tax write off.
You pay way more for Paige's eyes because she's a private patient and you're paying for the procedure rather than the deductible on Myrellion.

Whenever this conversation happens, I see the claim get repeated that dickgirls are the main draw for the game. While they are a major component, I think it's important to recognize that that's not the only reason people get drawn to this game. For some, it's just the sci-fi part. For others, it's just the customizability of your character. I personally found the game purely because of the furry aspect. Lucky for me, I find the dickgirls very hot as well, but it's more than likely for someone to find this game for other reasons, stay because there aren't any other games that offer those features in a smut game, and then get annoyed and frustrated by the existence of a significant number of characters with a body type they don't personally find hot.

For the sake of this we'll just refer to dickgirls/herms as 'Girls With Dicks' here. I'm responding to this because I don't think it honest critique.

Of thirty-three (33) NPCs on Tavros, only six (6) of them are Girls With Dicks. Alex is a maleherm, and doesn't count for the purpose of your critique. Aliss is also an Ovir Male, but because of her species' quirks, is presented entirely as a futa. So, technically, the number could be 5 depending on how you viewed the character.

But we'll go forward like this. Six futas from the game's starting location.

Canadia, Gastigoth, and Breedwell, and Kiro, I'll just give you the final tally from NPCs, Enemies, and Quest stuff. Not adding Poe A because it's purely an event that changes your character in varying, huge ways.

Two-hundred thirty-six (236) sexable encounters, and out of all these, only forty-eight (48) are Girls With Dicks). And that final futa number is also including yet one more Futa I will add to the game (Reina), whom will have a Purefem option available to manly PCs. So it can go down.

All I wanted to do was point out that there is a richly detailed plethora of content in this game that has nothing to do with futa/herm content.

If we're going to talk numbers, what would word count look like? How much actual content is there for Penny, Emmata and Sera as compared to Tanis, Ciaran and Vahn? I could write a stick figure male combatant and then write a fully realised futa character with two separate arcs, each with compartmentalised suites of sex scenes... which is in fact what I have done. Each counts as 1 in the tally. There's a reason why players come away with the impression that futa are the main draw of TiTS: the writers like them, they lavish attention on them, and pay lip service to the idea it's for anyone who doesn't like them.

It's fine. Like null_blank says, it's peanut butter for folks who like peanut butter. I suppose the larger problem is that, like CoC before it, TiTS presents the idea of providing for all fetishes, and not really doing that once you get into it. Most porn games are more up front about what they're giving you. TiTS appears to have 5 in every category, when what it really has is 2 in most and 12 in one.

I think the other word on this subject would have to be that outside of CoC and its derivatives it's a much rarer fixture - so these games are something of a bastion for those who're into feminine characters with dicks. Attempts to dictate what sort of content -should- be in them (especially if, as it usually turns out, they're pushing male-dominant vanilla hetero sex) come off as an annoying and entitled buzz from those who're upset at the ~10% of porn games that aren't made with them in mind.

You do realise that its not just Fen who writes characters, right?

People who contribute to this game often do so with content they want to see. So that might be female characters with dicks. It might not. But the point is that they are catering to their tastes, not to yours, not to anyone else. Theirs.

And look, I get it. I'm not the biggest fan of that kind of content. It turns characters that I would have loved into characters that I just like.

But here's the thing. When you play, no one is holding a gun to your head, forcing you to sex up a female character who just happens to have a dick. They aren't to your tastes? That's fine, but there will be something you can enjoy. You have your fun and let others have theirs.

I like herms, it's actually one of the strong points that draw me to the game and I would like more of them for sure. Still, I understand where the critics come from and even understand it (I kinda had the same problem at first with the furry content) but I think people forget how this game plays with imagination and how easily you can just "turn of" the parts you don't like. You don't like dickgirls? Well just play the pussy scenes and as soon as you read something about her dick just move to the next parrafraph.

You'd think people would just agree to disagree at some point. If they believe there are to many guys with tits, so be it. You can't argue opinion and it's exhausting to try. There will always be conflicting opinions. IE Those who don't like the portrayal of relationships be they sub or dom/hetro or homo, how the tone of the story shifts like a coked up meth rabbit, or (personal favorite) the inconsistency of the narrative. By the time you're raw dogging pirate lords are you a hardened rusher or still the baby faced idiot everyone thinks you are. Was mommy a benevolent caregiver or a heartless crone was she even there at all. I'm 90% sure I've heard all three in a single play through.

I understand its the nature of the beast too many chefs in the kitchen and no one's using the same recipe,but fuck man what's the standard.
But I digress could we let people vent in peace without a research paper or a paragraph of moral superiority. It keeps coming up because the forum membership isn't static. We get new people every so often, and some of them feel like complaining about a topic that's been brought up before.

Some of Steele's multiple personalities are due to the Kind-Mischievous-Hard scale, but the conflicting bits of Steele's past is kind of weird, since they all have to go through Fenoxo, I'm pretty sure. Then again, this game has been in progress for years. Maybe he changed his mind or forgot. Or doesn't care that much and goes with whatever sounds good.

For instance a good bit of content assumed that Steele went to school and made casual references to it (and still do even now) but once the nursery was implemented it was established that the nursebot home tutored Steele.

But I can understand the limited mentioning of piercings in scenes (all that coding). What I don't understand is how (apart from the piercings Lund gives you) they aren't even mentioned in your description (accessed through clicking on the portrait icon).

Piercings are very much for the personal headcanon like they were in CoC1.

Most of it's great. I'd add the ability to permanently disable / bypass some of the more annoying types of enemies, though. The way the plant ladies on mhen'ga were handled is pretty good, but for example, maybe get some access codes or some other method to bypass the mecha goblins. Tarkus has a pretty severe numbers jump in general; that's not a bad thing, but adding more options to make it surviveable through role-play would be nice.

The ability to not interact with rail-road characters in general would be nice. Mentioned elsewhere, but the entire mika scene-set was initiated by a railroad, lead through a railroad, and ended with a choice that amounted to, "Do you wanna see the sex with these characters" and nothing else. Most of the rest of the game handles these sorts of things very well, so i guess it's just kinda jarring to see it handled so linearly in this regard.
