Amity does indeed notice this, and is very thankful as it means she gets licked even more by her friend who has pinned her down and keeps licking her all over. Amity herself barks happily and wags her whole body in excitement at being licked so much.
Amity's big friend gives a very solid "Woof!" as a response before rushing over Amity to chase after the ball once again, attempting to send it booping into Amity's nose...while panting happily as they wag that big shiny tail.
The elemental mare splits into her seven elemental forms again and tells the nymphs to choose which one they like the most, all of the mommies happily smiling at the little ones.
She tells them that they can discover which element they have the greatest affinity for by closing their eyes and following their instincts, since Chroma's elemental forms radiate with elemental power.
Six nymphs fly over to kiss the Dark Mommy's nose, one goes squeak-demanding cuddles from Water Mommy and three just squeak indecisively before trying to fly up and boop the Pink Mommy to ask her for a hug.
"Bounty hunter legislation? What's so dangerous around here that fighters are in such demand?... Who is this Everfree?" Rivet asks, hastily adding, "I'm sure you can tell, but I'm not from around here. You don't need to talk about it if you don't want to but... Well, I am going to be living here awhile, so it'd be nice to be in the know."
If the topic doesn't put Smithy off, Rivet will listen to his answer before turning to another subject he's interested.
"So what about this forge? What kind of things do you make there? You wouldn't happen to allow visitors, would you?" Rivet is practically squirming excitement.
Smithy is clearly happy for conversation and cracks open a small stachel of dry bread and bottled water which he shares with Rivet while the smith speaks, breaking occasionally to much on his luncheon but oddly enough Smithy frequently makes waves as he speaks but only with his left-sided hooves.
"First of all, Everfree Forest is the most rampant place full of monsters and more monsters. It's just north of here and so far as the Empress knows it's never going to stop trying to grow: hence the big business to keep it contained by hoof or claw. Nice to meet you and welcome, by the way. Hope you didn't meet too many monsters if you came through the place - well unless you came in through one of the Sorceresss' Gates." 'Smithy pauses with a smile for water. "Bounty Hunter Legislation is....ehh, I don't know. Something about past, crimes used to soar so once Empress got married to the princesses some laws got passed and these days crime is nonexistent and employment rates are near a hundred percent."
Smithy offers a nonchalant shrug before he pauses for long gulps of water. "If you ask me, it's the best idea ever. I can get close to a hundred orders a day for a simple troop-grade weapon, even if just gear maintenance. Back in the days before the imperial family I would have gotten one or two orders, and that to just sharpen scissors. Anyway, forge. Well it's a forge, with bellows and the bells and whistles. I could talk your ears off on that since, well, I'm a smith obviously."
Again Smithy pauses but now for breath. "My forge though..." And then the earth pony grins. "I ordered a neat custom job from the guys and gals at the Hellfire Forge and, well." There is a very smug grin on the pony's lips now. "Let's say I never have to yell at somepony for not getting the flames hot enough. I make repairs and gear inspections but I can form up anything it it's metal and I get enough time. As for visitors, maybe?"
Smithy shrugs. "When the job is finished you can come in, sure. Thinking of starting yourself a business as well? It's always nice to have new blood in the business."
