So, I took a break from RPing because of burnout, as well as other reasons, but was recently hit by the urge to play again. So, I'm wondering if anybody here would be interested in a short-ish forum RP? The premise is as follows...
The year is 1944, the closing years of the second world war. As D-day approaches, a more subtle, but possibly far more important operation is about to take place. Strange transmissions have been detected coming from the most remote place on earth... Antarctica. While most of the messages are indecipherable, one matches the enigma coding of the Nazi regime, and simply reads: S.O.S. And so, a group of allied explorers, scientists, and soldiers are tasked with penetrating deep into the antarctic, discovering the source of these transmissions, and stopping whatever plot might have been underway.
Well, that's the basic synopsis. The story that takes place will be a bit of a scifi mashup. Think Hellboy meets Mysterious Island. The RP will be either entirely text based, or a very, very rudimentary dice system, depending on what potential players seem interested in. I'm looking for between three and six players, and will do my best to post at least once every couple of days.
If this seems interesting to you, go ahead and post a character idea, as well as any question or concerns you might have, and any kinks you would like to see/avoid; barring gore and scat, just about anything will be possible in this story.
