He chuckles as the wolf settles down, and strokes his heads as he waits for Hina to finish her work.
He then hands the blade and cloth to Hina. "Can you cover the small end with cloth, please?" He asks, as he puts the coat on. "I can use it to shave Rex later." He says, as he hugs the sleeping wolf.
"It'll do. I just have to be careful. Or... What if I just use the carving knife? It's sharp. I'm sure I'd be able to handle it more easily than this." He says, raising an eyebrow.
"True... I can clean it off properly later, though. Like in a stream or something, if we see one." He says, shrugging as he gets to his feet, and begins to walk.
He pats Rex's head as an apology, and keeps walking. "Yeah. That's true. Although, this coat will make it more difficult to fight, so we have to be careful." He says.
"Maybe. Maybe it will attract stronger prey looking to prove themselves better. Who knows. I took a lot of damage in that last fight. Frankly, I'm not sure I'd be able to stand up to another one." He says, sighing.
"Yes to both questions, actually." He says with a sigh, rotating his shoulders a bit to loosen them up in case he had to fight once more.
"And come on. Let's move faster. Less chance of something attacking us that way." He says, starting to jog through the snow.

The others keep pace with him for about an hour before they come across something... strange. There is a mutant sitting by a fire just outside of a cave... why they are not in the cave and out of the wind is a curiosity. As for the mutant... he just looks kind of patchy, with random rough green skin dotted about and strange snaggle teeth poking every direction out of his mouth.
He walks up to the mutant, and sits next to him. "Hey. Why aren't you in there? Isn't it safer?" He asks, looking at the cave.
The mutant looks up at him, his eyes are massively dilated in both ways as one is huge and the other is a pin prick "Because the whispers are so loud in there... I can't hear them so well out here... better that way. They nag and nag and nag nag nag nag nag every second I am inside the cave... don't want it... already know I am stuck..."
"Huh? What do you mean? Whispers? What are you talking about? Is there something in the cave?" He asks, raising an eyebrow, already thinking that this mutant might be mad.
"YES!" He says loudly "Something is in the cave, I have seen the scripture! I have read those blessed words... but then the voices, they showed up and pushed me away, can't get back in... too loud, can't think! Something inside though, something important!"
Kaizen looks at Chasey and Hina with a raised eyebrow. "Blessed texts? You think... Something from the Old World, maybe...?" He asks, getting to his feet.
"Umm... Sure. Come on. Let's check it out. Hina, you can read, right? Let's go see it." He murmurs, glancing once more at the mutant before walking into the cave.
"Okay... This is really weird..." Kai mutters, his hair rising in goosebumps as he walks deeper into the cave, keeping his spear ready.
"Yea... this cave ain't right... something is in the air and I don't like it at all..."
"I am afraid I lack the senses you two are using to feel this... disturbance."
"Whispers! So loud! Can't hear myself think! Can't hear myself breathe! So many whispers in my head!"
