He keeps following behind them, wondering for a moment what their camp looked like.

Kai rounds the corner and sees their camp is... Really ram shackle. It seems to be spread out among multiple spots down the long tunnel with the front just being piled scrap with two bored raiders on watch.

 

[Archangel99]

Wow. This was... Shoddy. Even for him. Yikes. These people must be desperate... He hangs back a bit, trying to observe the people and see their general state, like how tired or worn out they looked, and whether they were well fed or not.

 

[Floozer]

They are all thin... So good food must be short. They look more hored than tired as well.

Hmm.... If he played his cards right... He could come out of this with a better deal than only two followers... But he had to be careful. He was treading on enemy territory here...

He steps out of the shadows and whistles sharply to get the attention of the guards.

 

[Floozer]

They both look up and soon jump tontheir feet, aiming down at him withbtheir rifles. "Get out of here scum!"

 

[Archangel99]

"Calm down. I come in peace." He says, raising his arms.

 

[Floozer]

"Dont give a fuck! Scram before we gotta kill ya!"

 

[Archangel99]

"Really? I can't talk to your leader?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.

 

[Floozer]

"Why the fuck would we let you?! You dont know the boss! So fuck off!"

 

[Archangel99]

"You guys look hungry. I suppose you want some food, yeah?" He asks, suddenly changing tactics. "You look like you need stuff to eat." He adds.

 

[Floozer]

"That is none of your business now is it?"

 

[Archangel99]

"Oh but it is! You see, I'm starting a new colony. Like... A safe haven for mutants everywhere. But, I do need help to do so. Right now, I don't have enough people. However, we'll have food quite soon, and... Well..." He shrugs. "We don't mind sharing." He says with a smile.

 

[Floozer]

"...they got food?" The second one asks "No they Might have food.. Or its a trap!"

 

[Archangel99]

"It's kinda redundant to say this, but... No, it's not a trap. I usually hunt for food and try to keep everyone fed." He says with a shrug.

 

[Floozer]

"I dont believe you! Fuck off!"

 

[Archangel99]

"Really dude? You're gonna turn down a free meal ticket?" He asks with a sigh.

 

[Floozer]

"You could be making that up! You have no proof! At least we get a can a day here!"

 

[Archangel99]

"That's it? We get a slice of meat as well. But hey. It's your loss." He says, shrugging and turning to walk away.

 

[Floozer]

The two guards argue among themselves, the words getting hotter and hotter before a heavy thud ring out softly. "Wait for me!" Says guard two as he runs over to Kai.

 

[Archangel99]

"Alright. So... What did you want to ask?" He asks, smiling at the man.

 

[Floozer]

"You uh... really have food yea? Real food? Not canned shit that might actually be shit?"

 

[Archangel99]

He shakes his head. "Real food, my friend. Real food. However, that does come with one condition." He says, holding up a finger. "Ever heard of someone named Phorsaal?" He asks.

 

[Floozer]

"Who dat?" He asks in confusion. "Your boss or something?"

 

[Archangel99]

"In a way, yes. I'm the boss's underling on earth." He says, smiling. "She's occupied with matters in Hell, of course." He says with a smile.

 

[Floozer]

His face drops and he takes a step back. "Are you a loony? What you talking about hell for? That aint nothing but stories."

 

[Archangel99]

"Yeah, well, that's what I thought too. Anyway, there's time for that later." He says, waving a hand. "Are you satisfied with the life you lead here?" He asks.

 

[Floozer]

"Heck no! I get one can of maybe food each day and have to sit at this gate! It sucks!"

 

[Archangel99]

"I'm sure it does. So how about it? Wanna come and work for me?" He asks, smiling.

 

[Floozer]

"Well, I already punched Henry so hard that he passed out so... sure, probably better than waiting for him to wake up and kick me in the ghoolies!"
